I picked one of these up just under two months ago and absolutely love it. I'm 5'1 so its a perfect fit for me and I can flat foot it. Does well in town, on the motorway and out in the countryside.
Had the Rebel 500 S for 12 months now as a second bike, im 5 ft 7 so fits well for me. Took some getting used to at the start but quickly adjusted to this riding position.Less is more for me as a rider, its about how the bike looks and rides without all the tech. The rebel is a great bike and just makes me smile, ride most days as a commute or short bimbles on my local roads in north wales and keeps my cb1100rs for long sunny rides
I had a Rebel 500 for three years. It's a fantastic bike and I had a lot of fun with it. I made a couple of long trips, even on some gravel and forest roads. It's a really good bike for learning how to ride. It is true that there isn't much leg space for taller riders. I'm 181 cm and after many hours riding it felt a bit cramped, but still it's doable to make long trips. Last spring I changed it for a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 because I re-discovered off roading😊
I loved my Rebel. 5 foot 4 with a 27 inch inside leg. I put on a lot of accessories h/grips, crash bars, rear rack in place of seat pad, panniers. Bar risers, was most comfortable. I sold it for an Accessory laid MT07. Now I have my original problem! Tippy tip toes.😂, think I will get it lowered this coming year. If I can’t adjust, I will have no problem getting another Rebel 500. The 1100 I feel is just too bulky and heavy, to get it, in and out of garage etc. Honda……do a 750 please.😊
@@TheClassicMotorcycleChannel damn.. Though you were about 6'4 looking at the size of the bike. I'm 5'10 and was looking at this for a first ever bike but think the vulcan might be a better fit.
If I walk into a Honda dealership, maybe thinking that there might be a model I might want to buy, I always walk out again quite quickly. They might be good bikes but the styling is either ugly or bland - maybe even both! They don't do anything for me I'm afraid.
I managed to ride for 40 odd years without owning a Honda. Rode a few but they didn't do much for me. They just work too well and don't enliven the senses. Then old age krept up on me. My Speed Triple is a handful now. So about two years ago I bought a Honda VT 750. Boring as all hell. But it has just enough power. Not too heavy. Comfortably low. And I can ride the tank out in relative comfort. It does what it says on the tin, it's a Honda. Don't like the look of the Rebel. The 500 is too small. And the 1100 is too big. 750's for me were always a Goldilocks size. But no longer popular.
Honda has the habit the past 10 years of having a rather ugly fuel tank and frame transition area. All them square inches of visible frame just sticks out like a sore thumb., and all the different models do this as they use the same engine cradle framework.
You might have told your viewers how tall you are, and inseam measurement so we'd have some idea what you mean by too small...
Yeah, you're right, I'm 6'1 with long arms and legs

This will be my first bike for the next summer 😁

What's the highest max lift of its ground clearance if you raise it
is the handle 28 mm or22 mm on the handle bar raisers ???
I love the look and style, but I'm a six footer, I would need therapy after riding that for more than an hour.
im about 6'1 recon itll be to small for me? looking for this as a first road bike!
noice vid
Well I'm 6'1 and it was too small for me but go and sit on it and try it for yourself, that's just my opinion
@@tommy3536 I’m 188 cm and love my new CMX500. I don’t find it too small. The size is just right… feels very nimble and manageable
How tall are you?
6'1, should have said that in the video actually

I'd be interested in hearing what you think of the Kawsaki Eliminator 500.
Yes, this is an interesting bike in the is category too

@@aljo54 I think it looks really clean and minimalistic :/
It's is ugly, downright ugly, l am sure it's a good bike but the tank/headstock area is well wonky.
I just get the feeling in the dealerships that they aren't really interested, either the company or the salespeople.

Easy for me. I love bikes….. but never a cruiser style.
What's up with that huge yellow tag??? That takes away from the look of any British bikes there ....

Ah, the throaty *cough, hiss, tick-tick-tick* of a modern, soulless parallel twin 500.
it might be a soulless sewing machine but any machine will gain soul if you ride it enough
Nice video, but I think that the Rebels are so ugly they look like they have been crashed in too a wall 😂
Each to their own :)
what's wrong with you people?! It is gorgeous!
