    One of the problems black people have is , for the longest time, they BELIEVED IN THE HUSTLE. They believed the hustle was better than the 40 hour a week job. ( THEY WERE WRONG) The hustle worked for a minuscule few, the majority needed to work. Get that government pension and relax.

    • @BjtheLawyer_
      @BjtheLawyer_ หลายเดือนก่อน

      I work for government as well. Honestly, now that I have two retirement accounts, I almost see no purpose in saving unless it’s for a short term goal! Invest a portion of your income into a retirement account or some long term investment. That is what will work for average people! I just recently got a raise & put it all back into my second retirement account! By the end of this year I’ll be funding both retirement plans at the same time at the same amount! Then, next year I’ll probably open up a Roth. That’s 3 retirement plans! I’m trying to retire at 60 lol. Only work if I want to! 💯

      The reason it appears to be "too much" is because we're not prepared to win. We didn't and don't do the hard work to prepare EARLY in life- College, advanced degrees or high value skills- so we're at the whim of corporations and their mediocre leadership decisions. That's the position the guy in this video is in and he doesn't understand why, he just feels hopeless. So instead of trying to find solutions he vents on tiktok and says the world is ending. I suffered through the 2008 crisis just like Anton and subsequently paid off a 925k house on a 6 figure income. What that young man needs to realize is nobody told him what to like. There are items that certain people can afford and others can’t, that’s it. The items that people can’t afford are the most coveted and that is human nature. Yes, inflation is bad when you don’t own any appreciating assets, but it’s great when you do. Learn how to win the game and stop complaining about it.

    Facts. He caught the vapors. Life for men is a fight* particularly black boys/men. Especially if you didn't have the silver spoon of inheriting grandparents or relatives wealth in your throat, or parents who wisely invested in your future. In the late 1980's, 1990's and early 2000's the black community was told to embrace what you want, but was never actually told you must develop patience, discipline, fortitude and persistence to stay focus through life struggles as they come to achieve the outcomes you desire. Sadly, too many youth are in major debt before they're 30 years old-including student loan debt because they wanted everything now. The old saying goes like this ; "Never climb a mountain so that others can see you at the top. Rather, climb the mountain to see the world from different perspective from the knowledge and wisdom you gain from climbing the mountain". your life's path becomes clearer and choices are easier because of the experiences you endured. When you decide to stand still and complain, you never win!

In the 50s, 60s, & 70s most jobs were unionized, which is why most people were able to achieve the American Dream. Many of the labor unions were busted since the 80s, which is a big factor as to why wages haven't kept up with the price of living for most non-union jobs. We have to take that into consideration.

    Preach Anton!!!! Matter fact, we ain’t have TH-cam University back then. If I had all these Anton Daniels, and other financial literacy TH-camrs, I would’ve had a 10 year head start from where I am now.

    I remember back in 08 thru 12 on how hard it was to find a job. I was 20 and homeless at the time. I Joined the military later because it was no better options for me at that time. This next recession/depression is going to be 3xs as worse.

      Driponics What’s coming isn’t a recession/depression it will be the fall of the American dollar. Once the dollar falls you will have famine.

    I know what hearing a comment like that feels like. People wanting to assume you didnt work your ass off to get what you got because they see you living in luxury not knowing you got it out the mud. Not knowing you slept on the floor because you were too tired to take a shower but too dirty to sleep in your bed

    They think you can get the American dream without the 10 to 20 years of suffering and living minimal while still grinding. It just don’t work like that. 🤷🏾‍♂️

    My Dad was a music teacher; his side hustle was being a musician, those invisibile musicians in the pit when Gladys and the Pips, to name a few, were on stage.
    I work extra duties at my school (also a teacher), which translates into 11-12 hr days, and parties on the weekend don't exist.

      My father worked a lot of overtime, but it was because he wanted to, not because he had to.
