    You really can't "live" in Mexico w/o a lot of $ - they only allow you to visit and leave - visit and leave......... A poor system for visas - extremely dysfunctional and inconsistently applied ! -- Not very desirable for many Americans in the affordable areas due to the language barrier - and - the gringo pricing ! > It's fine if your hispanic and/or are fluent with Spanish.

    • @Mexitplans
      @Mexitplans  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You do need to be able to support yourself, yes. It’s one of the easiest places to obtain a resident visa. The rules are applied inconsistently. There are over 1M US citizens living here today so many of us think it’s desirable.

      @@Mexitplans 1M ? -- Some 9M world wide in some 160 countries have US expats - including Mexico. So (?) 8M prefer it somewhere else is what I'm saying ? Including me. Their new financial requirements (for example) are insane when it costs a fraction of that to "support yourself" ??? It really limits the incomes of the locals !

      @@KB3TLEI think you are proving my point. More people from the United States live in Mexico than any of the other 159 countries. So when people from the US leave they overwhelming select Mexico. It’s not for everyone but it is the most popular choice.

      @KB3TLE 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Mexitplans I really don't think so even though I can see why you would perhaps 'think so'. Simple geography and the hispanic connection is a likely 'large' % of those with family relatives marriages.... not at all the exclusive reason for a desirable expat location necessarily ?
