dang that one fast cavalier... they got so much potential, and this vid proved it.. i just hate when ppl talk crap about them when most of the time then never even drove one even in stock form.... what most ppl don't realize if you look at power to engine displacement wise, them 4 cyls are technically putting out more power than alot of V8s..
Been behind the wheel of a Cavalier, driven it…it lacks, sorry. Cavaliers are the “official” cars to buy from Autopact in my location. And that’s not a good thing either. Cavaliers are crap. Yes, modded ones can be made good, but from a stock form…it’s too lacklustre.
@eidairman1 Theres no way that a stock Z28 or SS is gonna run low elevens. Definetly not a stock camaro. That little Cavi was fast as hell. If I were take a guess, then Id say its pushing 400+ at the wheels.
Cavaliers don't need to change blocks like most cars and throw rods. I have a fully built cavy and building a ls camaro. Rear end is around 3k, trans 2,500-6k, engine 3k to 10k or more and a turbo kit can cost over 3k depending kit and if you go name brand. Fuel system will cost nearly 1k and depending if you can do must of the work and installing and tuning.

Z24 can be quick if you can drive and get better tires. Killed alot of Honda's, gsr, and neons. Killed a eclipse and a mustang on the open road.
I love my 99 cavalier. Not horrible to work on, despite 25 years and 300k miles it can move when I tell it to.

Being a 99 it's either a base model single cam 2.2 or a 2.4 dual cam. The blue cavy is a 2.2 ecotec engine
