    "Higgledy piggledy" is now my favorite term. The leaves are gorgeous! Can't wait to try this myself for the holidays.

    This lesson was amazing! You're incredibly clever in your colour choices, & the end result shows your talent off. If you'd used black veiling & red stamens on the hat, the finished piece would not have had the feminine softness & elegance you gave it. Genius

    This is so interesting!! I had no idea how these were made, I assumed they were machine pressed. Off to search eBay for flower tools #favourite2023

    Hi, can you please make a video about how you made the hat you have on in this video?

  • @BrandiPratt-vm8pc
    @BrandiPratt-vm8pc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you be willing to talk through all the blocks and their parts and how they work. Brims, crowns, flange, collar etc.

    When did you start making vintage hats?

    Love it w he chosen the same colours. Sorry but the "comb" in the harm where can I buy these? What are they called? And are these the kind you can slide in to your hair and then tighten it by bending it downwards? Like some hair extensions have. These stay put for ever until you bend them up and open. Thank you 😘

    • @ByIlonaMillinery
      @ByIlonaMillinery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The combs are just plain normal plastic combs - nothing as fancy as the ones used in hair extensions. If you search online for "hair comb slide" you'll be able to find them.

    Hi, can you please do a tutorial on the hat that you wore in this video?

    • @ByIlonaMillinery
      @ByIlonaMillinery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, the had I am wearing is an augmented pre-bought wool-felt base, so I can't show you how to make this specific one. If you wanted to achieve a similar effect, you could block some felt on a percher block, and make the velvet holly leaf hat pin that I show in this video 😊

    Beautiful! What it's the actual name of the double tip flower tool? I've been looking online and cannot find it anywhere. Thank you!

    • @ByIlonaMillinery
      @ByIlonaMillinery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Becky! Thank you so much! 😊Tt's called a "double sided knife tip" some times it's called a "veining tool" I bought mine in a set which didn't come with any instructions so unfortunately I don't know the official names of the brass tips.

    Nice leaves...I'd love to know if I can use those tool attachments with the sodering iron I have...I think I asked you before🤔everytime I see you use the tools I wonder..great video.

      Hi Abby, I completely forgot to mention this in the video, I'm so sorry! You need a 40w soldering iron that has a 6mm barrel. The only one I've found that fits this is in the UK a "weller SP40NUK". I'm not totally happy with it, as I would have preferred an iron with a variable temperature control, but it does work.

      @@ByIlonaMillinery I was not sure if I asked..I'll have to see what mine does and what watt..I've only used it 1 time , and it was already set up when I started....thats good to know though..I know mine comes with diffrent tips too..I'll do a bit of an experiment and see what I can do, and then see about ordering flower makers...im here in the US in NYC 🤗

    Gorgeous work! I'd like to start learning millinery, as I already make silk flowers and am craving something to put them on. Is it ok with you if I attempt a similar design to see if I enjoy hat making?

    • @ByIlonaMillinery
      @ByIlonaMillinery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sara, I really appreciate you asking this! ❤️ Of course you can make a similar design, as long as it is for your own personal use and not for sale. 😊 I have plenty of other hats you can try to make on my channel, I hope you find millinery fun and enjoyable

      Drusilla has proven herself to be indispensable. She gets an inflated wage paid in biscuits.
