🤩🤩 I get what you're saying about his songs being so impactful and making you deeply feel. It can't only be the words (since we often have to interpret them first), it's something he expresses in his voice or in the arrangement of the song, I'm guessing. My brain loves when unusual words are used in songs, like "perpendicularly", it's unexpected and mysterious in a way. I didn't even know what it meant before I heard this song.
Thank you so much Saeed! Asaf always pay attention to every details such places to shoot his videos, instruments, lights ect. The song is related to all the loves he lost and the title of the song may confuse.: this is the beauty of Asaf Together with the request I attached his writing to be read after reaction.(let me know ...) Great reaction as usual: a big challenge. Thanks again for sharing this amazing song.
Great reaction again, buddy! As we have determined before, Asaf is a genius artist, a completely one off. Good luck duplicating him 😂 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
This is another one with a SUPER interesting concept. If you don't want the story behind the song, stop reading.. I respect that some want to keep their own interpretations, however I find Asaf's way of thinking so mesmerizing.. . . . Only the title has to do with his horse, really. It was after his horse got chased down a cliff by the wolves (he never found its body) that he wrote "lost horse" in his notebook and felt all the losses in his life overwhelm him. People lost, pets, versions of yourself that you lost, dreams, places... Asaf often speaks about entropy (the degradation of matter and energy in the universe) to create a non-religious acceptance (instead of fear) for the fact that we are all born to die, born to wither away. We are not new, we are not special, everything will pass. He believes love is the weapon we have to protect ourselves and to find meaning in existence - we know that we were born to fail, but that makes our effort in love and finding meaning in life even more beautiful. The thing that seem to live on is the human need for meaning, for religion, for gods. He then asked himself "what is the difference between gods and humans?" Gods are immortal. Then he asked "But how do gods measure time, how do they know for how long they lived?" He thought: What if the gods use humans as their "clocks" (the lyrics: a sundial for the gods), what if they created humans only to see the passage of time through our decay, maybe we are here just to let cosmos know the passage of time. Two dead bodies laying perpendicularly to each other, for the gods. 😄😄 oh the way his imaginative stories stimulates my own imagination is amazing! 🤩
@@SaeedReacts. Although he's not religious or even spiritual he manages to put lots of religious/mythical words and concept into his songs. That says something.. maybe we can't completely seperate ourselves from those kinds of subjects?
@@Irmelinis I do believe we are connected to those concepts, but sometimes we dont need to assign those words to those feelings. The words come with a whole story attached to them and maybe people dont want to associate theirselves with that.
@@SaeedReacts. Yeah, I often wonder what words can be used instead. That would have the same sense of mystery and same universal impact. Difficult to find, I'm guessing.
I want you to hold me Perpendicularly only A sundial for the gods We were born, born to fail He probably wants to be held like this to form the bar of the sundial
Possibly :) as the gods are looking down on us from the sky. I also take it as he wants to be loved and held, but is afraid to let someone into his life again, so he keeps them at a distance, two humans pointing different ways.
I can watch you all day long with your reactions to ASAF!! You are an amazing and inspiring human being❤️ You have an open heart to listen and delve into every song🙏 I think our next step is to get you an interview with him!!! Wow this will be extremely interesting and fascinating to watch🤩 Tnx again until the next one...🥰
Thanks so much for the kind words! That would be amazing and scary at the same time 😀. Definitely want to get to know his music and the person better to be prepared for such an event (if that would ever happen 😅)
@@SaeedReacts. Wishful thinking 🙏 No preparations. No fear. Outside the box..😉 Remember...? From the journey with him so far you already know a lot about him.... Regardless, I encourage you to watch interviews with him. maybe the dream will come true..😍
As always, I'm profoundly grateful for your reactions to Asaf's art, thank you, Saeed! And I really need to watch your reaction to different sides of Asaf's personality: Over You Blues (th-cam.com/video/iRGTq5eXGLU/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=YuliaItin) - for once, there's no need to decipher the lyrics, he-he. And this one: Sweet Babylon LIVE th-cam.com/video/dyv6DELA3Vs/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=AsafAvidan - almost pure rock song and Asaf is with a band.
When I listen to this song, I always imagined that “holding perpendicularly” refers to riding a horse. You know, the shape of the horse is like a line and the rider is another perpendicular line.
Masterpiece, really. You're spot on
Amazing song and performance!
Wow.
I could listen🎶 to Asaf play the piano for every minute of the rest of my life🥰
I actually do.
He is really really deep
I love it!!
His music is amazing. Incredible writing !
Really beautiful song/voice/performanse👏👏
So good! Thanks for watching.
Yes, again great.... And the chorus gets stuck in my head each time I hear this song.
Amazing song! And yes, it is one that gets stuck in your head. Sounds so good.

Again great song and performance. Makes you think and feel and We learn new things. Amazing.
What is unique about him is that raw, authentic emotion in his voice. Not many has that.
Lovely reaction, as always, btw! 🙏

If I had to define Assaf in one sentence, I would say: An angel fell from heaven 🙏💙🇮🇱
Beautiful
He didn’t learn how to play the guitar and I think piano too until he was 26
He’s now 44 but I think it’s pretty impressive ❤
Wow!
Masterpiece
💯
Grear reaction to one of his best performances

I always imagined /interpreted it as the horse holding him perpendicularly to its horseback, so when he's riding they're forming the sundial.
@@wachiroski I got that image in my mind too.

I read today that Asaf had a vegan sanctuary. Not quite clear on that. Lol. I know he loves animals.
Have you done his any winehouse cover
Back to black??
I did! Not too long ago actually. It should be in the Asaf Avidan reactions playlist
