I have to agree. He has an interesting character arch and spits some truth that really hits you, and can relate to our world today. “People just want to be told what to think” really got me deep brother, it’s some really good story writing.

I wonder how would they even be able to mess with the infested. There probably would be a way that would probably just make them stronger. The veils take away pain and put it where it serves Narmer/Ballas but the Infested are part of a hibe-mind. I doubt that puttina veil on one infested would control the whole hive (unless it is a hive designed to listen to only one individual) and most probably it will just be overwhelmed by the rest of the hive. Not to mention that 1) infested heads are all over the place and 2) I doubt that the veil could just take away the pain from the infested or remove the "infestation madness", idk how their mind(s) reaply work. Imagine ending-up giving the infestation narmer veils and now they can produce "veil" parasites that just fly around and attack themselves to your face and control your mind. They already have those Deimos tendrill drones and MutalistAllad-V had an ability that controls you with a collar so... I guess the veils would only make things worse, maybe even create a new strain
Makes sense tho. If you look at the map during the New War, you can see that Eris and Deimos weren't under Narmer Occupation. And Sister kind of confirms that Narmer didn't know of their existence because the Entrati family decided to keep quiet. To Ballas, the Infested are just not worth bothering with. Just let them rot in their own corner and prepare weaponry in case it's needed. But yeah since Ballas was planning to destroy the wol system and go to Tau anyway, it's very safe to assume that he didn't care about the Infested. It also makes sense that we didn't go there because we are just your average normal human. The Infested are a threat to us. If the story would involve them, then it would only overcomplicate the story. Although I do wish DE would've stick with their original idea to make The New War a series of events and multiple quests instead of a single quest.
To be honest, I loved this little cliche (if it can be called one) "where the protagonist lost, the world is lost as the bad guys take over it But then, a mysterious figure appears, hooded or with their face covered, we don't know who they are or what their purpose is, but we can be sure, they are the guy guys, are the new hope for this forsaken world"

The only reason Ballas lose was bcs he doesn't understand the whole concept of the void (like us). The Drifter came to fill the empty role of the Tenno, in the same exact arc the drifter explained that there's only one of them can exist in each respectively dimension so when Ballas "removed" The Tenno from the main story The Drifter could just step into the main story bcs there's nobody (The Tenno) to denied him too. The Drifter seems to know much about it tho, like he could actually feel his other self (Tenno) got removed from play in the main story.
True, and hes completely insane towards the end. His fragile ego is so hurt by the fact that Margulis loved us more, he doesnt just wanna takes us both out, he wants us to submit. And he would burn away the whole solar system just to see that. Ive seen people call him a whiny bitch, which is true ofc, but that "family tragedy" we got at the end was really well written. I get why they gave us that trigger warning at the beginning. I knew a guy from my old job who told me he is still haunted by the memory of his father wanting to kill him and his mom in a fire when he was a kid. Im not gonna recommend him this game anytime soon....

I beleve that the orokin are the "evolved" form of humans, or the space-adapted versions. They were probably in space for tens of thousands of years before the sentients attacked, and their skin colour changed to their enviroment. The time in space also probably resulted in their elongated arms. However, it's probably a regional thing to deep space/the outer planets, as the Tenno, Margulis, and Teshin among others clearly have "modern" skin tones.
We do seem to see later in the quest that the Orokin - or at least the forerunner to the Orokin - were once an advanced human species similar to our current vision of futurism, with the Zariman Ten-Zero's interior stylings being much more utilitarian. It sort of pointed out to me that before the incident and the creation of the Tenno, they were just future humans, but somehow with the Tenno and a new understanding of the Void, their tech level skyrocketed, which pretty much warped their society into the decadent monster we see remnants of now. What counts as beauty in Orokin society is clearly one of things that's become different during that time.
Its implied that the highest order orokin have used continuity atleast a few times, so whatever body they are in when we see them is likely been preselected and very surely genetically altered. The only reason they didnt give themselves Space marine bodies is bcuz of their addiction to "beauty", so it seems like they just gave themselves whatever body they found the most aesthetically pleasing

Fantastic villain imo we never thought he would be capable of such deception I thought he was some cool narrator for the prime Warframes until the sacrifice and the apostasy prologue then we see him legless and then he uses Natah and erra to establish his reign as narmer that’s tough 😭
What always bothers me is....where did the other tenno GO? I've seen a few people think were the only one but everything in the game contradicts that. The reservoir is full of tenno pods, various npcs reflect on there being more of you. Little duck even comments on the number of tenno she's seen walking around in our kid body. The existence of Clans and dojos are canon and there wouldn't be a need for them if we were alone. So.....where go?? Why were we rhe only railjack to respond to the invasion? And where have the others gone?

This was _CERTAINLY NOT_ a Story worth sharing . . . This was an "adventure". Yeah well, f**k that ! T'was just another "side-quest". A scam. _FOUR_ years of teasing for so little... You wanna know how anyone with enough logic would have done it ? Here's what I thought should have happened, A though that haunted my mind and made me leave this game for close of three years, and I've still not frogiven such spoiled material and opportunity... It will be a big one, my appologies, but that's the only way to make it, if not impactfull, inspiring. First thing first, don't make it a "solo" quest. We're talking about Solar System scaling of war, all planets of Origin are under attack ! _This is a narrative live event !_ Cut it all in three Acts, shared to players, not in a single day, but though multiple weeks ! Where _EVERYONE_ can and must participate ! Imagine, regroup all accumulated lore, and write it this way : *_Act I : The War._* The sentient arrives. As foretold, Erra Used her sister to open the way to the Origin system. We are taking part in the war, as we uncover it from different points of view : Grineers, Corpuses, Entratis ( just imagine some mission as you control infested... i don't know, for exemple, the Emmisaries of Arlo, if you wanted to keep the human shape in mind ) and of course, Tenno. The Choices to make. The Alliances to forge _( Mass Effect 3 Style )_ . The Ressources to gather. The tactical decisions, and consequences of it : being unable to attack on both fronts, the choice of an ally, neglicting the other... All of this, to finish on the climactic battle _( that we witnessed in less than an hour )_ ... the death of Teshin, our Operator send back to the void... With Erra, rulling over the system. And Ballas, for his help and to keep the people under controll, rised as a god. The System fell to the perfect Order of the Sentient. And life shall be harvested, in time and care, so the Sentient prevail and arise anew. *_Act II : The Drifter._* Weeks. Months passed. The tenno are gone. Narmer guide the people. Erra Unleash the sentients everywhere... We discover the world after the war, marked for good... And we discover this new character. The Drifter... Us. A version of us brough powerless from the void, as the Dreamer returned to the place that made him. As him, we're locked and limited to certain gears. _IT... TAKES... TIME_ . We're truely locked in this New War untill, some weeks later, developpement comes ! In the meantime, we must go on rescue missions to help more people to escape from Narmer. We must sabotage, spy, bring havoc across the whole system ; opening the path to further changed lands ; steal inteligence to regain our operator weapons ; new tools/skills that we could use, and permute as we wish... And a way to save the Lotus, reduced to her eidolon form ; barely saved by the Dreamer. Then ? After some days, if not weeks of gameplay and habit, an update . . . A call from a familiar place... Ennemies becoming friends. The hunt for the Archons _( and not just 3, but ""all or close"" of the primes... the greatest, and leader, being Excalibur Prime for god sake ! that was your clue DE, and you MISSED IT ! )_ and of course... the truth of our common past : the drifter, and the dreamer. *_Act III : To kill the gods._* As we finally heal the Lotus, we are faced by her blind wrath... and this confrontation allow us to relink with the void. We recover our Operator, lost within the Derelict Zariman, and see glimpses of the everlasting horror that haunted this place. We can see the chaos, the despair, and madness... for a limited time ( 20-30 min worth of gameplay ), we must hide. Survive. Stay in group... and then we see Him. The Man in the wall, offering us a hand. And as we grab it, the void take over us... same for our tenno friends, all facing their own nightmares. The link of the two times is completed. Only there can we talk to the drifter. And so comes the choice... who will end this war ? How will it end ? The Void Devil ; Killer of gods ; bane of the Sentient ? Or The Drifter ; a survivor ; one who faced the Duviri lands, and bathed in its void for many years ? Then comes the question : Powerless, or not anymore ? Able to transfer, or not ... Could Umbra then play a role as our protector, as the drifter ? Question leadings to the assault On the Unum ; The assault on the Sun Devourer... Erra . . . And finally Ballas. It's a though that haunted me, as there was so much potencial : all wasted. it's not "much", but the main thing is all a question of passing ; of time gestion... This is something that should have been, like any war, gargantuan. something massive that cannot be easely solved. Something that would have required a true dedication. a true commitment. From everyone, therefore the warning telling you : if you engage in this quest, all will change.
Possibly fighting Narmer on multiple fronts. Our guy is basically the Tenno's big face the Optimus Prime if you will. So when we lost to Ballas our moral was hit badly and we lost because of it. Most of them were already shifty after Lotus was taken losing the big hero delivered the killing blow.
I was and still am honestly more impressed than mad that he managed to outplay EVERYBODY so that he still came out on top in the New War. From a near dead sadistic traitor, to an amalgamated slave who acted out how much he lamented his conversion, to emperor of the Origin system. Amazing twist.
I am confused...how did ballace become the leader of the Narmer...when we saw him being puller around with a collar and leash by Erra in ealier quest lines.
It was all a ruse. Ballas was the one in charge from the beginning. To quote another comment "The leash was an attempt to manipulate the Natah aspect of Lotus, once that failed there was no use to keep up the guise.

All I know is he was a fine during the sacrifice but was "killed off," then he came back to life as some sort of sentience zombie and being used as a slave of sorts. Then, all of a sudden, he became the leader of Narmer with erra being put in second on command.

@@Sidor_Star Pretty sure he didnt plan for the events of The Sacrifice to turn out like they did (getting stabbed by Umbra and almost dying from that). The Sentients turned him into an Amalgam in order to save him, to which he reacted with horror. But he kept plotting anyway, against the Lotus and the tenno, using Erra as an ally. Pretty sure he’s the one who revived Erra on Lua, The Maker cutscene seems to imply that, meaning that Erra owed Ballas and decided to play along with his scheme.
Margulis looked after the orphaned Tenno children when they returned from the void with their new powers. The Orokin council were not a fan of this. They feared the Tenno because they saw their void powers as a threat. Margulis was ordered by the council to kill the Tenno but she refused to do so, seeing them as her own children. For her refusal, it was decided that she would be executed by the council. Ballas, being pissed off that the Orokin council just killed his lover, betrayed the Orokin empire for the Sentients. It was Ballas who exposed various Orokin secrets and weaknesses to Hunhow, such as the fact that Warframes were actually being piloted by Tenno children sleeping on Lua.
Yeah yeah, narcissist manipulator blaming the Tenno for literally everything he and the Orokin ever did to these people. Rather cathartic to physically cut through a manipulator's bullshit. No more games. No more veils. No more poisoned wells. No more shields. Cut through everything, and cut the man down.
I'm a muslim too and it's pretty weird, they aren't worshipping him on purpose, they are forced to with these veils upon their eyes it controls them and manipulates them to picture Ballas as their savior (temple kuva) here's your explanation (^_^)
This scene looses ALL of its potential because in this quest we never get to talk or see our own purpose, as the player, as the Tenno, what ARE we doing? who are we? What do we fight for? Ballas here brainwashing the entire system and giving a speach as though we had something to be blamed for means nothing because we don't know what would be our side of the story.
Ikr you'd expect "New War" which had Operations like Scarlet Spear that required railjack and squad length to get rid of those ships. Then we had Orphyx Venom where you needed Necramechs. New War has been hyped for 3 years. Trailers show mainly fighting and Natah. A fight between her and tenno, only for the New War to be only 20 minutes of the quest. Don't get me wrong it's still the best quest in warframe, I love the update, but it's a shitty way to blend New War with Duviri Paradox
@@technoultimategaming2999 The quest was really underwhelming, lazily and poorly written. Parts of the script didn’t make sense and wasn’t explained and the level of plot holes are insane. This quest update needs to be removed and the game reverted back, New War needs to be rewritten from the ground up fundamentally and completely. The community needs to be rejecting this quest update. DE needs to redo the writing properly.
@@technoultimategaming2999 I think the point is that the new war already began, with the scarlet spear and orphyx venom operations being the first two fleets of enemies, the new war is supposed to be the all out attack, one that the tenno would lose, and we don't know how much time passed between the tenno losing and the drifter appearing, I overall think this was very well written, you just have to look at the whole picture and not just the quest itself

It was all a Rouse. Ballas could not rebuild the Paracesis himself. So he gave the Blueprint to us so we could rebuild it for him to use.

Sentients are immune to Infestation thankfully, probably the one reason the plague didn't consume the whole system after the Tenno were gone.

Fantastic villain imo we never thought he would be capable of such deception I thought he was some cool narrator for the prime Warframes until the sacrifice and the apostasy prologue then we see him legless and then he uses Natah and erra to establish his reign as narmer that’s tough 😭
What always bothers me is....where did the other tenno GO? I've seen a few people think were the only one but everything in the game contradicts that. The reservoir is full of tenno pods, various npcs reflect on there being more of you. Little duck even comments on the number of tenno she's seen walking around in our kid body. The existence of Clans and dojos are canon and there wouldn't be a need for them if we were alone.
So.....where go?? Why were we rhe only railjack to respond to the invasion? And where have the others gone?
Deep down in your arse, next to the botomless abyss . . . I mean, what do you want us to say ? : (
There's nothing to redeem here. This was not a war. This was not a conflict. This was _CERTAINLY NOT_ a Story worth sharing . . . This was an "adventure". Yeah well, f**k that ! T'was just another "side-quest". A scam. _FOUR_ years of teasing for so little... You wanna know how anyone with enough logic would have done it ? Here's what I thought should have happened, A though that haunted my mind and made me leave this game for close of three years, and I've still not frogiven such spoiled material and opportunity... It will be a big one, my appologies, but that's the only way to make it, if not impactfull, inspiring.
First thing first, don't make it a "solo" quest. We're talking about Solar System scaling of war, all planets of Origin are under attack ! _This is a narrative live event !_ Cut it all in three Acts, shared to players, not in a single day, but though multiple weeks ! Where _EVERYONE_ can and must participate ! Imagine, regroup all accumulated lore, and write it this way :
*_Act I : The War._*
The sentient arrives. As foretold, Erra Used her sister to open the way to the Origin system. We are taking part in the war, as we uncover it from different points of view : Grineers, Corpuses, Entratis ( just imagine some mission as you control infested... i don't know, for exemple, the Emmisaries of Arlo, if you wanted to keep the human shape in mind ) and of course, Tenno. The Choices to make. The Alliances to forge _( Mass Effect 3 Style )_ . The Ressources to gather. The tactical decisions, and consequences of it : being unable to attack on both fronts, the choice of an ally, neglicting the other... All of this, to finish on the climactic battle _( that we witnessed in less than an hour )_ ... the death of Teshin, our Operator send back to the void... With Erra, rulling over the system. And Ballas, for his help and to keep the people under controll, rised as a god. The System fell to the perfect Order of the Sentient. And life shall be harvested, in time and care, so the Sentient prevail and arise anew.
*_Act II : The Drifter._*
Weeks. Months passed. The tenno are gone. Narmer guide the people. Erra Unleash the sentients everywhere... We discover the world after the war, marked for good... And we discover this new character. The Drifter... Us. A version of us brough powerless from the void, as the Dreamer returned to the place that made him. As him, we're locked and limited to certain gears. _IT... TAKES... TIME_ . We're truely locked in this New War untill, some weeks later, developpement comes ! In the meantime, we must go on rescue missions to help more people to escape from Narmer. We must sabotage, spy, bring havoc across the whole system ; opening the path to further changed lands ; steal inteligence to regain our operator weapons ; new tools/skills that we could use, and permute as we wish... And a way to save the Lotus, reduced to her eidolon form ; barely saved by the Dreamer. Then ? After some days, if not weeks of gameplay and habit, an update . . . A call from a familiar place... Ennemies becoming friends. The hunt for the Archons _( and not just 3, but ""all or close"" of the primes... the greatest, and leader, being Excalibur Prime for god sake ! that was your clue DE, and you MISSED IT ! )_ and of course... the truth of our common past : the drifter, and the dreamer.
*_Act III : To kill the gods._*
As we finally heal the Lotus, we are faced by her blind wrath... and this confrontation allow us to relink with the void. We recover our Operator, lost within the Derelict Zariman, and see glimpses of the everlasting horror that haunted this place. We can see the chaos, the despair, and madness... for a limited time ( 20-30 min worth of gameplay ), we must hide. Survive. Stay in group... and then we see Him. The Man in the wall, offering us a hand. And as we grab it, the void take over us... same for our tenno friends, all facing their own nightmares. The link of the two times is completed. Only there can we talk to the drifter. And so comes the choice... who will end this war ? How will it end ? The Void Devil ; Killer of gods ; bane of the Sentient ? Or The Drifter ; a survivor ; one who faced the Duviri lands, and bathed in its void for many years ? Then comes the question : Powerless, or not anymore ? Able to transfer, or not ... Could Umbra then play a role as our protector, as the drifter ? Question leadings to the assault On the Unum ; The assault on the Sun Devourer... Erra . . . And finally Ballas.
It's a though that haunted me, as there was so much potencial : all wasted. it's not "much", but the main thing is all a question of passing ; of time gestion... This is something that should have been, like any war, gargantuan. something massive that cannot be easely solved. Something that would have required a true dedication. a true commitment. From everyone, therefore the warning telling you : if you engage in this quest, all will change.
Possibly fighting Narmer on multiple fronts. Our guy is basically the Tenno's big face the Optimus Prime if you will. So when we lost to Ballas our moral was hit badly and we lost because of it. Most of them were already shifty after Lotus was taken losing the big hero delivered the killing blow.
I was and still am honestly more impressed than mad that he managed to outplay EVERYBODY so that he still came out on top in the New War. From a near dead sadistic traitor, to an amalgamated slave who acted out how much he lamented his conversion, to emperor of the Origin system. Amazing twist.

I am confused...how did ballace become the leader of the Narmer...when we saw him being puller around with a collar and leash by Erra in ealier quest lines.
It was all a ruse. Ballas was the one in charge from the beginning. To quote another comment "The leash was an attempt to manipulate the Natah aspect of Lotus, once that failed there was no use to keep up the guise.
@NDAndreev ah I see. It just came out of nowhere, is all. Or maybe I didn't catch the hints. All I know is he was a fine during the sacrifice but was "killed off," then he came back to life as some sort of sentience zombie and being used as a slave of sorts. Then, all of a sudden, he became the leader of Narmer with erra being put in second on command.

The whole time actually they likely pretended to keep him prisoner for the soul purpose of manipulating Natah.

@@Sidor_Star Pretty sure he didnt plan for the events of The Sacrifice to turn out like they did (getting stabbed by Umbra and almost dying from that). The Sentients turned him into an Amalgam in order to save him, to which he reacted with horror. But he kept plotting anyway, against the Lotus and the tenno, using Erra as an ally. Pretty sure he’s the one who revived Erra on Lua, The Maker cutscene seems to imply that, meaning that Erra owed Ballas and decided to play along with his scheme.
Margulis looked after the orphaned Tenno children when they returned from the void with their new powers.
The Orokin council were not a fan of this. They feared the Tenno because they saw their void powers as a threat.
Margulis was ordered by the council to kill the Tenno but she refused to do so, seeing them as her own children.
For her refusal, it was decided that she would be executed by the council.
Ballas, being pissed off that the Orokin council just killed his lover, betrayed the Orokin empire for the Sentients.
It was Ballas who exposed various Orokin secrets and weaknesses to Hunhow, such as the fact that Warframes were actually being piloted by Tenno children sleeping on Lua.

Yeah yeah, narcissist manipulator blaming the Tenno for literally everything he and the Orokin ever did to these people. Rather cathartic to physically cut through a manipulator's bullshit. No more games. No more veils. No more poisoned wells. No more shields. Cut through everything, and cut the man down.

I'm a muslim too and it's pretty weird, they aren't worshipping him on purpose, they are forced to with these veils upon their eyes it controls them and manipulates them to picture Ballas as their savior (temple kuva)

This scene looses ALL of its potential because in this quest we never get to talk or see our own purpose, as the player, as the Tenno, what ARE we doing? who are we? What do we fight for?
Ballas here brainwashing the entire system and giving a speach as though we had something to be blamed for means nothing because we don't know what would be our side of the story.
So we were at “war” for like 20 minutes… poor writing.
Ikr you'd expect "New War" which had Operations like Scarlet Spear that required railjack and squad length to get rid of those ships. Then we had Orphyx Venom where you needed Necramechs. New War has been hyped for 3 years. Trailers show mainly fighting and Natah. A fight between her and tenno, only for the New War to be only 20 minutes of the quest.
Don't get me wrong it's still the best quest in warframe, I love the update, but it's a shitty way to blend New War with Duviri Paradox
@@technoultimategaming2999 The quest was really underwhelming, lazily and poorly written.
Parts of the script didn’t make sense and wasn’t explained and the level of plot holes are insane. This quest update needs to be removed and the game reverted back, New War needs to be rewritten from the ground up fundamentally and completely. The community needs to be rejecting this quest update. DE needs to redo the writing properly.
@@technoultimategaming2999 I think the point is that the new war already began, with the scarlet spear and orphyx venom operations being the first two fleets of enemies, the new war is supposed to be the all out attack, one that the tenno would lose, and we don't know how much time passed between the tenno losing and the drifter appearing, I overall think this was very well written, you just have to look at the whole picture and not just the quest itself
