Walking tour along Princesa street in the city of Madrid, Spain with captions. We will start at the Moncloa multimodal station, at Moncloa square, next to the Ciudad Universitaria, and we will go down along the relevant Princesa street discovering some of its relevant buildings, shops and the atmosphere that is lived, until reaching the new and renovated Plaza de España.
It is recommended to activate 4k playback and use headphones, for a better perception of the surrounding ambient sound. Also be sure to turn on closed captions [CC] to read comments and details of the walk!

08:09 Like hundreds of older buildings in Madrid that have survived speculation (from '60s to '90s) but have been stripped of some or all of their original decoration & ornament (most often because of architectural fads or the Civil War), that building lost all its original "Art-Nouveau" decoration on the facade because of a bomb that went off there in the Civil War. Then, that building was partially rebuilt, but without its original ornaments. I only mention this case, though there are many more buildings like that throughout the video.

Yes, Im sorry. Previously I have been adding subtitles in up to 49 different languages, but sometimes Google's automatic translator was giving errors, skipping sentences, putting words in other timelines, and not properly translating the meaning of some words. So to guarantee the quality of the subtitles and that they truly say what I want to say, without errors, this time there are subtitles in languages that I understand and that I can review (6 of the most widely spoken in the world, not bad). Unfortunately, I have not added subtitles either in Russian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc... and other languages in which I see some minority viewers, whom I thank for their visits to the channel and their attention.
