Andriy Passage you shouldn't be walking around with that mentality my dear. "if a girl can do it.." that can get you in some trouble, remember that we are all equal. nevertheless good luck.

I watched this vid is desperation a couple weeks ago, so thought I’d post for those who might be in a similar situation now..
Those with more modern phones that are soldered together, I have a samsung A70 and it fell in the toilet, and the touch screen stopped working. Left it off for 24 hrs in rice after drying and turned back on and still wasn’t working. Next I got some silica gel packets and taped them over the buttons and ports (main places water could get in) and put in a sealed plastic bag with a few more packets and left it off for a week, and it now works perfectly! No issues at all, good as new. Key is patience, keep that phone off for as long as possible, and silica gel packets (the ones you’d find in a new bag pocket) absorb moisture better than rice... don’t lose hope it may well come back to life like mine did.

Hello. I really enjoyed watching your educational video. I'm just a little afraid of messing up something on the inside. I dropped my phone in a pot of water a week and a half ago. i removed the battery and dried the battery and the phone using a towel and then sat it in front if the heating vent. I then put the battery in (probably a mistake) and tried to turn it on but it wouldn't. Two days later I put it in rice where it's been ever since. Is it too late to try your method? You made it seem so easy but I I hope I don't touch something I'm not supposed to. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I put my phone in a zip lock and sucked all the air out of the bag with a vacuum cleaner attachment as suggested in other TH-cam videos. I did this several times 5 min at a time focusing on the corners of my Galaxy S5 screen. Touchscreen still didn’t respond. Then I applied low power hair dryer heat on the phone for about 5-10 min. (I didn’t think it was going to work so I didn’t keep track). During the last minute or so with the heat on I put the phone back in the bag and sucked out the air again while the hair dryer was applying low heat. I let the phone cool down for second, put the battery back in, powered up and it worked!!!

Nice Video, as always. I have a TV Question. I bought a Hisense 46k360m, used. I have horiontal lines through picture, not noticed on black or white images. Shows up on blue standby screen. so it's not input cables. I pulled back off lookin for buldging caps, or anything unusual. Reseated T-CON cable ribons to LCD. camera batteries dead (No Picture) could it be interference? or is it a bad t-con board?

I have something odd with my note 4 . It had a water damage and the black screen issue. The thing is when the phone is warm- i put it in a oven for a while it works perfect for a while but than turns to blackscreen again.
So i repeat the cycle and it works for a while again? Do you know whats up ? i shy away from opening the wohle thing up.

used to work at a phone repair shop you want isopropyl alcohol, aha, the only thing i can fault on this video, is maybe take the phone apart and clean it before you try power it up as some components only take like 1 volt or .5 volts lol and the 3.7v battery shorted to those components could blow them up, otherwise great video. btw this should work on laptops too, but again if the pcb is wet dont try turn it on lol, great vid tampa, you the shiz

My cous drop his Samsung Galaxy S5 in water. He didnt know much and i was informed quite later by him about what happened.
this what he did already, he took the battery out and let the phone dry under fan for few hours both the batter and the phone, and he then put the battery back in and turn it on. IT did worked but touch screen was the issue.
He then took to the local shop and they did cleaned the phone and the touch screen started to work again, but not all of the touch button worked.
So can u suggest me what should i do as now im asked him to send it to me first.
And he lived in different city, should i try local shops here too or any other suggestion

My friend dropped my camcorder in the lake last summer and I did the rice thing, and put it in an oven (on warm) for two days. Didn't think. Maybe I could have filled it up with rubbing alcohol to absorb the water....anyway, its long dead.

any electronic equipment if exposed/dropped in Water, just make a light air pressure dry (remove battery ,donot open any parts, lid, back). and then Put same equipment in Steel Box open from top only and in Direct SunLight. you can keep Glass lid(but have to remove it frequently). @evening you take inside house in kitchen
On next morning repeat same. untill 4 days or you find that device is now complete dry.
If your timezone/city does not have enough sun-warmth then just keep in nest of of set of old filament bulb which releases high amount of heat. approx. 3-4 bulbs in circular series will do the work . ! It's an Old Tried & Tested formula in India

      WRONG!
Rice is a desiccant, like silica gel. It removes moisture from the air and surroundings by absorbing it.
Please do not spout 'facts' you know nothing about except you saw some random persons post on facebook saying it did not work after the dropped their phone of the golden gate bridge, fell 200ft was smashed and it was not fixed with rice.

I have a samsung galaxy express 3 cell phone that fell in water. The phone works, I can receive calls and text messages but the problem is that the screen is black. What can I do to fix my cell phone? Also can't take phone apart, no screws in this cell phone that I can see.
