    50 F-16’s
    Another 100-200 M1 Tanks
    Another 100-200 M2 Bradley’s
    Plenty of Ammunition
    More demining systems
With the exception of the Ammunition, all of this stuff is sitting in retired or reserves stocks in the U.S. or NATO allies
The west is sitting on $600B in seized Russian foreign reserves. This should be transferred to the Ukrainians who can then fund the development of their own defense industries as well as buy modern weapons from western and Korean manufacturers.

      @@jj4791 I see a couple bits.
September 20, 2023 Newsweek reported "It is difficult to get an accurate picture of Russian losses in mainland Ukraine and on the annexed Crimean peninsula, but according to Dutch open-source intelligence outlet, Oryx, Russia has lost key components of its S-400 batteries on at least five separate occasions, including command posts, launchers and radars." "There may be other losses to Moscow's S-400 stocks, and some reports indicate unspecified damage to S-400 systems inside Russia." "The loss of an S-400 system, though still relatively rare, will be a painful and expensive and humiliating hit to Russia's air defenses. Each S-400 battery comes with a price tag of around $200 million, Sidharth Kaushal, of the London-based Royal United Services Institute think tank, told Newsweek on Tuesday."
Forbes reported in September, "Russia Had Five S-400 Batteries In Crimea. In less than a month, the Ukrainian navy has destroyed two of them." It is likely there is overlap in the two reports.
      Beyond that is increasing speculation.
I think we can be sure it is a setback, but just how much of a setback is unclear. It doesn't seem to be changing the ongoing stalemate one way or the other. I can foresee it being mentioned by challengers in the March 17 presidential election.

I disagree. If Ukraine with only materiel, intelligence, and financial assistance - no outside military personnel - can retake such vast areas as were taken by Russia at the outset, then with proper preconditions of air superiority, artillery superiority and a timetable set by the Ukrainian command, not by elections in the US , then Russia could be driven out of Ukraine in a few months.
Your premise that even if all democracies united and fully contributed to the effort that Russia would prevail seems unlikely given how successful Ukraine has been thus far with only limited drip fed assistance. No one is suggesting an invasion of Russia - only it's removal from Ukraine, and this has been partially achieved already. Remember, Great Britain won no land battles at all until 1942 in WW2. And it had the full support of the Commonwealth, and most of western Europe......and eventually the US.

Putin knows that Ukraine is probably on its last legs economically and militarily at this stage, as literally everything is going against Ukraine these days. from the failed summer counteroffensive, to the eyes of the world being on the middle east, the US entering a presidential election year, and many of Ukraines neighbouring allies turning their back on them when the penny dropped on what a potentially westernised Ukraine would do to their respective economy's in areas of foreign direct investment, tourism, agriculture and the labour market.
