🖋️I think this is my new favorite “how to annotate” video!! I love your organized technique, I started doing something similar with my Dorian Gray reread and I’m still trying to decide if I enjoy it or not 😂 but yours are so beautiful!!! ❤
This is an excellent annotation video. I have been watching dozens of annotation videos to help me start annotating, and this is the best one yet. I really like how you presented your information, and I liked your style and methods. I'm a perfectionist with my books, but I read so many high fantasy and series with multiple books that I need to start annotating so I can keep everything organized in my head. Your methods will fit me perfectly. I made notes and saved your video. I can't wait to get started using your levels of annotation and organized tabbing system. Thank you so much for your content.❣🖋
Not only did I stay til the end, I watched twice 😂 ✒️ I am so wanting to start annotating and I LOVE tabs and how they look. I am just stuck on how to know what to tab, like how to get started on that part. So then I get overwhelmed and don’t start. I guess I just need to try it,-but these versions that aren’t so focused on writing in your books really helped me out thank you so much!!
YAY thank you for watching! I am so happy this helped you!! I am working on creating another video where I specify WHAT I annotate so be on the lookout!
🖋️thank you, Mabel! Your system makes total sense and I am going to give it a try. I especially liked what you said about leaving a mark on our book as it leaves a mark on us. This year I have been re-reading those books on my shelf that I cannot part from. So nice to meet you, and looking forward to watch more of your videos. (Oh, your pens organized by graded colour…😍) greetings from the other side of the world, Valentina
I love your annotations style. It does make sense for the organized tabbing. I am just starting on my annotation journey. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and insight! 🖋️
12:44 I already watched your video 2-3 times but I had to watch it again because I love annotation videos and your voice is very soothing. I organized annotated a bunch of books since first watching your video and I honestly don't think I can go back to regular annotation!! My books look sooooo pretty!!😍 Big bookish hugs from Canada!!🤗
🖋️ Thank you for sharing your annotations with us. The only annotations I ever done was underline or highlight my book or put a ripple piece of paper as a bookmark 😂🫣 I never done tab like yours before. Your is so beautiful tab😍. I going to go back to some of my favorite books and redo them with tab.😄
Wow! 😁 Your video popped up in my "recommendeds" section, and something told me to give your video a look-see. I am looking to get into two different types of journaling -- commonplace books, and annotations, and I can see the potential for the two styles to correspond and blend, even though the styles are somewhat different. So, naturally, videos about both types have been coming into my personal "algorithm." Your organization of all your supplies by color is Olympic-level, girl! 😅😁 If I had the space you have just for the organizer drawers, I would be in heaven!! 1-BR apartments and sh**-tons of creative energy don't always mix.
You're the best! These are really great tips and so satisfying to see the intense annotations lol. I'll give these a try and let you know how it ends up :)
It’s usually similar for each genre but can vary a bit depending on length or content. Thank you for the question I might elaborate on it in another video 🥰
Yes I learned this the hard way!! But books are not suppose to be place right on the back of the shelf they need some room to prevent rot and mold so I have been giving them some space and its helping keep my tabs intact
Maybe I missed it, but how do you determine the topics, like love and characters beforehand? Do you flip though the book or do you use the same themes for the same genres? Kisses from the Netherlands 🖋️❤
Great question! Usually I select based on genre, but lately it also depends on what I’m interested in tracking at that moment. I was going to include this portion in the video but it changes so often! The major ones I stick to most of the time are love, sad, key/important, plot development, quotes, and mad/triggers.
I watched this 3 times just so that I could take notes. Love your methods...makes perfect sense. 🖋
this makes me so happy! Thank you!
Wowowow. You need to be given a phd in annotating. This is phenomenal. Thank you for making this.
AWW thank you so much!! :)

🖊️I love your style of teaching. I’m very new to this and you’re motivating me. Thank you 🙏🏾 so very much!!!
You’re welcome!! Thank you for letting me know it’s helpful to you that makes me so so happy ☺️🥰
How do you choose your subjects for each tab? Do you use the same annotation key for certain book genres? 🙏🏻
It’s usually similar for each genre but can vary a bit depending on length or content. Thank you for the question I might elaborate on it in another video 🥰
If ur books are tabbed, can u no longer have ur books touching the wall of a shelf or else the tabs would get smushed?
Yes I learned this the hard way!! But books are not suppose to be place right on the back of the shelf they need some room to prevent rot and mold so I have been giving them some space and its helping keep my tabs intact
🖋️🖋️ thank you for some examples of text for your annotations!
Love this video. I been looking a new wag to annotate my books .😊🖋️

I know this is old but could you please do a flip through of Priory of the Orange Tree?
Now it all falls into place and makes sense. Thank you, and I have subscribed. 🖊️
YAY!! Thank you so much!
✒️thanks for the tips. I’ve been struggling finding highlights that don’t bleed. I’ll give these a try. 🖋️
Yes, you are welcome! The light highlighters in the description are the best to avoid the bleeding!
🖋️ Very helpful nice video!

🖊️ yay!!!

I love the organized tabbing look but I also like to add tabs on re-reads and I feel like it would ruin the effect
Yeah I see what you mean.. it would be a lot of work to redo the whole book too
🖋🖊
Just wondering where you got your acrylic drawers for your page tabs?
It was one of those marshall's finds! The other one (smaller) I got from amazon a few years ago

I will definitely have a follow-up to this video!
