I am so grateful for the NHS here in the UK, I couldn't imagine how stressful it is to deal with health insurance (I'm not too good at maths anyway). I'm currently 17w4d pregnant with baby #2 (gender unknown and will remain that way until I give birth) and love watching your videos, I've watched you guys for I think about 3 years now 😊 Sending lots of well wishes to you all ❤️ P. I hope you get some relief from the contractions! I’ve only had singleton pregnancies, but with both of my daughters I had 4 weeks of prodromal labor before giving birth. I can only imagine that with twins it’s much worse! Love following your twin pregnancy and all the fun activities you do for Emma!

My sister just had her baby and only one person was allowed at the hospital and it has to be the same person that stays with you. No one else is allowed.
During the last week someone who regulates that type of thing for the US made a ruling that only 1 person can accompany the person giving birth and no visitors.

I suggested on your Instagram that you should set up the babies things before you have them that way Emma can adapt to them without the babies in them. You could put her baby dolls in each one of the items so she can see that baby will go in there. This way you're not focusing on emma wanting the twins items while recovering and adjusting to the twins.
I don't think at her age she can quite understand pregnancy and a real live human baby (x2) just like her are growing in mommy's belly. I have a 19 month old and 3 year old and the younger one definitely is clueless. The 3 year old talks about a tiny baby in mommy's belly all the time, but I'm not so sure if he fully understands that there's actually a baby growing in there that will soon be born and in our life.

I feel for you so much! I had super strong contractions all the way up to 36.6 when I delivered. They always showed up on my NST tests but I wasn’t dilating at all and my cervix was fine thankfully. I hope that you can keep those babies in as long as possible. Lots of water and protein and rest! Just stay in bed! I know it’s hard, but you need to rest. I can’t wait to see those babies!
My cousin just gave birth a couple of weeks ago and her husband was allowed in the delivery room. There were no guests though. I don’t know if it’s the same in California, but that’s how it was in Nevada. I’ll be praying for you and your babies that everything goes smoothly!

Kate Stewart that’s how it is here an anchorage. It was at 2 people allowed with you in the hospital now it’s down to one. The l&d nurse that I talked to here says that they will fight and keep fighting so that women are allowed to have atleast one person with them for delivery
Here in the UK the dads aren’t allowed with the mum until they are having contractions lasting 1 minute and only 5 minutes apart. Then once the baby is born the mum goes to a ward and the dads have to go home until they’re ready to be discharged. It’s so so sad but it’s for everyone’s safety xx

Make sure you hydrate like crazy you’d be surprised how much being hydrated helps. I know it’s hard but if you can drink close to a gallon it will really really make it better. Good luck
I know that feeling! One of the bills from when my son was born(08/11/18) just got solved last month. Yes, I was back and forth between insurance and hospital. Everyone was telling me something different!!! It was so frustrating!!!
It makes me feel so happy when I see the intro because the old house features in it and it just makes me think of memories people must make in the house where they first take their child home or live and idk it just makes me happy ❤️❤️

I work for a small company and have to file for short term disability and since every one is filing it's taking longer then normal I am so worried about getting money to cover bills and I keep calling and they dont have any news for me. I've been having a bunch of random contractions but have only been sent to L&D once so far. Two weeks until I'm induced though. Wishing you the best! I hope your babes cook as long as possible.
Ugh. I had prodromal labor with my first for 3 weeks, and my second for 6!!! They were timeable and uncomfortable...sometimes painful and it was SO frustrating. The good news was quick labors! 🙌🏻 My question is-when will you find out if they are identical or fraternal? Birth?
I went through the same thing with my insurance, they coded something wrong, I called the place and told them and even gave them the correct code for them to use, and they would get paid it took from October until March for them to do it. I finally told them don't send me another bill because someone on their end can't do their job. And it finally got paid in March. So I feel your pain. Hopefully babies will be here soon. With covid 19, how do you guys plan to keep the little ones safe and will they allow you to have daddy in the room. This has been an issue in other states and countries. I had contractions through both my twin pregnancies. Drs weren't concerned because it wasn't changing my cervix. I carried my bigs till 36.2 & my littles till 37.6. I just had an overactive uterus. The spinal for the csection was the first true relief I had after months of contractions, it was amazing lol
I had an irritable uterus with all my three babies / pregnancies,,, so so many endless Braxton Hicks contractions,,,, which just get stronger through the pregnancy. I didn’t have to do much at all to get them .....wishing you well Rachelle, Hope ur ok 👍

I hated dealing with that when I was pregnant and did a 12 week hospital stay during my last pregnancy plus 4 extra weeks after delivery 😪 and now with my oldest(13yrs old) trying to get get her into this inpatient clinic for eating disorder, is stressful and horrible!!
As someone with a chronic disease, I know exactly what your talking about with insurance. I can feel my blood pressure rising and my blood sugar goes waaaaay up. Unfortunately, I don’t think healthcare will ever change for the better. Hang in there!

I am also so grateful for our socialised medicine in Australia. Our daughters were both born in America. Our youngest, Emma, was a premature. She was born 22 years ago in Hawaii and our hospital bill was $73,000! Would never happen in Australia. Good luck xx
Does Emma have a pop up play tent? I had one when I was a kid that me and my sisters loved! I figured since she liked the blanket fort so much she might like one.
Take magnesium topically! It seriously helps with contractions I feel Like I rub some magnesium oil (with another Lotions or body butter) before bed on legs and it helps a ton to sleep and have less contractions.... There are also magnesium Lotions
The FFN test looks for markers in the blood that could indicate a person's risk or liklihood of going into preterm labour. (I was an Ob-RN in Australia). If nothing else it gives everyone a heads up as to where you (or more exactly, the bubbies) are at, which in turn dictates your care plan. I had my twins 30 years ago (yup I am THAT OLD haha!!) ..... no fancy tests then .... I was so lucky mine came at 37weeks, vaginally even though baby b was breach. And we were taught 37 weeks is considered "term" for twins. Every DAY you can keep them inside, usually the better! All the best as your beautiful family grows!
You should move to Canada. No stress over hospital bills and insurance. High taxes compared to the states but I would take that any day over dealing with insurance companies. Best of luck girl !

First off I love you guys. You are amazing parents and people. For the Q and A... I live in Riverside California. We have been put on pretty strict limitations. With covid 19, how do you guys plan to keep the little ones safe and will they allow you to have daddy in the room. This has been an issue in other states and countries. I know you guys will do what it takes to protect them and Emma.

With the genders being a surprise they could still have names picked. Two boys and two girls and then have a boy and girl name picked.
I had contractions through both my twin pregnancies. Drs weren't concerned because it wasn't changing my cervix. I carried my bigs till 36.2 & my littles till 37.6. I just had an overactive uterus. The spinal for the csection was the first true relief I had after months of contractions, it was amazing lol

I had an irritable uterus with all my three babies / pregnancies,,, so so many endless Braxton Hicks contractions,,,, which just get stronger through the pregnancy. I didn’t have to do much at all to get them .....wishing you well Rachelle, Hope ur ok 👍
Have you gotten any recent updates on sweet baby B's heart. Keeping y'all in my prayers. My son is just 2ish months older than Emma. I love watching her grow alongside my little Sonny.

Ugh, I've had some hospital and insurance drama before over Bills... it's awful. Especially when you see the price tag attached to them. I dealt with that after I had my son.
Let it go. Be patient. It will take time. Been there done that. Follow up every two weeks if its regarding bills.

We’re at 480 cases in my state, 5 in my county. They said by the end of the week (Friday, April 3), it is projected that it will be over 900. Hope you guys are staying safe and healthy!

I wonder if there is anyone in their church or community who would let them borrow one since most people don’t have to go to anywhere soon and they will probably have doctors visits etc? That may be an issue with insurance but my family has traded cars for a few days at a time for trips/hauling
The dealership we just got my boyfriends car at is open but they won’t do anything for you if you’re not “essential” here.

Have your doctors talked to you about getting another round of Celestone??....and I hope everything gets solved with your insurance!! I hated dealing with that when I was pregnant and did a 12 week hospital stay during my last pregnancy plus 4 extra weeks after delivery 😪 and now with my oldest(13yrs old) trying to get get her into this inpatient clinic for eating disorder, is stressful and horrible!!
As someone with a chronic disease, I know exactly what your talking about with insurance. I can feel my blood pressure rising and my blood sugar goes waaaaay up. Unfortunately, I don’t think healthcare will ever change for the better. Hang in there!

I am also so grateful for our socialised medicine in Australia. Our daughters were both born in America. Our youngest, Emma, was a premature. She was born 22 years ago in Hawaii and our hospital bill was $73,000! Would never happen in Australia. Good luck xx

The FFN test looks for markers in the blood that could indicate a person's risk or liklihood of going into preterm labour. (I was an Ob-RN in Australia). If nothing else it gives everyone a heads up as to where you (or more exactly, the bubbies) are at, which in turn dictates your care plan.
I had my twins 30 years ago (yup I am THAT OLD haha!!) ..... no fancy tests then .... I was so lucky mine came at 37weeks, vaginally even though baby b was breach. And we were taught 37 weeks is considered "term" for twins. Every DAY you can keep them inside, usually the better! All the best as your beautiful family grows!
You should move to Canada. No stress over hospital bills and insurance. High taxes compared to the states but I would take that any day over dealing with insurance companies. Best of luck girl !
So glad I live in a country where I don't need health insurance. I've been to the hospital several times and never paid a cent. It doesn't cost me anything to see my GP either 🇦🇺

Try unplugging your refrigerator for a couple hours to unthaw. This is the biggest problem with ice makers and water outlets. Worth a try.
