1. No, it doesn’t delete any previous songs that you’ve uploaded if you stop paying for their yearly service. 2. For Spotify and Apple they have their “Spotify for Artists” and “Apple for Artists” accounts for artists to edit their account info. Like pictures and such. But for TIDAL, Deezer and the rest you have to submit your profile pic and info. To Distro kid’s support team so they submit it to those platforms. 3. You still have to put the other artist’s name even if they don’t have a Distro kid account per legalities so you don’t later get sued, even if said artist does not have an account yet.
What is the distribution platform you are using? Also, I would recommend having it on all platforms so it makes it easier for your fans to find your music. Not everyone has Spotify as their streaming service.

I simply look on TH-cam and find beats that say “free.” Would this be considered a cover without lyrics? Could I still upload these beats with my lyrics and voice? Are these free beats remakes of instrumental version of any songs? Or are they original beats created by that user? Also, I wouldn’t recommend doing that unless you get permission from that producer and they also have “copyright free” on any of those beats.

It’s his own beat, but gives you the option to purchase it and gives you a certain amount of streams depending on how much you pay for the beat. Im sure you might know what I am talking about. This producer has certain options, for example if I pay $35 i get the mp3 and WAV beat, I get the licensing rights, and can place the song with my lyrics on Spotify and have up to 100,000 streams. I have never done this before. Based on your experience. Would you recommend moving forward with something like this? It’s kind of scary once you see the contracts. Would you also recommend getting an attorney to go over the contract? He does however mention that it’s free for non profit use as long as I credit the producer. This is how the business works and I’ve bought beats Before from other producers and it’s fine but just make sure you credit it then and stick to those requirements. As far as the compensation from streams, since you are crediting them, yea it means you won’t receive much so that is entirely up to you.

It is entirely up to you, personally I put my real name. You can use either or, as long as when you collaborate with other artists, producers, or writers you use that same name you stick with so there’s no confusion.
