      Are you going to disclose to your customers that the fingerprint scanner on the pixel 6 pro won't work once this screen protector is applied? I bought two of these to cover both phones we bought and it was sadly a terrible waste of money.

    • @ShaneEllis1
      @ShaneEllis1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Why did you not show an unlock with these installed? Is it because the fingerprint sensor fails? This isn't something you should omit from a review.

    What a relatively useless video. It's got a fingerprint reader in the screen, but you don't test that... and the title of the video includes the Pro, but you don't even bother showing the Pro with its curved screen and a screen protector.

  • @dalecheeseman
    @dalecheeseman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    You didn't show the 6 Pro at all. That has curved edges and is much more awkward. This could have been any phone you tried this on.. thanks for the clickbait 👎

    Two things I would have actually found useful in this video: how well does the glass protector fit the curved pro screen, and does it allow the in-screen fingerprint reader to work.

    Misleading video title. Where the proper evaluation of these on the 6 Pro. Zero mention of whether the finger print sensor still works. I've had to bin a glass wall already due to it not working on my 6 Pro, and Amazon is full of P6 Pro glass protectors with single star reviews for the simple fact, that they stop the in screen fingerprint reader from working. This is what happens when screen protectors are released before the actual devices and are not properly tested.

    • @BoomBoomBrucey
      @BoomBoomBrucey 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's all glass ones so far for Pixel 6 sadly. For some reason, the only ones that seems to actually work as intended are the plastic films, which is a shame as I prefer the glass ones, but every one I've tried has been unresponsive and fingerprint scanner doesn't work, but no issues with the flimsy ones. 😔

    • @adriankatava6662
      @adriankatava6662 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There should be an option in the settings where you turn up the responsiveness of the screen. Most phones have this in case you install a screenprotector. It is also advised you install a new fingerprint after applying the screenprotector.

    • @BoomBoomBrucey
      @BoomBoomBrucey 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adriankatava6662 Pixels do have that option, but sadly it only makes it more responsive with typing and other inputs, doesn't make any difference to the optical scanner being able to detect a finger.
      I've heard that with future updates cheaper third party glass screen protectors may work, but right now the option is got TPU film or very expensive "made for Google" certified glass screen protectors is the only way to get the fingerprint scanner to work.
      That said. I have looked high and low for a f FP reader compatible glass one and still can't find anything that's certified, so I'll be going with TPU for now as I don't think I can go back to entering a pin number or swiping a pattern after having a reader for so long. Even the Pixel 4 had face unlock, that was at least something to make up for the lack of a finger print scanner. If P6 got face unlock that would be a great alternative. Other than that, the phone is great so far, except for Pikmin Bloom breaking it...but that's Niantics fault

      I bought one from mobile fun, arrived today. Fingerprint scanner hardly works, despite enabling increased screen sensitivity. You could tell there was a problem because during fingerprint setup, 70% of the time it would give an error unable to read fingerprint. After 10 profiles stores of the same finger, I managed to make it unlock the phone once in about 30 attempts.
