Getting combat instructions charged to 98% and then running out of visible targets and having to watch it bleed away to nothing is the core San Martin experience.
It's a very fun ship. But it can be frustrating at times. :P

Second game sums up my problems with the ship and with wows in general. Playing low-range ship at t10/11 is an awful experience quite often, as you get games like this with nobody in your range despite you being in EVERYONES range, and like half the enemy ships able to dev strike you.
I like it when teammates work together. It's not only helpful, but makes the game even more fun.
I like these one takes a lot, hope you expand to multiple tiers not just top ones.

I love the buff on this line of ships and how aggressive it lets us be, however since subs exist and DD's should be your focus, it can be hard to get the buff if you play the game "correct". You need BBs to shoot to really get the buff efficiently.
My biggest gripe with this ship is that she absolutely sucks when the enemy team is kiting away the entire game. You need to push hard to get in range and when you finally start getting hits the damage is just anemic. She's great fun when she can get into brawls at closer ranges, but she just struggles at range fights which I find is more common than not.

He could get the Megadeth Rattle Head premium ship, it's basically an Omaha, but looks way cooler and if you put Rattle Head as captain it plays Megadeths song Tornado of Souls!!🤟
Very close to unlocking San Martin. I liked the Allende and I really like Santander. I completely play around the superheal, I make sure to always have it ready. It allows for a lot of plays and a lot of risk. She heals back 70% of AP damage I think, it's amazing.
I play Santander with range mod, her ballistics allow for good arcs.
When I played random battles on the PTS this month, I think half the battles were Airship Escort. If it is like that on the main server after the update, that will definitely be a major change to random battles.
It's one of my favorite cruisers to play, I never thought this line would be interesting until I reached tier 8. Super heal turns them into zombies that need a dev strike to kill or focus fire. Lives and dies by the consumables. Those guns are made to butcher cruisers and even battleships that underestimate it.
just played my first game in her yesterday - shes fun. Went for her after your first videos on her o/ the AA is above average as well and the torps are useful enough

i'm halfway Santander (Tier IX), and it is fun already. If you can get a clear sight of a large BB, you get to farm the buff really quickly. You'll need to time it and use every consumable tho, to get the best value

It’s one of the best additions they have done, yes, a fictional theory ship but the gimmicks reward aggressive/smart play, but being a CL, you still can get punished hard, Insta deleted easily.

You got 80k spotting damage, which surely helped with the base xp.
There's one reason I don't want to grind this line. It's that I don't want to hear that stupid noise every time I hit something with 6 second reload guns.
Otherwise San Martin seems like an interesting ship.

I just had a crazy idea. What if they split random battles into two modes? One with CBs and subs and other as a classic style. Make it so that the CVs and subs game mode has a 200% income and Xp bonus while the classic mode has a -20% reduced bonus.
CVs and subs receive no bonuses.
That would leave the mode with subs and CVs dead even with the income buffs.

@@j_taylor Just after it came out of Beta but I was just using classic as Standard mode name. I still consider the era that Carriers could control fighters as a classic mode though. CVs weren't universally hated at that point cause they could actually protect ships.

One of my favourite ships, despite I don't like tier X nowadays, sadly the perma camouflage are kinda bad, all the camouflage black, really WG? Should at least, being and argentinian ship a similar camon like the Nueve de Julio one.
I find randoms so stagnant these days that i just play tiers 5, 6 and 7 - there's a little more fun to be had there.

Absolute miserable line to grind but the SM is awesome.
Incredibly lucky with the multiple citas on the Smolensk.
Normal humans will get only one per salvo at most, and the rest will be bounces, shatters and overpens
The line is fun to play, though. I’m currently at Santander, and getting matches with superships all the time kinda makes the grind a bit more difficult than one would like it to be. Still, a nice line

Soooo unconventionally tanky!! The ability to heal back so much cit dmg is arguably broken if you set yourself up to recharge the buff regularly as well!
