This is the connection to bring Julie Pierce ( Hillary Swank) back. Julie's grandfather was war buddies with Miyagi, and she learned Miyagi Do as a young child making her character completely relevant I highly suggest revisiting " The Next Karate Kid" BTW honestly Julie Pierce fighting was more fluid and loose than both Daniel & Johnny in KK. Hillary Swank is a natural athlete. There's a reason Clint Eastwood cast her in Million Dollar Baby, which she won both an Oscar & Golden Globe. .The most accomplished actor in the franchise
Terry Silver is like the Palpatine of Cobra Kai. No matter how hard you try, he always comes back. Definitely one of the best villains ever, great reaction as always guys!
I hate that everyone this season was like "Miguel is the better leader and Robby should hand it over." That drove me crazy that people never gave Robby a chance. But on the other hand, this shows that Robby's priority is not karate and that makes me happy that he is not repeating his father's history. Robby definitely one of the strongest fighters and a born leader.
I don't think Robby should hand it over to Miguel, but the fact is that Miguel is a MUCH better leader than Robby, that's a fact, but of course they had to give Robby a chance, and I'm happy about that, it means that in the last part it will be Miguel's turn!!
I feel like everyone is being kinda rude to Robbie saying it should have been Miguel. I love Miguel too but this isn't a popularity thing. Robbie hasn't been the one with good friends and familial support, but he has taught Miyagi Do. He was Daniel's first student since baby Sam. He won the challenge. It makes sense he's the leader. But he's still a kid and he needs some support from his senseis. Have we seen any of them one on one train or have an encouraging conversation with him throughout the tournament so far? Johnny's emotional moments this season have been with Miguel and Devin.
I think it’s safe to say that Terry Silver is the # 1 villain of the karate kid universe. He is pure evil. He’s like Emperor Palpatine, whereas Kreese is more of a Darth Vader.

I wonder if Mr miyagi killed his opponent the way he stopped kreese - the edge of his hand ready to break his nose into his skull but he didn't stop like he did with kreese? I think something is going to have it's callback. For the last 5 episodes i think it's going to need Sam and Devon learning something from julie-son. Might be the last thing they need to be taught to with the competition
Unsure. But I agree, this may be the way they go. I personally am leaning to something else mentioned that Miyagi hid from Daniel: the pressure points move. I wonder if it went awry. I am not entirely on board with Miyagi committing murder. I'm willing to bet it was an accident. We will see!
Terry Silver is a magnificent bastard. He’s by far the best villain in this franchise. He’s like Gustavo Fring, Hans Gruber, and the Kingpin. He’s ridiculously intelligent and he always manages to find a way to bounce back. Also me personally it was satisfying to see the shock on everyone’s faces that not only Terry was able to not go to prison but he got the best fighters in the world to fight for him.
I'm brazilian, and when i saw that they adapted Capoeira movements to karate, i laughed a lot! Very creative. Sekai Taikai is an MMA tournament after all. hahaha

These middle 5 episodes were fantastic, and loved the tournament matches. The final 5 are out Feb. 13th I believe. I can't wait to see how it ends, but sad to see this show end. Always enjoy your reactions :)

When Robby threw Kwon and shot back up I was like "yeeeaaaaahhhhh!!! Get em Robby!!!" Literally watching this episode in the back room at work lol. Like 3 people heard me and started laughing. They nerfed Robby the entire season just have him cook hard AF this episode. This was a masterful set up by the writers. Bravo!
Hawk and Demetri had EVERY right to be concerned about Kenny, its literally Terry Silver....he gets in kids' heads. Kenny was even getting conflicted. Also they cared about their team and were afraid to take chances they thought Kenny abandoned Miyagi Do for good, this is what character arcs are for....

Robby lost his focus bc of Tory during the tournament until this episode and now Tory lost her focus bc Robby although he did nothing wrong since he was drunk in the last episode.
To be honest, I NEVER expected the charges with Stingray to stick. Stingray is truly the least credible witness ever since he recanted his sworn testimony that Kreese did it. In Episode 10 of season 5 he tried to revise it but that was never going to work. The only way they could get the charges to stick is if they found evidence that Silver burned down Mike Barnes store. With Terry Silver's money he could afford any lawyer who could do this.

I felt bad for Kenny, Miyagi Do doesn't even deserve him, he should've gone back w Silver and joined the Iron Dragons, I definitely wouldve, fuck what the audience says, yh Silver paid off the reff at the all valley but he was the only one who had Kenny's back while everyone else treated him like shit, and demetri and hawk acted like he had to prove himself to them, and once he fucked up the Brazil team, then they started kissing his ass, thats just hella fake, fuck Robby too, yh Kenny was the one who came to him but Robby knew what he was getting Kenny into then when Robby realized the path he was going down, then he leaves and just expects Kenny to do the same, Robby put him in a tough ass situation, also I'm glad Kenny kicked hawk's ass, hawk definitely deserved that ass beating in season 5, Miyagi Do treated Kenny like shit a lot when he didn't even know about the Cobra Kai, Miyagi Do beef at the time, he was just a kid trying to get by and live like a normal kid and stand up to the bullies
