In this context (the Asian childhood nightmare), it means that the OP got some traumatic flashbacks of getting in trouble as a kid. In China, it's common to say that and then get an ass whooping or yelled at.

That’s because BMW entered China by creating a Chinese name. Bao ma means precious horse which I think it’s actually a great name, easy to remember and easy to get its idea: great tool of transportation.

TheSharkmanforever 其實中國跟日本是可以和好的 歷史戰爭我們現代也控制不了的 戰爭過了那麼多年了 但中國出那麼抗日片 導致很多中國人對日本不好的印象 當年歐洲的英國和法國還是世仇呢 現在兩國關係都變好了
韩国直到七十年代才完全取消汉字 和老一辈 你甚至可以坐下来写字 畅通无阻

IAmLex After learning Japanese I can understand. “Are you okay?” Is also when you’re concerned for not just physical health but also his mental health. So if you say “are you okay??” as in “you’ve got problems” then it’s the same thing

I’m Chinese/Canadian and I absolutely adore Japan (for anime, J-Pop and the beautiful city and culture), Korea (for the K-Dramas and K-Pop), America (hello neighbors), and China (my parents birthplace and my second home). I just really wished politics would stop separating these countries, whose people (most of them at least) don’t hate each other at all.
