I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota as well that's 2wd and I have a 3in performance accessories body lift, plus a 2.5" Daystar leveling kit in the front and its a working process though. I wanna switch out my magnaflow muffler for flowmasters though. Any chance that you wanna lift your truck a little higher??
did you put a Suspension lift on it or did you just lift the body up im looking to put a 3'' suspension lift kit on my truck was just wondering where i could find on
Dang. I called up 4wheelparts and if I got a 3 inch body lift I could fit 33inch tires. When u go off roaring does it help any? At stock ride height I had 235 75 15 on my truck and had no problems just seeing how they where on the truck. How much did u pay for the lift? Can u send me more videos of it and pictures?
logan klein I saw someone who had 33" tires, and they said it was rubbing a lot on the front bumper, but he used a saws all to shave a little bit off of the front lower bumper and now it doesn't rub at all. His was a 4x4 though and those are about 2" higher in the front than a 2wd if I remember correctly, so I'm not sure if you would rub with your setup. The all terrain tires help tremendously when going off road and through mud and such. (I can make it through foot deep mud no problem with these.) I bought it from 4wheelparts for around $200 on sale. I've got a few other videos of the lift install and before/after lift and me driving in mud. If you want some pictures I post a lot on instagram...@meangreendak
@Ryan Lehr Definately not worth the money unless you have it tuned at a race shop that has a dynomometer then you have a good hp gain. This guy's air intake and tb spacer added so very little for the money it costs. I bought the K&N full intake for my 2000 Dakota SLT with the big 360 magnum and it barely did anything at all. All it did was make it sound better. If you want a bolt-on and no ecu tune id suggest shorty headers. better bang for your buck right there. My buddy has a 95 dakota slt with the 318 magnum and those shortys was a big gain and that was the ONLY thing done to the whole truck at the time
I didn't know that the 2000 slts had the 360 option I've got the a 2000 slt 4x4 with the 4.7 I thought only the r/t daks had the 5.9 option so to hear that your slt has that engine is cool to hear
+countryboy92 Hard for me to believe too. When i was looking at it up in palm springs, SoCal the guy said it was a 360. In my head i said BS. I saw the Catylist sticker in the engine bay...fucker said 5.9 right on there. "Ill be damned" i said.
how much performance do you get out of that air filter. I wanna put k&n on mine just for a little boost because I have the same truck v6 and its slow af lmao
You all probably have no idea how incredibly lucky you are. Having a 2wd dakota, you have a solid frt axle, and coil overs, correct? To lift your trucks Suspensions is cheap and easy. Yes, extended shocks in back with blocks and u bolts, hockey pucks in front. And can obtain even more height with a spindle lift. That's expensive though. My dakota is 4wd and a 2004 😠 IFS For the 04 4x4 to be lifted, torsion keys is it. Or a body lift. Parts roughly $350. with gap guards, steering ext. included. To install takes 8 hours avg, depending. @ $135. Plus per hour 😢 Freaking out
Mind me asking why lift a 2wd? Why not just sell the truck add a few bucks to it and buy a 4x4? They sit the same height as this and you have4x4... But nice truck anyways
Josh , Im fixing to do my 2wd lift , I paid cash for a Old Dakota, I live in a Area we do not get much snow , I use the Truck Solo for hunting , Not off roading , I want the Lift to see into the woods with a 10 inch undercarriage getting 12 inch under plus the body lift I will be as high as my Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 , But I do not use it for hunting . In the woods it gets abused by trees . as for the Dakota Tree limbs can beat it to death , I ride a Motorcycle year round the Wife uses the Ram for work . but you can't use the bike in the woods . Having a 4x4 Dakota would be nice , but I picked up the 2wd for nothing , the guys wife hit a deer the front end is shot needs fender grill hood . I have everything I need on my ebay to fix it 1500 $ I got the Truck for less. have under 2 grand into a 2wd that will do just as well as a 4x4 in this area . Michigan or some place up north ya 4x4 is the way to go .
Awesome video. I have a 2000 Dakota 2wd auto forest green. Been searching for some ideas. Thanks
very beautiful one machine.
congratulations.
Damn. That sounds nice for a v6
dose anybody have ideas on loosening body or frame bolt rubber keeps spinning ?
It's been so long now since this video was made, you all probably have brand new Rubicons 😋
trying to install bull bar,
Where did you buy the body lift from and about how much?
how did you do that exhaust straight back with no cats?
that sounds pretty sick bro i got an 03 and is straight pipe thing is freaking annoying loud lmao
where did you find the lift
what are the dimensions of the A/Ts?

what kinda rims are those?
Did you have to extend the steering wheel? For the lift.
So are they 32 9.50 17 or 32 11.50 17?
how wider are your rims?
Did the kit come with step by step instructions for the dakota or was it just simple instructions that really didnt help?
I like what you've done to the truck. I was wondering where you picked up that bull bar?
They are on ebay
did you put a Suspension lift on it or did you just lift the body up im looking to put a 3'' suspension lift kit on my truck was just wondering where i could find on
Did u ever complete your lift project?
i will try to do my dodge the same way i have 3.9 dodge dakota v6 magnum 2wd but its not sports
With those tires what kind of gas mileage do you get?
Since you did the body lift did you have to get new shocks/struts? Or is that only for suspension lifts?
I didn't have to replace any additional parts. Everything to install and have it running was included in the kit.
Hey dude, how did you wire your halos up?
I spliced in to the driving lights, but once I get some extra time I am going to wire them to the fuse box and have them as running lights.
***** What Bull Bar is it
How well do u like the lift on the truck? I got a 1999 dodge Dakota sport 3.9v6 2wd and was thing about doing that to mine.
I love it. Lets me fit 32" tires on there without rubbing, and now sits higher than my neighbors F150 XLT >:D

+Kyle Parker that's cool as hell bro least I know I can do a 360 swap if I want to

Ryan Lehr no measurable difference. Get a 5.9 and swap it like me
You need to put som elect fans now that you removed the fan shroud. It won't cool yur coolant and you will have problems
