I have lived right in downtown Lynchburg since 2012! Bought a new condo on the riverfront just last year after renting a studio loft for several years. My new pad has sweeping balcony views of the James River, Jefferson Street, and mountains in the background. It's a great hidden gem. Lots of new restaurants and things to do popping up every week within a 8 minute walk of my place... Getting a new brewery at 13th and Court Streets and German-style beer garden on Jefferson St later this year. Brand new rooftop bar Skyline at the newly restored Virginian Hotel is amazing. Also check out the Lower Bluffwalk area restaurants (Bootleggers and El Jefe). Five amazing historic districts surround downtown (I'd highly recommend folks check out Diamond Hill, Daniels Hill, Garland Hill, and Rivermont Ave too).
Yesss so many great updates coming to Downtown Lynchburg!! A lot has changed since we lived there! :) That's awesome you live right downtown! Always wanted to do that!
Didn't know there was that much hiking opportunity there and I agree - view from the gazebo is pretty terrific.
Yes! There is! We are right next to the Blue Ridge Mts, so there are lots of trails!

Really enjoyed how you guys presented this, it's always great to have a tour from people who really know the place. The riverwalk trail looks really nice - would love to cycle around there. I can see that the sunset spot would be amazing, the view is still good! So awesome that your university has that view as well

Fun to tour your home town! We did that with our Forest Park Series a bit. River walk looks great! We have had trouble with Sunsets too lately. It's been kind of a gloomy Winter. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

We are a military family transitioning out and possibly moving to Lynchburg for a job in a few weeks. We have visited before to snowboard on at the snowplex and visit a few of the shops when I attended Longwood University in Farmville, but this video really gave me some insight! I am getting pumped!

A hometown tour! I've never been to Lynchburg, though we used to live a few hours away just outside of DC. I like university campuses in Virginia, they're always so stately!

I love the Ploughcroft Tea Room for afternoon tea & Market at Main for Saturday brunch, Also - LOVE Booksshop on the Avenue on Memorial Avenue. Best used bookstore ever! But the best thing in Lynchburg is visiting my daughter,, son-in-law and granddaughter, who live there!

With so many links to Liberty U, it was great to watch this one. I have a nephew going there for med, a youth pastor that I served beside as a leader is a graduate and still goes back to teach, his son and daughter both have graduated from there and many students that I served as a youth leader attended/graduated from there. I have yet to get there. Keep them coming.....

So please copy/paste the following google searches (using specifically Google’s search engine!) and average all 6 numbers for each location…
1. Lynchburg, Virginia average winter temperatures
2. Race Rocks, Canada average winter temperatures

I grew up in Lynchburg and would leave for military service and would live and work in Norfolk for 31 years. After retiring from working for Norfolk I would return to Lynchburg on 1/1/2018. The decision for that move was several but what did play a role is much is happening in Lynchburg and that excited me. So I am back.

I lived there for 8 years of my life. Beautiful area. Great people. Can be a little bit of a bubble at times but great place to learn and grow.
Can't wait to move back to Lynchburg. Way too Hot in FL.

The river behind you looks like it is flooding? It must have been raining a lot when you guys were in Lynchburg. Why did you guys move to Texas?
It only rained a couple times. It actually had just snowed A TON, before we came. Lynchburg actually had a really bad flooding back in the end of summer beginning fall season. Almost broke one of the dams in the city. We moved to TX so that Lucas could go to seminary :) Then his family brought their business out here too!

Lynchburg is boring and depressing. Moved here a year ago and now matter how much I get out, try to explore, or watch videos, I discover nothing I hadn't already within 3 months of being there. I wish there was more going on.
