For Australia to lose all these beautiful homes (that future generations would have appreciated) so traffic can move 2 minutes faster is truly a crime.
What a beautiful old house! I can’t believe this gorgeous old girl will be demolished too! This hurt’s my little heart! Awesome video as always mate! Happy New Year 🎈🎆🎊!
G'day Paul. Compulsory government acquisition=CRIMINAL. OK for those unaffected...Thanks for another thoughtful doco, mate! There is a homeless person sleeps in the car park at Glenelg who might like one of those old bed frames...👍
These beautiful homes don’t deserve to be lost forever for a tunnel. Governments don’t care about beauty they just like ugliness. Such a shame that future generations can’t enjoy these beautiful homes. Love it inside and out. Thank you for the tour. ❤😊🌟x
Grolsch is a Dutch beer, pretty decent beer and the bottles have the bail type lids that are resealable, so home brewers like to keep them to put their beer in. So sad all those beautiful homes being destroyed for a tunnel. Good thing you are documenting them before they are lost! Thanks for sharing!!
I bet everyone liked the first home better, I did, for one thing it's fireplaces weren't converted or covered over. They were obviously used as originally intended. The second one makes me wonder it it had any kind of public use. That greatroom in the back had me thinking it could have been used for a daycare operation because of the house shaped blackboard. Thanks for the tours Paul! Stayin tuned! 👍🤠 🇺🇸
Agreed, John - "The second one makes me wonder it it had any kind of public use. That greatroom in the back had me thinking it could have been used for a daycare operation because of the house shaped blackboard." Ken
Thanks Paul. It's so sad to see these homes go but it is great that you have documented them. Thanks for all your uploads. I look forward to watching your explores every week.
Thanks my friend for sharing this video with me i really enjoyed it paul i really enjoy your channel and i always will give you a thumbs up and shared you out on my community tab my friend and God Bless.
It's another nice Saturday afternoon here with more abandoned houses that have since been demolished for the tunnel as always they are both great looking houses have a wonderful upcoming New Year in 2025 and until next week which will be the new year take care and thank you.🏚️🎉🇦🇺🎉🏚️
Hello Paul, Thank you for sharing this last year of videos with us. Again, like everyone else, seeing these homes demolish for a road tunnel is not what we like to see happening to the history of these homes. Yes, some have stood the test of time better than others, but they all belong to families that love them. Thank you for the end of this years videos, as we welcome another new year of new but old homes that we hate to see the history gone by as if they never were here. History lost but not forgotten because of you. Paul, Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful year ahead, full of all things that you enjoy in life that make you happy. One last question: Have you ever thought to write a book or two on these homes lost because of the tunnel and be on, it is your history, and you do have photos to pass on to the younger generation. The out back to in towns. Think about it 🤔. Your friend from Las Vegas, Nevada 🇺🇸 Cheers 🥂🍻🥳
If my reseach is correct the original bathroom most likely had the shower and metal Clawfoot bath tube combo originally before being modernised with the art deco style floor tiles that was typically commen for houses built between that time period. A special thank you for sharing this wonderful video and documenting this beautiful treasurer before it's lost for ever from progress.
love both homes, 2 nd one was interesting it looked like classic old home from the front but a truly Modern Milly from the back. must of had open kitchen floor plan..
Hi Paul, those 2 houses are a bit of a let down, lately youve shown some beautiful renovated homes. We can't stop progress we definitely need that tunnel.cheers I hope you're enjoying a break over Christmas and the new year, bye now Jenny 😊
G'day, hope you had a wonderful Christmas, sadly the waste of historical homes really gets me, l know in City's progress never stops but at what cost, will it be that you have to drive in the Country areas to see historical building left as intended, sorry about the rant, thanks for all work and videos you produced in the past year, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
House one.... where did the refrigerator go? Surely there must have been one. There was no room in that walk-in closet size kitchen. The door on that little toilet room would be less awkward with the hinges on the other side. House two must have been a delightful house to grow up in. It seems designed to spark the imagination of children and teens.
I'm not 100% sure but I think the house across my street may have been moved out of, not sure though, all I know is that I'm wondering what the going to do with it, hope they don't tear it down, none of the houses on my street have been torn down yet. (The houses on my street are from the 60s)

I just opened the computer and there you are! 😃
It makes me sad that these beautiful homes are gone.
Especially when there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. 😢

It makes me sad to c homes like these ones they all have character and grace they all have a a warm feel to them 😢😢😢
Looks like the 2nd house was through a renovation. So sad these lovely old homes are being demolished for a tunnel.

I think the back extention was a kitchen area that has been ripped out. I would say the cupboards in the hall was the kitchen cupboards/
Thats a damn shame. Beautiful.

I think those cupboards in the hallway are from the kitchen that was in the big room at the back for open plan area.
Wishing you the best for 2025 😊

Got in a little late on these two beauties. Tornadoes took out the electric. Twenty hours later back on track.
Thanks, Paul. If I commented, I'd be repeating my comments to previous videos!

Houses pulling down for cars and shorting of homes sad😢 😢
Hi Paul, so sad to see a couple old homes going to be demolished. Keep up the good work Paul. Have a happy new year. Cheers deb 😊

This is just wrong...tearing all these places down
It is a disgrace ☹️
Why didn't you close the door??
What a waste of well built homes. That will be replaced by cheaper materials and won't last or stand as long as these homes. 🤬🇺🇸
