I am one of MANY nanas/grandmas who follow Louie all the time. I’ve already spoken to many of his followers and all agree he has once again outdone himself. Copy of a Copy of a Copy brought me to tears and Change did that also along with goosebumps. People of all ages love the relatable storytelling behind his songs and lets hope his solo recognition continues to grow with each song. A humble, authentic man who truly deserves this success.
@@BMG-we2xp I’m beginning to feel like an old lady stalker. Poor Louie. He doesn’t realize what he is in for with the older generation following him 😂🤣 we are persistent.
@@BMG-we2xp and I have never responded to anything online till I had heard someone online who wasn’t impressed with our man/boy so much with the song . It set me off so I had to respond . I’m so technologically illiterate but I was driven 🤣
@@BMG-we2xp and hopefully his music will continue and all his fans will be able to see him in person one day. Yes I love being called Nana. My favorite people call me that😊
I think this song is about his life after fame. Like everything changed after he became famous. From the outside things are so different. He's getting older and all the other things but from the inside he's still the lad from Doncaster.
That's a bit what i was thinking too, my 1st thought was "Well, he's turning 30 this year... I bet it hit him in some Way" especially in this verse "still the kids on a friday night" like he's not a teenager anymore but some parts of him still Want to be
One of the things I love about Louis is his lyrical abilities. He has such a way with words & he will put his thoughts/feelings into the songs. After the very first time I listened to his album, it immediately became an all time favorite of mine. There is just something about Louis. His heart, his voice, his words, his presence… he is an absolutely beautiful soul. ❤️
This song + Copy makes me SO excited for LT2. I think it’s going to be an incredible album. You should check out the whole away from home festival. It was a livestream + documentary and was really wonderful. I remember you liking the bucket list video he did for two of us. This documentary really shows more of that Louis. He’s very vulnerable and open and very sweet. I can’t wait for whats to come for him!
This has a Beatles, John Lennon feel to it. Louis is a brilliant songwriter . I was just at my home where I grew up and was walking around to all the places I used to hangout as a kid, feeling nostalgic and noticing how things had changed but still felt the same inside …. then he comes out with this song???? Louis knows how to tap into the common experiences that we can’t always put a finger on. Super talented!
it feels like such a self reflective song to me, like when you're just sitting alone in odd hours of the day and going through what happened and how the world evolved in all these years. Very very nostalgic
Thank you for your reaction! I love how guitar-heavy Louis’ songs are, Michael on guitar absolutely smashes all these guitar solos. Louis is so cute with his little chats hahaha, absolutely adorable and lovely. I love the song so much, and the message behind it is so relatable. It’s obvious that he’s talking about growing up and his life after fame, how everything changed outside (appearance, money, popularity…) and basically the whole world around him changed but he’s still the same inside, the same Louis from Doncaster. You can always rely on him, the fact that’s he’s famous doesn’t really matter or change anything for him, he’s still the same Louis. It’s also kinda referencing his friends! Louis for the most part hangs around childhood friends he’s known since he was a kid. So that’s like a message for them, I feel like. I love how despite how many “hollywood” people he’s met he still kept the same group of friends from home around him after all these years.
Love how there's so many meanings. It can be applied to fame, getting older, everything changing because of covid, etc. And the guitar solo is like heaven in my ears
Lou's voice here is perfectly trained. It's very strong, deeper and a bit darker than usually and comes from the top of the head not from the nose part. Really impressive. Love it.
I think it's about his life before fame and his childhood friends There s a line in the song"We r still the kids of the Friday night Silver streets and the neon signs " And silver street is a street in Doncaster(Louis hometown) where ppl go to party and stuff so uk makes sense for it to be abt that But Louis written it in such a way that the song is relatable to everyone Seriously he deserves way more recognition
Louis has such a genius and ability to draw one into his story by melding melody, lyrics, mesmerizing vocals. So many of his songs are a security blanket of reassurance. Louis is an inspiration and all of his beautiful music reflects his huge empathetic heart. This is what sets Louis apart and will forever occupy a special place in my heart among artists across disciplines
I want to add that Louis is a genius to trust the emotional intelligence of fans of all ages even if the total weight of this song may not hit his younger fans for a few years yet but they will have this when the time comes. Beautiful!

I feel like this is the first and only song that louis has sung where his voice reminds me so much of listening to the smiths and Morrissey I know these are big words to put out there but I really like how he switched up his tone in this song

Liam's reaction to this song was so pure and I really think Louis wrote this for the boys. Like we changed, life has changed but I'm still the same and I'm here for you and every time you need me I'll be here for you.
louis' way of expressing vocally , contemplating reality lyrically and conveying emotions through anyone ( be it you've been listening to him since the past few years or for the first time ever) , makes him one of the best songwriters out there . this rock ballad is such a pure nostalgic continual into present feel . proud that he's working with unique genres and putting all hard work out there while he still enjoys what he does . love that man, he's all about communicating words through lyrics to about anyone who listens to him . can't wait for lt2

Immediate thought was this is about life in the band and life after. "Still the kids on a Friday night" and " The kids are alright" were powerful lines to me. Even with all their individual success you can tell at some point during a performance or after singing a 1D song they think of having the others up there beside them and miss them. They will get together again for a special event. My opinion, because they said so. Louis had the hardest time with the "break" and he is singing about it in his songs. 🥰 Sorry, went a little long!

Oh it's such a shame
Nothing stays the same

I'm feeling Stereophonics vibes in it and I love it. Can't wait for LT2
Thank You!! I love the song. In true Louis fashion it’s just very relatable and I happen to love kind of slow songs so yeah. Smooth. Straight forward. Yes, agree. I think it’s a sound that fits him.
As we grow up we change in so many ways but inside we are just the same little kid, I think this song is along those lines, same as Ed Sheeran's castle on the hill, and changes by can country that Harry styles wrote last year
Ahhh love you for this 😘😘😘
I’m so stoked you’ve done this reaction! I’ve watched all of your one direction reactions (and some others🤭) and I was there at this festival when Louis performed this! I’m so glad you’ve reacted to it - I love him and you! 🥳
