This is not a smartphone for taking pictures at night or even during the day. Small sensors, even the 200MP ones, have good quality but still have saturation and dynamic range, which is not the best, but in terms of camera features, it has good features... let's wait for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but when it comes to taking pictures, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is still the king.
@@ThroughJermainesLens 6100 of battery will have 10cm of zoom for macro the main camera will improve with new sony LYT and portrait mode is better Xiaomi did a good job but also with new lenses from leica... yes x200 ultra the main camera will be 1/1.3" 35mm
I currently use Samsung A22 5G. Much to my surprise, this phone has a good camera2 API, which enables me to shoot in raw. While the main camera app doesn't do the justice of the 1:1/2 inch sensor, I get a better result shooting in raw for sure
Hi, I like the video not only for phone camera review but also for your photography skills. I will try to copy some of your shots to exercise my framing.
A great video mr jermaine as always love ur videos greetings from Lebanon. Wanna add a question pls the x200 ultra will get a 35mm main sensor and probably a 13-14mm ultra wide so the question is isn't it a big gap between these 2 i mean we are used to 23-27mm on a phone it's a bit weird to have a 35mm but i think would be great also. Also another thing the 35mm on the x200 ultra will be a 1/1.28" So i think the 35mm crop from the 23mm on the 15 ultra which has a 1/0.98" would be i think pretty equal quality. So imo camera lineup on the 15 ultra is better imo 13-23-60-100mm
@@ralphsaliba8582 oh no if you love photography that 35mm is a HUGE benefit for it, the ultra wide will have a crop on it and for people who take it a bit less serious it will still be perfectly fine! Though I deed I wish it was a 1" sensor
@ThroughJermainesLens but indeed i think the bigger 1 inch 23mm on the 15 ultra can give you a great 35mm sensor crop so i would say personally i do prefer xiaomi's camera lineup more i think the gap between 13mm and 35mm would be big and the 23mm crop from an ultra wide would be bad .
Hi Jermaine!
Infuriating to say the least. Was really excited when I saw the china version had a telephoto lens and the only change would be the 200 MP main sensor instead of the 50 MP, but I guess we can't always have nice things :/
In some region , 14 pro plus. Comes with , 50 mp. Big sensor, telephoto lens 50 mp, 6200 mah silicone carbide battery .... Well sound like a real upgrade from 13 pro plus. ...but they launch inferior global version 😊
@@davidvlhmar3493 because they're both from the same parent company and since this channel is focused on photography capabilities of different phones it won't hurt to compare a flagship from yesteryears with a mid-range phone of today.
The main camera takes really good pictures for a middle class phone, but ultra wide and videography are just too bad. In this price range I'd rather go for the Galaxy A55. Xiaomi should switch to at least a 12 MP UW and finally fix the focus issue in video recording and they would be the champ of the middle class.
main camera indeed is fine! but yeah ultra wide possibly a 1/4" sensor size is just not it.... at least have like a 1/2.55" or something. it's holding it back
500 euro for 8gb 256gb is a bit too much for this phone I think for it to be worthwhile. I think for cameras you're better off getting an older better model on sale in Europe. For quite a bit cheaper now you can get something like a Moto Edge 50 neo with a Sony LYT700 main sensor, a 3x 10mp telephoto, and a 13mp ultrawide with 12gb 512gb of storage. You could also get last year's note 13 pro or note 13pro + which had the same rear camera setup for a lot cheaper and you won't really lose much if anything in terms of camera performance. The Redmi note 13 pro 5g for example is around 280 euro now for the 8gb 256gb model. This is the same for most newly launched phones though. Previous models reduced in price often offer far better value.
Xiaomi drastically downgraded the global version of this phone.. the chinese version has a much more useful 2.5x telephoto lens and a much bigger battery at 6200mAh A big disappointment!
yeah before I got it looked at the specs and I was like... Intresting!! good choices there... and then... well... The main sensor though I think is solid!
Poco X7 Pro has a 1/1.95" main sensor compared to the 1/1.4" on the Redmi Note 14 pro+. Certainly not better for photos anyway unless the image processing on the Redmi is really bad. That is a huge gap in sensor size to make up with image processing.
I love that you review every phone your hands got it not only flagships. Lovely video as usual
yeah if I can inform I will :D And thank you man!
I feel like the shots from this phone are so much better than any flagship device. It's definitely about the skill. I love watching your reviews
Very nice video Jermaine, hi from Greece!
Thank you! And Greece!!! Nice. Someday!! Someday I will go there!
Thanks again for this review in depth. Still difficult to choose witch one will be my next. Till now Xiaomi never let me down.

Yea just realize, wonder why they change the spec, global seem not worth to buy at all also more expensive
they changed it for the global version.
Does it have the Always On Display permanently or just 10 seconds? Please reply after confirm??
Is the 4x zoom near optical quality?
Is there any benefit to using in camera app filters over editing photo afterwards, what is your reasoning?
The most benefit is you can directly see how it looks like with the filter whlie framing the subject.
