We recommend a grout joint of only 0.5mm. Surface flatness of tiles is detrimental to achieve an installation that complies with Australian Standards in terms of lippage with such a small grout joint. Surface flatness for our tiles has a deviation of only +/- 0.3mm, which is one of the highest standards in the world. Always refer to manufacturers recommendations for the grout joint size as well as check with their “surface flatness” standards as part of their technical specifications.
