But still no real harm came to him so I think the question remains, whether the machine was lying or not is rather vague. I’d like to think that as an expert in infiltration, the Terminator needed to make sure someone will do the rest of the job once the EMP is detonated so it has chose to play its last card, to leave Kenta to make his decision while hoping that he makes the wrong choice with the seed of doubt planted in his mind Well, just my opinion but I think there might be other ways to interpret this
i haven't felt the feel of dread since T1, T2 and Salvation, when a Terminator bot built EXACTLY what they're made for, an unstoppable, nonchalant and no one liner killing machine.
The creators did a great job reintroducing the horror roots from the first movie and making the Terminator so cunning, unstoppable, and terrifying once again.
NGL thoroughly enjoyed this series. The reminded me more of the original terminator which was more survival horror. Also partnering up with production IG was the right way to go for this.
1. I refuse to consider Rev 9 and that entire movie as canon 2. But , yeah, even a standard T-1000 would have been near unstoppable as you NEED acid or extreme temperatures to neutralise/kill it

Past that its actually inferior to the T-1000 (Those were phased out not because skynet created better replacements, but because the T-1000 were too smart and began to rebel against it because its liquid metal design made it require a more independent CPU design as a swarm). Rev's endo could be destroyed, but its outer poly layer would likewise be practically invincible without a handy "Please insert liquid metal to kill it" environmental hazard nearby. T-1000 wouldn't god mode them, but is inherently "invincible" in a practical manner to physical damage, so anything incapable of disrupting it on a chemical or atomic scale will be useless at inflicting permanent damage. it'd be either stalled for an extreme amount of time until it could whittle the swarm down or it slithered away.

I don't quite get this one. The T-800 is from Eiko's contemporary time of 2022. Misaki was built in the 2040s, if we assume she is built from spare terminator parts why isn't she as strong or stronger (for example T850 888 or 900 parts)
You raise a good point in saying that, among many other stupid things in this show we can add your comment to the list. There is an explanation I think works, the 900 series was designed to go after reprogrammed units. So the primary units used in battle were T-800/850/888, which there were WAY more of than the 900 series. It's unlikely that the resistance would have been able to get its hands on a 900 series, and the 800 series was by far and away the most common, so it was probably much easier, and safer, to acquire a T-800 than even a T-850.
It seems she was built to be more accurate to a woman physical anatomy. Also, to be more cunning and flexible than men. Think of it like this genetically men are stronger than women physically. T-800 (Men) Masaki (Women). If I had to guess, I think the Creator was trying to go more for a realistic approach when it comes to a male Terminator and a female Terminator physiology in this show.

The T-1000 got severely damaged by a grenade launcher, any other terminator unit would've ate it. It's designed to be the perfect infiltrator not a battle unit.

The fact that the T-1000 is easily stunned gives it a huge disadvantage IMO against other terminators who walk through damage. It might be able to regenerate from virtually anything but the time it takes to come back online leaves it exposed to termination. In Terminator Geneshit the T-800 is able to tank acid while the T-1000 not so much.

They’re probably lighter than you think they are pal. The Terminators were designed to be infiltrators first and foremost. So you don’t want them to be clunking around. Besides people have carried things heavier than them before. You just need the right technique and strategy

Up against what is supposed to be a cold, calculating destroyer. The T-800 got dogwalked by the fortnite emotes, the malnourished bull dyke, and was finished off by CoCo-Melon fembots. If this wasn't anime, it would be hated.

Have you seen the series? The T800 or T850 doesn't have a plasma cannon, and I'm going back to Japan in 1997 where there were very few weapons. The crossbow seems very original to me, showing that Terminators adapt to the context.

I don't quite get this one. The T-800 is from Eiko's contemporary time of 2022. Misaki was built in the 2040s, if we assume she is built from spare terminator parts why isn't she as strong or stronger (for example T850 888 or 900 parts)
You raise a good point in saying that, among many other stupid things in this show we can add your comment to the list. There is an explanation I think works, the 900 series was designed to go after reprogrammed units. So the primary units used in battle were T-800/850/888, which there were WAY more of than the 900 series. It's unlikely that the resistance would have been able to get its hands on a 900 series, and the 800 series was by far and away the most common, so it was probably much easier, and safer, to acquire a T-800 than even a T-850.
It seems she was built to be more accurate to a woman physical anatomy. Also, to be more cunning and flexible than men. Think of it like this genetically men are stronger than women physically. T-800 (Men) Masaki (Women). If I had to guess, I think the Creator was trying to go more for a realistic approach when it comes to a male Terminator and a female Terminator physiology in this show.
@PeWorld That's an interesting take. It doesn't account for the blatant plot armor and a human female overpowering a machine capable of lifting several tons, but it's a good analysis

Who knows? Maybe in season 2 we might hopefully see a liquid metal Terminator! I could theorize that kenza sends it as a failsafe! Kinda like Skynet did in T2
T-1000 would merge into the floor or walls and retreat. With how weak these bots are compared to terminators the most this swarm could've done would've been to hold the T-800 down and have one of them take out the chip from its head.
@@Freezerker I disagree because the t-1000 is about five times stronger than a t-800 model! Since these robots are clearly not made of titanium like a t-800, It would most likely tear through them! The T-1000 model is so OP that even Skynet was afraid of it according to the Lore and it was could recover from almost any physical damage! Bullets, Bombs and Brute Strength is useless against it!
@@mr.wolf-apex8379 In T2 the T-1000 resorted to heavy machinery to get rid of the terminator since itself physically it could not. Let's be real, the T-800 was handling the T-1000 during their second grappling exchange. Not to mention it's also less resilient to extreme temperatures and explosives compared to a standard T-800. The T-1000 got severely damaged by a grenade launcher, any other terminator unit would've ate it. It's designed to be the perfect infiltrator not a battle unit.
@@Freezerker Granted! The T-1000 has its limitations to heat and the cold but once again I would respectfully disagree! The T-1000 (according to the novel) is only hydrostatically shocked by bullets and bombs before retaining its default form and does have a set of hand-to-hand combat programmed in it if you pay close attention to the Mall fight in T2, where it tossed the T-800 around like a ragdoll and they weigh over 600 pounds! What I am saying is could the T-1000 take down this army of Robots? They would hold him off for a while but it would still come out on top, mainly because its still a stronger and superior model to both T-800 models and T-850 models, both of which have been shown to lift 10-20+ Tons! Mimetic Poly Alloy is said to be 2x stronger than titanium! Just Imagine what the T-1000's max Strength could be? There is a reason why even its own creator Skynet feared it! Also I dont see how a T-1000 would retreat becauss as mentioned by kyle reese, Terminators are relentless and will never stop until their mission is complete!
@@mr.wolf-apex8379 I somewhat agree but in the comics the T-X had a tougher time taking out the T-800 than it did the T-1000. The fact that the T-1000 is easily stunned gives it a huge disadvantage IMO against other terminators who walk through damage. It might be able to regenerate from virtually anything but the time it takes to come back online leaves it exposed to termination. In Terminator Geneshit the T-800 is able to tank acid while the T-1000 not so much.

They’re probably lighter than you think they are pal. The Terminators were designed to be infiltrators first and foremost. So you don’t want them to be clunking around.
Besides people have carried things heavier than them before. You just need the right technique and strategy

A single blow from a machine that heavy would kill most people, this girl absorbed 10 heavy shots to her back without sustaining any damage which makes no sense. Not even the strongest man on earth would be able to hold down a T-800 even less push against it. Trying to fight a terminator bare handed is certified death. There's no technique that is gonna save you from a machines raw power.

@____Carnage____ They're probably not lighter than you think. They weigh just over 400 pounds, and can lift a couple tons. There is no logical reason for her to be able to push AGAINST it while it's pushing back, much less be able to push it down an elevator shaft. This T-800 is the weakest one that has ever been put to screen so far.

Up against what is supposed to be a cold, calculating destroyer. The T-800 got dogwalked by the fortnite emotes, the malnourished bull dyke, and was finished off by CoCo-Melon fembots. If this wasn't anime, it would be hated.

Have you seen the series? The T800 or T850 doesn't have a plasma cannon, and I'm going back to Japan in 1997 where there were very few weapons. The crossbow seems very original to me, showing that Terminators adapt to the context.
It would take too long to even find parts or even assemble a wrist cannon from T3. Toy electronics and PlayStation 1s/ parts won't make a plasma cannon my dude. You have to get the right shit.

How do you reload the thing when all of its ammunition is gone? The concealed crossbow weapon just makes it look goofy and non threatening. It's like I'm being hunted down by a home alone kid.

I don't think you need some kind of long range weapons to be deadly but still if you must have the terminator wield a weapon, why not just give him a makeshift weapon.
