I've had my pd1651 for over a year now, and although it's not accurate (crappy nh35) or well made (awful bezel mechanism, terrible indices alignment, dreadful lume) I still really like it - after a LOT of sanding down those REALLY sharp edges on the clasp. It just 'feels right' when worn and still looks pretty classy, it's not bad for the money, though I do prefer my Addiesdive MY-H3 as it's just better in every aspect (except the strap), yet cost almost HALF the price..
I think a lot of people don't realize the YM isn't just a Sub with a different bezel. much more elegant case, AND a bi-Directional bezel which the parnis also has, that the pagani doesn't
Thanks for the review! I bought some PD's when they became a thing a few years ago. Then the QC issues increasing bugged me. I'm hoping they have turned a corner.
Very good review and like you I have both the Parnis and now the Pagani V2 Y-Master. Having worn both IMHO the Pagani is the one I prefer to wear by far. In terms of the case comparison you make a great point in the Parnis selected the right case however the temperature of the polished rose gold on the Parnis is just too bling for my taste. My Parnis used the Miyota 21 jewel non-haking movement and the awful crown usability of the Parnis gave me a huge case of buyers remorse. Add to that the Parnis movement broke within one month of use. The Pagani with the brushed and polished Rose gold hue or temperature is much more suited to my taste and by Pagani using the Maxi-case it does give the watch a little more machismo or presence on the wrist while still exuding the elegance of the original Y-Master. Last points on the usability and reliability of the NH35a Pagani is the way to go if making a choice today.
Actually it's better than I thought. The silicon strap is a nice surprise. I agree with you about the case, I prefer the one on the Parnis. Thanks for the review, Steve.
I'm not usually a fan of this colour case finish, but with the black, it works. Looked really good on the black and gold nato too. Got a steel version on the way. Think I prefer the case of the Parnis but the finish of the pagani. Great job with the review.
thanks, wes. I agree about the gold...not my thing, at all...but I LOVE the black and gold for some reason. looking forward to your thoughts on the steel version.
the only rose gold watch I have....in my 35 watch collection... I love Pagani and Addies... perfect watch, perfect strap... but I changed it for a nato.... looks great... from Spain
Excellent review man🔥💪 I wonder why is it so hard for them to use bgw9 lume considering how steeldive can do it. Lume has always been a prob for pagani and they're not even colour matched on this one. I wonder how long until that rose gold coating will wear off
I can't keep track of official websites, i cNt imagine they can compete with the AliExpress 11.11 sales prices. Under $80 currently from the link in the video description. If you are in the US, and want the watch from the review, I'll even beat that price. Email me at escape.wheelwr@gmail.com
I'll have to dig in there...it won't be a direct swap unless I'm really lucky. movement holders are different (Parnis uses metal tabs, pagani uses plastic spacer) possible position of the crown tube (height on case) and an obvious switch of the crowns from the parnis to the pagani stem. and then who knows if it'll acutally close and not interfere with the rotor movement.
Alright, I think one of the biggest issues with a lot reviews is that a lot of emphasis is often placed talking about the watch on their wrist in terms of size. I think this is totally redundant. What makes these watches fall in the luxury bracket is in fact their size. They're not shoes to talk about gaps and corners and tight fits. It's simple man... 'Beauty is pain.'
Do my holes distract you 😉 Definitely need to bring out a new pair...would not get these again. I need to invest in a NICE pair I can throw in the wash.
Sorry, but you're moving the watch a lot. It feels like you're trying to show me something while moving. Please less movement and more gentle. Its a watch, not a hammer. Treat it like an instrument that it is, it's not tool from your dad's tool shed. Cheers.
Probably my new favourite Pagani...Will be made my new Golf watch
Man, if I got out and golfed more, I'd have to make an excuse for a nice golf watch 🤔🤔
eye candy of a watch. I had one golden Pagani that I was beating up working in a garage, the coating holds up surprisingly well.
Well that's good to know!
I finally bought mine! I’ve been eyeing it for a year now. Very beautiful watch. Very well built, I’m loving it
Thanks for the review. I am a fan of PD. You get a lot of watch for the money. Especially if you get it during the sales and with coupons.
Indeed...crazy specs for the cash

thats great to hear they hold up so well. thanks for sharing.
I got NH35 in a SteelDive and works fine, very accurate
The last 6 mos ive bought 4 of the NH35 pagani's, accurate, very nice presentations.
The comparison with the Parnis case was very interesting 👍

they have definitly gotten better over the past year or so. still not out of the woods, but much much better than before.

well put, Phil. I prefer the Parnis case, but everything else of the Pagani
Actually it's better than I thought. The silicon strap is a nice surprise.
I agree with you about the case, I prefer the one on the Parnis.
Thanks for the review, Steve.
Thanks for watching Jonathan. that strap is really nice. I'll be using it on other watches now...lol

Thanks for the review. Is the strap FKM or silicon rubber?
Felt like FKM to me but not 100 % sure
I have this watch in stainless steel and I love it. The only short fall it has is lume. Like always with PD.
Indeed.
the only rose gold watch I have....in my 35 watch collection... I love Pagani and Addies...
perfect watch, perfect strap... but I changed it for a nato.... looks great...
from Spain
Thanks again for your excellent reviews my friend, I'm probably going to buy this watch now lol
thanks for watching! if you decide to get it, I hope you enjoy it!
Excellent review man🔥💪

Thank you! Not sure why no BG lume....they need to start adding it.
As for the coating, I've heard others say it's held up really well
12.5mm for an NH35 movement, that’s decent. In fact it’s a pretty nice watch!
Any idea when the NH34 homages arrive going to come to market?
I gotta think pretty soon...Larimoker has an explorer II with the NH34....so they are coming...my body is ready
a cuestion, the gold fall with use
bought mine 2 days ago for $50 plus tax, waiting for it to arrive
There's one real issue with Pagani Design watches - there is NO OPTION to buy an original black rubber strap with a rose gold buckle.
This is a nice watch. I wish it had just the logo and not the text "Pagani Design" like some of the other recent releases.
yeah I wonder why they didn't do that on V2?
the numbers on the bezel did they stick it with glue or?
No, it's all one piece engraved from a slightly thicker ceramic ring. 👍
@@EscapeWheel titanium not ceramic
If a buy this watch should I do it from their website? Because I know it's coming all the way from China

This watch deserves a black dive rubber strap or lhe steel bracelet. Nothing less.
Seems like a pretty easy mod job to swap the movement and dial from the PD to the case of the Parnis, no? The strap on the PD also looks much nicer.
Will you review the San Martin Ranger SN0107? :)
Yes, as soon as it gets here...it's been "departing provider facility" for a week now....it's taking forever and it's killing me....lol
@@EscapeWheel Wihoooo cant wait :) Im itching to get the non logo version of it, im all about that case finishing, domed crystal..
Imagine if they could perfect the 2.5 date magnifier it always looks like you've been drinking since high noon
Lol.
Flat side case and standard buckle are both deal breakers for a Yachtmaster homage.
Sold!
Muito lindo esse relógio 40mm é show 👏👏
Thank you, yes, it's very good looking. Than you for watching!
Nice review, not really my style but still enjoyed the info!
Thanks for watching anyway 😂.

I get asked every video "how big is your wrist" so then I put that in my videos....and now this. I can't please everyone.
Nice
İt must have black glossy dial lıke rootbeer
So many watches
who me? ...lol the perks of being a watch reviewer I guess.
They're like rabbits. Leave two of them alone together and before you know it you have a dozen or so.
Looks like you’re needing some new white gloves. Looking kind of hole-y haha.
Do my holes distract you 😉
Definitely need to bring out a new pair...would not get these again. I need to invest in a NICE pair I can throw in the wash.
If it only had a deployment strap...
I've bought one and the watch looks superb.
May I ask were you got the strap from?
I like Parnis better. 👌
i absolutely prefer the case of the parnis, but everything else the pagani is much better.
Sorry, but you're moving the watch a lot. It feels like you're trying to show me something while moving. Please less movement and more gentle. Its a watch, not a hammer. Treat it like an instrument that it is, it's not tool from your dad's tool shed.

lol, When was I treating it like a hammer....and many people, me included, would argue that watches ARE tools...you don't need to baby them.
just received this watch, oh man, horrible quality...
