    ~
MotorInc First is a discussion between experts Kartikeya Singhee and Shumi (Shubhabrata Marmar), co-founders of MotorInc on new vehicles. Each episode will discuss one vehicle in great detail, covering the experience of driving or riding it, as well as what it means for the industry.

But i watched many review videos and each one has concluded that it has fair level of linear acceleration, with vibrations at high rpms ... it lacks top end performance and has less top speed so may be just ok in city ...considering 300 cc the power figures are also very low

Ok look, Japanese brands are surprisingly weird. I had FZS for 4 years, loved it never crashed it and it was 200% solid on any turn thanks to the rear fat tyre. The moment I decided to go for Fz25, it was discontinued.
Same for Honda, they could've introduced CB250R but they haven't. 300F and 300R are reliable but they don't hit any bar to top in any of expertise area, fast, solid, comfortable, they are hitting each but not any one with 100%

The CB300R was the one bike that when I got it out onto the road I instantly went WOW and I had a smile on my face throughout the ride. It was the only bike that had such an immediate and powerful impression on my from the ones that I rode. It was so responsive and manouverable, loved it

Got my 300r 4 days before and clocked 350 kms on it.
    The things I noticed
    Pros
    1. Engine is Smooth.
    2. Good control over vehicle.
    3. Suspension
    Cons.
    1. Brakes dont have that much bite.
    2. Seats are not comfortable. I found pillion seat is not getting locked properly and having some movement.
    3. Quality issues (fibre grab rails tends to vibrate a lot and the lock automatically opened, brake light bolts came loose and created buzzy noise)

I am riding my cb300r for one year. It's engine is smoothest in its segments. Looks more premiums than viby speed 400 . only downside was its pricy. But Honda corrected it. Quite surprised that he does't take test drive yet ,but he tries to give opinion about 300R on the basis of some journalist opinion.what a joke.. Actually they are fond of viby speed 400, himi 450, ktms . CB300 R is purely street urban bike. Its so nimble in city traffic. No heating issue in city traffic.

CB300R is really a gem 💎 and a jack of all trades. You can use it like a regular calm going commuter or rev it hard. It's hard to find such refined motorcycles. There are absolutely no vibrations even at 120kmph on a highway. You may need to upgrade to 10w40 grade fully synthetic for that. Recommended is 10w30 but if you are living in hotter climates and riding bumper to bumper traffic it helps to bump up from 10w30 to 10w40. There are very minor vibrations with stock oil at low rpms. Like around 3-4rpms. But, when you compare with new Duke 390, you feel no vibrations.
The engine is so capable and makes you feel that it lasts longer than any well maintained KTM. Engine likes to be ridden hard and if you don't, it feels a bit boring. Gears from 1-4 at higher rpms give you thrill filled ride with adequate torque.
The bike has definitely more to offer than what a beginner enthusiast wants.

"Kind of dull" is the case with most Hondas it seems. I have a Hornet 160 myself and although it's my first bike, I find it fairly nice to ride. Speculations are it might launch around (Q2-Q3) cycle 2024.

I dont understand that you are believing on what people are saying.
You were the one who firstly tested the bike and then gave the review.
I dont know but trust me cb300r is way more efficient and usable than the duke 250.
Having top notch equipments and performance upto the redline doesn't make the bike great.
Cb300r is more practical than the duke 250.

Well, this answers my question. Save money for safety gear and buy the CB300F instead. No point taking the R if it's still vibey like the F, whilst having a smaller fuel tank!
Also, better mileage on the 300F is a good plus!

I believe the discussion was on 300F which matches with all the discussion point... 300R actually felt really much more powerful and raw than the Duke 250 because of its light weight... I test drove both the bikes back to back before selecting 300R... The 0 - 100 is where the magic is... It is really refined when compared with the D250... I enjoyed riding this bike just for the engine characteristics... Design is subjective anyway.... I am still waiting for you guys to test ride and get your perspective... Waiting.....

Try to source a CB300R from someone, have someone at MotorInc who does not have a prejudice on Honda ride it and share their opinion. CB300R is a very nice bike, light, quick on its feet, refined and a good, normal looking alternative to the very loud and flamboyantly dressed Duke 250.
