Seriously, why aren't her publishers rereleasing the first in hardcover. Take our money!!! I'm currently reading An Impossible Imposter and curse the publishers every time I pick her books up. 😂
💰 I feel like there’s a business opportunity here Katie! Would love to see you develop a tool this sort of over the top annotating. Like sets of taps and highlighters that come with a ready made key, a better ruler that doesn’t smudge or has a built in wiper, an application tool for the tabs and spacing them… I feel like there’s something there girly 😉
How does spending so much time annotating and sticking a thousands tabs in a book not take someone out of reading it, especially fiction on the first read? At some point, whatever was "important" enough damage the book via annotating is lost among the sea of stickies, never to be revisited or bring future value. Even in the video, a majority of some of those pages are highlighted/underlined/whatever. How do you narrow down what was truly important if entire pages are highlighted? Seems like such an ultimately meaningless, pretentious, show-off type of activity. It's got the same vibe as someone recording a concert with their cell phone. You don't take notes during a movie, why here? "I'll come back to this later and it'll be awesome." No, you won't and no, it won't. I hope people don't try to sell or give away these book, I would certainly be pissed if I bought a used book and it had someone else's handiwork scribbled all over the pages. I don't want my first impression of a book being muddied by some random reader's thoughts. Maybe my monkey brain is too underdeveloped to understand such an important concept. Why ruin my immersion in the world I'm reading to damage my books with little-to-no future value?
Different strokes for different folks. Some people absolutely do NOT want to be interrupted by anything when reading. Others find stopping to respond/tab/annotate adds to the experience.
It helps me to process the information when I write or underline certain things. But I don’t go as far as creating a tabbing system (they run out too easily, but I’m still trying to see how I can incorporate some tabbing) How do you go about recording information you want to remember in your reading? Just curious because I’m still in between writing and not writing in my books

I definitely tab in a more utility way, like when I'm buddy reading or trying to remember discussion topics for a vlog. I loooove seeing other peoples' aesthetic tabbing, but it definitely doesn't work with my own way of reading haha

I just listen to the videos because I can't deal with the hectic gestures and facial expressions. Love that you talk fast! 😂 Ayyy no face cam during annotation. 🎉 The system is ELABORATE and I refuse to get sucked into doing this because I don't even spend so much time on my studies. 😂 I'd rather annotate my books tho.
I also have ocd, which can be "very interesting" when my adhd is trying to nudge it out of the way. One thing i have problems with is my books have got to be as pristine as possible, even after read countless times. Oops, its ocd with rituals.❤

Omg the chaos 😂 I don't do the arrangement of tabs like you did but oh god... I use a ruler and I check so many times that they're all out just enough and of same size😂😂 but I do randomly try to add distance in tab so they don't look clustered... God I had my own OCD moment watching you and loved it 🦋 Also I've never heard of these series but now I'll definitely read them!

There is a secret third reason for annotating: I think I am very funny and whatever pops into my head gets popped onto the page. (i have adhd)

Do you have a centering ruler? The zero is in the middle. It’s the best thing EVER!

I use the ruler part that the tabs come on and it works without having to stop and clean it everytime
