- Today attended one of the uncommon evening estate sales that pop up every now and then. And I cannot believe the amazing vintage clothing and retros toy selection they had. Unfortunately I didn't get everything I came for. But, I ended up walking away with a bunch of unexpected treasure. I hope you all enjoy!

It has to be pretty annoying when you pull out a box of clothes and start going through it and someone just comes over and starts pulling stuff out

@ReadySetResell yup you sid the right thing. Kindness goes a long way. It's how you build relationships. Who know maybe you will run into him again at an estate sale and he may return the kindness and gift you with some of his finds.
Just goes to show how important it is to know different niches. They priced all toys high but underpriced the clothing. Nice haul!

It always blows my mind how there's nobody battling you for clothes at these sales. Theres so many vintage kids in my area that camp out sales and rush the clothes first thing
Oh believe me there are a ton of vintage sellers here too. But there are lots of sales normally and everyone is spread out. Also, this sale didn’t show any vintage clothing in the photos.
Same they literally run through the house asking for clothing. They bum rush the clothing then split. Usually I’ll find great gems hidden elsewhere. They only know to look for certain vintage clothing leaving a ton behind.

I used to wear Varnet back in the day in the 80s. It is a silent T at the end, and it was popular with Benetton and a Espree brands - great finds !!!! 😊

Great haul even though I’m a Packer fan. BTW Vuarnet is a French sunglasses brand. Very cool in 80s and early 90s

Ben you found so many gems! That aop bears t shirt and that collision hat were my favorite. Right behind those was the Vuarnet France shirt. Excellent 80’s beach volleyball era shirt. Tip: it’s pronounced Vu-are-nay France. Tricky I know. That’s French for ya. They made super cool expensive sunglasses back in the day among many other branded things.

if that were me id give the other pick the death stare and take the bin of shirts into the corner of the room. He did that twice to ben once at the hats and followed him to the closet.
Hey Ben, just wanted your insight into selling Chicago sports apparel. Bears, Cubs etc. I can never get rid of this stuff as well as Steelers apparel. All good 90s stuff just sits for me though. I do not have this issue with other teams. I sell a ton of Eagles and Flyers for example.

The original JP toy line came out in 06? Didn’t the movie come out in 1990. I was obsessed with that movie as a kid as a kid born in the 80s.

I love that thing. Rab is a great brand to know 💯. I never wanted a sun hoodie until I found that one and tried it out. Now I take it with me every time I go on a trip somewhere.

I predict that more and more these type sales will have higher and higher prices as more TH-camrs attend them, and then post all about the things to look for. More Estate sale people are watching these TH-camrs...which is kinda funny 🙃
Hey Ben just a question: in a situation where things are priced high and they don’t advertise a mark down day, do you ever consider leaving your business card with them to come back after the sale and make a bulk buy? I mean wouldn’t it be worth it to see what was left when the sale was over?
Except nothing sells international since ebay took it over 😢
My international sales literally went up 5x since EIS started. Not saying that’s directly due to the change over. But, people are defiantly still buying internationally.

estate sales usually happens when the person dies and a company comes in to sell the entire contents so the house can be either sold or rented.

A few places. Facebook marketplace, local company websites, and estatesales . Net are where I usually go.
I miss global shipping program it was better in my opinion.

I received more sales through the gsp. Not so much when they switched over.
I used to get tons of international sales before they made this change. I was shipping international standard.. or was it select..? Now I don't remember. I had dales going all over the world. I had no issues at all and now I'm lucky if I've gotten five international sales this year. How can I tell if my listings are set for international sales? And is there a way to do international standard/select like we used to? Have you done a video on this and I've missed it?
Does eBay still charges the shipping label once it gets to destination? I was hit with a 22 dollar bill once my item made it Mexico. I got scared and stopped selling internationally. By the way Vuarnette are glasses and ski goggles

I got to start doing estate sales. The thrift store has been drying up
estates drying up too people picking them clean. buyers chiming in on my deals trying to take my pile. estate runners pricing things near ebay prices. i just put the item back in front of them and leave.
@johannadam8134 yes I agree with that. It's like there is a war going on with resellers.
@@NeonPulseStudios not a war just people trying to make a little scratch on the side trying to get the goods before everyone else. wake up at 4am to find out stuff has already been bought up. or estate sales tricking people into thinking its the first day when they've been having the sale for multiple days already.

nice! I once went to an estate sale of a master Machinist.. all the people flooded the home shop and the garage. I have never found more valuable vintage tees in one spot.. $3 each too.. Turns out the guy was a drink canning repair man at one point and he had shirts from all the beer and soda places.. Hats too.. gotta think different to be different..
We all hit at least once. Same here got about 7 vintage concert shirts from an estate sale. Funny thing is the sale was free just come in a take anything. Left with the equivalent of 20 shopping bags full of vintage clothing. Most were dirty and stained but at sold one concert shirt for $200. Others were $50 to 80. One other $200 shirt I haven't listed due to stains so I took it down to wash and never resisted. I couldn't believe everything was free I just started grabbing and looked at home later. Emptied out a giant bag full of crap and started stuffing clothing in it. Didnt even realize there were concert shirts until I started checking.
