America for my entire life (73yrs.) Has a history of supporting a country until we tired and then abandoning them to their enemy. This is worse than staying the h... Out of it. As a Nam vet. I think we need to change that legacy right here and right now. You will not have many volunteer to put their life on the line for another defeat. Shame on us. In for a dime in for a dollar. We should never quit and leave them holding the bag. Have a clear objective and accomplish it, we used to know this.

Maybe for a moment America did that and had that belief, but it's been almost a century. It won't change because America is completely void of morals and nothing but degeneracy. I never was on the help Ukraine team knowing exactly what we would do, and were doing. Drag it out and spoon feed billions while a few get rich putting on a farce. Just like everything after WW2, either go all in immediately or stay out of it. It's all business at others expense and never been about helping. Worse part is, it's confused America on who it is, and created hate and a monster that it won't be able to fix.

Ukraine is far more important to give up, it affects USA safety. Before the war, Germany (which controls most of EU) was cooperating with Russia and China. Such alliance is far stronger than USA, and in several-10 years USA would be in grave danger, having far more powerful opponent.
Once Ukraine falls, Russia will have 3 fronts against Poland - will be able to attack or put army from 3 sides - Kalinigrad, Belarus, Ukraine.
That will create a huge pressure, requiring USA to put *a lot* more army in Poland and possibly other small east EU countries (Latvia, Estonia etc).
Direct war with NATO will increase further the risk of atomic war, but thats not all.
If Russia puts their 3 armies around Poland, and at the same time, China invades Taiwan, how can USA respond?
Will it send millions of troops both to defend EU against Russia, and Taiwan against China? Thats war on multiple fronts, and usually doesnt end well.
It would also be obviously a III World War.
Russia having Ukraine will also pressure Germany to start cooperating again, quite possibly.

The only people in US who want to abandon Ukraine are MAGA Republicans.
As far as sticking it out, US did 20 yrs in Afghanistan, Russia did 10.
And look at WW1. Russia was first to fold in that war.

Boohoo it's very rare you get to see how an enemy and a supposed 2nd strongest army use their tactics and weapons in a preview in a impending world war, America and Britain has learnt alot in Russia's failed invasion and showed the serious weakness in Russia's war machine. If you don't think the Ukrainians earned the right for a even chance with military equipment then your just endorsing slaughter

She was fighting in bahkmut and seemed to love it as she was getting revenge and they have little time to feel bad. After the war it might hit them hard but it's sad to think they are running out of shells. Maybe the EU should finally admit it is over. They took all our money (or the value of it) and spent it by replacing most of us with the third world and they can't sort out defence even though they only need artillery for now. Ffs put the economic migrants to work making shells. Maybe they imported them to even up the cannon fodder numbers!? Don't understand how they think yet they "lead" my country. Democracy?

I suspect there is considerable resistance to helping Ukraine attack Russia directly. This would allow Russia to claim we are somehow "directly" involved in attacking Russia, and that it is not just a proxy war. The current approach is intended to wear Russia down, like the Afghans did, and ultimately they will realize their mistake and inability to continue prosecuting the war. Although, never forget for one second, that Putin is ex-KGB and will use every conceivable spy trick up his sleeve to win this war before wiser heads in Russia pressure him to stop. The longer it goes, the longer Russia's and their military will suffer.

Russia once controlled approximately 35% of Ukraine, it now controls less than 17% of Ukraine. The Soviet stockpile, the largest cache of weaponry ever assembled by man, is more than 55% destroyed fighting the Russo-Ukraine war. That translates to hundreds of thousands of tanks, planes, apcs, artillery systems, trucks, radar systems, air defense systems, bombs, bullets, shells, missiles, etc. Russia has suffered greater than 1 million total casualties with >334k of them being Russian KIA.

Sure. The "normal Ukrainian" who was dragged off the street and carted off to the front line wants to be there. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
This gentleman is engaged in propaganda - pure and simple. Know what the indicator is? He doesn't say anything critical about the Ukrainian side, his criticism is purely focused on the Russian side. Here are 3 examples:
      1. He doesn't speak about Ukrainian causality figures (he talks about Russians dying in hundreds of thousands).
      2. He speaks about supposed Russian military weaknesses (e.g. the canon fodder) while staying quite about similarly weaknesses in the Ukrainian army (e.g. the defense of Bakhmut which US generals advised them to abandon, but they refused and suffered enormous causalities). Another example is highlighted in the Time's article about Zelensky insisting on attacking Russian positions when was tactically inept.
      3. He also says nothing about the infighting in Ukraine (among Zelensky and Zaluzhny, for instance). He's eloquent about the supposed fractures in the Russian leadership.
Anytime a supposedly "intelligent" analyst gives a one-sided view of a conflict, they're either deceived or lying. Given this gentleman's stated credentials and his eloquence (which means he's not an idiot), it is clear that he is lying.

Russians do not call in artillery. The front line troops do not have communication access to artillery. Russians plan for shaping artillery attacks and then do the attack. Russian artillery cannot hit anything with precision and would be just as likely to hit their own troops. It is important to understand the difference in top down control, artillery doctrines, precision of equipment and training of troops. Ukraine fires fewer hells but hit high value target on average every third shell. Russia fires thousands of shells and randomly hit something.

Lots of Russians died in the wars but it doesn't mean they are reveling in it... And how many Ukrainians were lost in this war???? Probably much more than Russians. When the propaganda works on full steam you can't distinguish facts from fiction. For this reason you have to look into more sources and read between lines. And if you start to look at the facts without the lens of propaganda you will find it doesn't look good for Ukraine.

Russia (the USSR) defeated Germany, largely due to American and British support, but suffered a general rate of attrition of something like 12/1 in the favour of the Germans. In contrast, the rate of attrition in the west was something like 1.5/1 in favour of the allies. Russia has never recovered from these losses. They "won", but at a cost thats never been repaid. Ww1 was the same for them. Theyre gonna liquidate another generation of young men and for what? They cant possibly win anything that resembles a victory here. If they defeat the Ukrainian military in the field, then they conquer a country in ruins with 40m people who now hate them and will run an insurgency.

I don't think that is how it works in Russia. What has happened is that a population that has been so dispirited by the goons that rule it faces such a negative demographic outlook, that their dear leader has to entreat them to bear more children. What the goons never get is that they are the primary reason that a land that might properly have a population of 400 million, instead has one of about 145 million. They cannot imagine how it would be their fault. It, more than many, is a land in quiet despair. Perhaps the hope would be a mass of young women chanting to their leader: "More power to us." He would be so tempted to just be a goon again.
