If Marvel and Disney paid any attention they would realize the actual charges were that Majors unintentionally hurt a finger while he was the one being attacked. They need to rehire Jonathan Majors ASAP
Agreed....apparently, there was a representative there... which I find hard to believe because that conviction made no sense....they were arguing for intent, NOT unintent... They just stacked those charges and railroaded him without thinking of doing in this.

@geekemedia Disney are very selective on what they act on then...considering something else major was reported, but the actor wasn't even fired... and it was worse. Don't see why he should've been fired for pushing someone in self defense either.

They should give back Majors his role. It is incredible that running away from someone aggressive towards you, could be considered assault. All the people in horror movies are now guilty. SMH.
Jonathan Majors was brilliant in Quantumania and Loki Season 2, Marvel must rehire.

I commented earlier but I just had to add, watching Majors portrayal of Victor Timely in Loki S02 makes his firing even more baffling. He was superb.

They may have certain stories set up that make it too hard to move away from Kang
Your right, they can't pivot their way too easy without Kang
They literally built this phase around Kang. They can't just drop the character and force in a new character we haven't seen in the mcu yet
Right! They set up Kang and his variants in a very important way! So they need to continue this storyline and I'm glad they are!
Let's hope they explain this different recasting into the story of the MCU so that it makes sense, I really wish they'd just kept Majors.

Esposito is an excellent actor and would bring gravitas to any role, but for me he's way too over exposed. He's a baddie everywhere and he just did Star Wars Mandalorian. But I would like to see him as Professor X.
Esposito would be awesome as a Kang recast. For someone that is reportedly so nice, he does play a great villain.

A jonathan majors rehire is very much still possible. I mean it’s been 5 months and they haven’t replaced him yet. Also it’s not Giancarlo, we know that for sure

I would recast Kang the Conqueror with Giancarlo Esposito the reason being, is because he has already been apart of Star Wars The Mandalorian, also Giancarlo Esposito portrayed Moff Gideon & Pedro Pascal is playing Mister Fantastic when in Star Wars The Mandalorian portrayed Din Djarin. The recast announcement will come during San Diego Comic Con Hall H, maybe even D23

I think we all are since Majors is the only reason Kang was an interesting character in Loki and Quantumania
Maybe Esposito is playing Immortus? That would mean he's techically not lying when he says he's playing a new character, but we still get a version of Kang (or at least the person Kang becomes).
I agree with you on the typecasting.
Aldis Hodge, Cole Domingo, and Giancarlo are great options but I also think they should rehire Majors. And Aldis would be great recast for T’Challa. Giancarlo would be a great Prof X. Unlike Magneto and Doom, whose race is tied to their story, Charles X has more ambiguity to work with.
If not Jonathan Majors, how about Leslie Odom Jr. as Kang?

While I was in the camp of rehiring Majors or moving on, I do like this casting and think he will do a great job with the role.
I think Giancarlo Esposito is a good choice for recasting Kang.
I would not be mad at Giancarlo as Kang. He is a very nuanced actor and would bring something to the role that, as good as he was, JM hasn’t projected just yet at this stage in his career. I hope he’s given the chance in the future to do just that.

The multiverse means even variation in appearance so kang can be recast and it makes sense if you look at what their gonna do when they tap into different versions of iron man in different time lines when they move on to a different time line

Why did they kill off Angela Basset, what a stupid move for the sake of the plot. Although I think Angela Basset could be a killer Storm, but in another universe they could make it work. I like your concept on MBJ and Shuri though

I guess we'll see what happens. I've kind of started to like moving away from Kang and it just would seem forced at this point. I think marvel is keeping their lips shut and letting it be and feel their announce something completely different to go on once they're ready.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be mad if Giancarlo is casted. His role as Gustavo Fring in Breaking Bad was crazy and he was ruthless and menacing at some points, he would do Kang justice.
Esposito would be a great older Kang variant. Would be nice to get Majors to play the younger version, but not a bad pivot if we get Esposito

Feel the same way you do about Esposito. He has become type cast and that part of it is disappointing but Disney needs a sure thing to fill in the role.
