  • @tobiasxxx1742

The other thing is, your car dont need a K&N Filter, it gets enough air with the original one. Aside from that, K&N Filters are made for racing - they do NOT Filter the Air as good as the Original will do, so if you will cut up the Lifetime of your Turbo, than use K&N oder complete without filter.....

after of year of testing, i can tell that block of trim should not be installed during very hot days on long trips. but cutting off right side like he did will make "huge" difference. KN lets more dirt then anything. Racing line filter foam filter or KN not recommended if you like your car very much. snow grit and cutting the piece of right side is the way to go. Good video overall . Thank you.

Hey man - yeah dude it was a hack job lol. I ended up spending more time to smooth everything out. If you want a cleaner way - there are forum members who used a drill bit to open up holes within the closed off duct. It's much easier to do - and also performs the same. Maybe even better as it can filter out larger debris from getting into the airbox. However - the cluster of mini holes gives me goosebumps and why I didn't go that route.
