- Tearing down the engine out of my $400 tractor to see how bad the internals are and figure out what parts we need for a rebuild.
Rebuild what went wrong? Tear down diesel engine. Dirt work skid steer tractor mini excavator Japanese diesel engine.

Very simple and high quality engine. Sand/dust in the intake air has ruined the rings in many off highway engines. You can never spend too much money replacing air filters in these little engines. They can’t tolerate being ran hot due to stopped up radiators. Heads will crack if they get too hot.

That oil looked pretty nasty! Whenever coolant and oil mix together it turns into a thick nasty sludge
