Okay you may find this a bit funny. I make stockings for my kids still and they are in their thirties and forties. I carefully filled her stocking with things she liked and other things she didn't know she liked, I usually include kazoos, tattoos, and parachute soldiers. This is the year I couldn't find any parachute soldiers so I think I put in some rubber snakes. My youngest was 26 she looked at all her great things and asked me where is my parachute soldier?? I was looking forward to him! lol Just goes to show you never know what they deem as important. Until next time much love and many prayers. 💖💖

For some reason all this excessive gifting in stocking seems like just too much. What about taking some of the excess and instead spend of a needy family . Are they learning what charity is? I hope so.
Why don’t you get them each practical things that are individualized for their stockings since you’re spending the money anyway? Things like razors, mascara, nail polish, eyelash kits, hot wheels, etc. Like individual small things that each of them use regularly. My MIL does this and it’s my favorite part of of gift exchange on Christmas.
Yes..most of it was just trashy..cheap candy and toys which will probably just end up in the garbage!
Same. So many of those items are little kid toys and seems like it would be better to get items that are different not the same for them all.

That’s exactly it , if it puts a smile on your face why not when I first got married my husband and I always did a stocking , we carried on for years then one year we stopped and haven’t done it for years , las year we were going to start it but didn’t nor this year we have had such a lot going on right up to Christmas 😟 but I am going to see that we start it again next year while our grandchildren are still young . We always put an orange and nuts in the toe and then filled it with things we would love and silly things to make us smilexxxx
We do stockings even tho we don't have a Fireplace. Fireplaces r NOT NEEDED in NOLA

Why buy so much Temu trash for your kids? Unnecessary plastic things they throw away in minutes.

Whenever I get socks from my mom for Christmas I actually still have people but I’m actually not. I don’t need socks or underwear or clothes but I love sweaters and I want T-shirts but not in pants.

I found those Christmas tissues one year when I was travelling in England, I had not seen them in Australia so I bought heaps. When I got back to Australia bundled them up and gave them to a friend who is in. Nursing home. She loved them and immediately started offering her friends a festive tissue made everyone smile.
The ornaments are so heartwarming. What a simple, but memorable commemoration of their lives!

LOL I did the same thing with the popcorn from my son’s popcorn sales. I got the big box of individual badges and a couple of the microwave ones as well. If it didn’t go twds my son, I would have just ran into the store and grabbed a couple boxes from there for less than quadruple the price 🤣🤣🤣 great stocking stuffers :)

I'm going to fill my own stocking for my self lol I'm too old for receiving one but I love how is common in the US to do it with little toys and candy 😂 I'm going to fill mine with fidgets
do it! I am in my thirties and still shop for my stocking! my husband also enjoys shopping for small things that are meaningful then we sneak in a fewer extra items for each other (near the end of December) as a real surprise 🎉😂

I find that the wine bottle gift bags are perfect for socks!
Have you ever tried done elf on the shelf with your younger kids😊 it's a fun activity for your younger kids maybe even your holder kids would enjoy it
to make the ornaments last longer on the gift tag you could take the ribbon off and laminate them and theb use a hole punch to re attach the ribbon
On the picture that you glued to the back of the gift tag you put the year but another good idea is to add how old they are 👍🏼 that way you don’t have to figure out their age . And it’s easy for the kids to look back and see how old they were in 2023 👍🏼 it’s just an idea
Or they can just calculate it like most people do

We are in the uk so we have what we call the pound shops,mine get everything that i know they will use ,girls get stuff like hair ties,hair brush,socks, nail polish face wipes,shower gels and of course a selection of sweets(candy) Boys get stuff like hair gel,shower gel,socks,deodrants playing cards,ky rings plus a selection of sweets(candy)obviously if they are younger i go for things like pencils, crayons,slime,hair bows,socks,little coin purses,pound shop toys however i never spend more than £10 -£12 on their stocking fillers

I was thinking if you bought the rectangle laundry baskets from the Walmart and write their names on the paper and tape it to the basket and put it on your couch then they have a space for all of their small stuff and clothes and then get your self a small plastic holder and put batteries something to open the stuff and trash bags to throw the wrapping paper away so then clean up time is way easy for you

Love all the stocking stuffers! Don’t forget to take the batteries out of dayshawns ornament before storing it for the year. Battery acid leaks after a while. Would hate for the ornament to get ruined.
