This also comes with a coiled cable that I am missing. How are you folks building your Zoom65 if you're getting one? If not, what are your thoughts on this board in the current market? Let us know in the comments!
Im loving all these high quality “entry” keyboards. With how close in value the zoo65, qk65, jris65 and zoom65, people can just go with which one they think looks/sound/feel better to them. And not have to worry about feeling that they missed out on a “better value” entry board.
Exactly! Its such an amazing time to be in the hobby. We also have the Monokei Standard and Tiger Lite/Tiger 80 in the TKL space. Akko and Keychron just dropped really nice budget 75%. I can't wait to see what comes in the way of true high quality 60%, 75%, and TKL in the near future within the budget space. Especially if QK drops a 75% or TKL. That will be a game changer.
Thanks for checking out the vid! The board looks and sounds amazing, honestly, but the stepping issue in the bottom case is a bit of a pickle. I feel like a stronger plate or maybe the flat surface of the brass internal weight might help level things out. If I decide to move forward (if I can find the parts) with that I will certainly post an update. Good luck on your Jris snag!
couple of questions, do you know if this supports regular durock screw in stabs? also unless i missed something did you bypass the standoffs that hold the plate and pcb together?
Screw in stabs will work, yes. And I did omit the standoffs to give a softer typing feel. I still need to rebuild it with them to see if it fixes the bulging issue under the center.
Yes, the PC plate is probably a contributor but unless your IK75 suddenly turned aluminum, lost 30% of its volume, and filled itself with foam I would chock it up to the audio equipment you're listening on vs the equipment and EQ used to record it. Sounds tests are never accurate. I only record them due do demand. Either way, I hope you're happy with your IK75. Its a nice board! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your insights!
There are lots of them out there. If you're asking if you can buy one of mine then you will need to join my Discord and see what's available in the Closet Cleanout channel.

I honestly wouldn’t even consider these as budget/entry keyboards, i think of the v1, akko, epomaker, gas67 as the budget/entry keyboards.

Popping popcorn!
Appreciate you pointing out some issues. I was considering this as an option if my fingers aren't ninja enough to get in on the Jris65 GB.

have you seen the atelier haven? looks so beautiful
side note: i don't have the time to watch this rn but i shall in a couple hours :)
I have not. Looks like a nice concept. Will check it out!
It sounds really similar to my ik75 build using akko match greens. it must be the pc plate.

this board does honestly seem a little bit finnicky from all the builds i've seen, but it does sound pretty good and looks pretty cool too imo
I agree. I just hope they can utilize feedback from this run to make some improvements for the next go.
can i buy a keyboard with rgb?

heh. Ron Burgundies.
zoo or zoom or qk65
All great boards and all similar sounding. Choose what features you want and design aesthetic and pick that one.
