Times evolve and an actor’s work might feel monotonous, but it’s a director’s craft to bring out the best out of an actor whatever he has left to give.
Shah Rukh right now is an actor that has multiple hits for his performances and audience are prone to get monotonous of his acting, but out of all the three films that came this year Shah Rukh’s performance in Dunki has been the best though I feel the emotional sequences could’ve had more life.
Yeah actually more than writing and characterization what saved the film is it's performance specially by Vicky , srk , tapsee to some extent but to drama work mainly character dynamics and character evolution should work throughout the film and that is weak in this film

We appreciate the concept,research and pre-production that went into the movie but to put it simply the film didn't land. Despite the presence of great artists like Boman, Vicky and Tapsee,the jokes were falling flat , despite SRK the songs and scenes were unremarkable, the writing and the production were much weaker than any of Hirani's movies.

Sir ignore the good comments, I as a Raju Hirani fan didn't like the movie. Production design itna kharab tha ke kuch jagah laga ke play dekh raha hu. Comedy seems its from 90s(although movie is setup then but aapka level ke hisaab se nahi tha) and emotions don't land at all. Aap bas aur ek draft banado jahan ye sensitive part nahi hai. Please understand that we come to theatre to get entertained, agar knowledge hi leni hai to documentary nahi dekhte?
