I heard on another video that it is preferred for first time Nannie’s to have twins because the babies are usually smaller than singles, making it easier for the mom to deliver. But you would hope to avoid triplets for them.
Singles are undesirable in any goat, they are normally much bigger. Twins-triplets is ideal, I wouldn’t even complain with quads. Considering I’ve had triplets be 4 lbs each, I wouldn’t wanna know how big a single would’ve been.

I'd rebreed Indy to VS Code Red & then do a check as he's your stud. It'd be even awesome to breed him to First thingz first. U bred him to any mares yet? So hoping for a Indy Code Red filly, same colour as Fred. Sounds busy at RS.

Multiples is actually good for a first time momma, smaller than a singleton.
Indy is a big healthy girl. I don’t think you lose anything by trying again to catch her this round. Then, like you said, you have choices for next heat.
I would do the same as you are doing with Indy. I’m sad she’s not pregnant but hopefully the next time it’ll work her times a charm and Bubbles says that she wants a food baby.😂
Not saying what you did was wrong. I think the idea of X-ray is awesome. What made you choose X-ray over ultrasound
I'm not sure 100% on reason but I do know that in dogs and cats x-rays are used as well to check litter amounts, so it's not like x-rays are uncommon for this reason.

She is ready if she was in the wild she would have been pregnant already and all they do is she is pregnant than she eats and lives life for 11 months

I think I’d maybe pass on breeding Indie with expensive VS Code Red this late on. She had perfect follicle size etc last time and we know Waylen has PLENTY of swimmers but she didn’t take, this time around it’s not a perfect circumstances for her so why risk such expensive semen especially IF you have another mare available to breed with him or if you already have VS Code Red babies in other mares. I’d either try her with a less expensive sire or consider giving her the year off. Nature knows what it’s doing. Sorry that’s probably not the answer you were looking for 😢
Does she still pay a stud fee if she owns the stallion? I'd assume the cost is MUCH less for her as VS Code Red is her stallion, which is why she said she'd be able to get a weekend dose. It also explains why she would prioritize having a VSCR baby over another "cheaper" stallion baby.
She owns VS Code Red and I believe she only pays for shipping with him 😊
I'm pretty sure she said in another vid that code red semen only costs her $100 + shipping. So it's as inexpensive as it gets. However, as men would normally have a live foal guarantee, wouldn't it? So even if he wasnt owned by katie, the second try would only be a shipping fee.
