Say what you will, my 3.9 has more torque with the spacer when it goes into that ridiculous overdrive. It doesn't bog like stock, I'm not saying it's gaining incredible numbers but with the slight increase in air volume it did make a difference.
Just go to the nearest junk yard and get a v8 throttle body for your 3.9 v6. The v6 throttle has a bore of 40mm and the v8 is 48mm. Everything is the same on both throttles. I would however keep your old throttle store it in a safe place for emission reasons. Haven't smogged mine yet with the v8 throttle on so can't say if it will pass or not. Anyway, v8 throttle plus your airrade spacer =quicker take off.
So did you feel a power difference. I did one in my 02 jeep with a 4.0 back in the day and I felt a difference on a totally stock truck. I did install one on my new 2012 f150 and I can't say I feel or hear any difference.
I put a flowmaster 40 series on my truck and dumped it right after the exhaust muffler, the truck is loud but i've gained power on the bottom and mid, now the truck picks up alot quicker, exhaust will do alot for these little engines, i wonder how these spacers would work in conjunction with intake and exhaust done right.?
I had a 97 dakota years ago with full bolt ons, along with a throttle body spacer. I also ran flowmaster 40 series exhaust. The throttle body spacer made a whistle, that's really all I got from it. I would save your money on something else, if you haven't done the throttle body swap from a 5.2L then you should def do that.
+CamaroWarrior There's a lot of videos on youtube that claims they gain a few hp from it. I don't know who to believe, your comments or the videos. Who knows how it works. But on youtube I've heard more positives than negatives about it than on the forums with no dyno tests. Maybe it adds in a bit more back pressure. Kind of like what headers do. We all know long tubes are the way to go since the bigger pipes build more pressure in the chamber before getting released into back pressure. Maybe the same rule of thumb may exist with long tube intakes ROTFLMAO
The design on the inside of the spacer where the air passes through is supposed to change the direction of airflow to increase air velocity and fuel atomization. Which means it helps get the fuel into more of a fine mist before it gets into the motor. The more atomized a fuel is the more power you get from it as well as better gas mileage I suppose
if there isn't a dyno somewhere in the video....... wellllllllll. who knows. Alot of the comments mean nothing. IF MANUFACTURERS DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD DO TO THE CARS THEY SALE WE'D ALL HAVE 1000 HP 1000 LB 20 speakers 32 way seats.. corkscrew designs in every air passage and yes massive precisely engineered throttle bodies that have MORE VOLUME and better flow control etc. which is why there is a such thing as an aftermarket. if you think your cruze is engineered to give you maximum performance you're the so called FUCKTARD.. truth is there are small incremental gains to be had every where in your average cheap ass car. TEST TUNE THEN TALK. Not that I believe on way or the other because I haven't done that myself.
True , unless there is performance test data ,such as a dyno, there is no way of knowing if it is a complete waist of money. A review with no real test data is a worthless review.

Im just looking for that supercharger sound thats all i want.
Don't worry, your transmission will do that for you in time!

Does this work on my 96 dakota same engine
I’m putting shorty headers a tuner and duel intake on my 04 Dakota with that 4.7 magnum in it lol
You should consider a ECU tune.
so, if you change the throttle body, would it add more HP and have a p71-like air suction??
What do you mean by P71 air like suction?

do u have the 5.9 for 4.7 throttle on there
Ivan Castillo which v8 throttle bodys fit the 3.9 v6? Is it the 5.7 throttle or 4.7 or 5.2?
yes and add spacer too...because higher volume air intake from larger tb needs larger intake area volume
Are these sensors all the same?
Yes all sensors the same for the 5.9 throttle body vs 3.9 but you'll need to bring over the v8 throttle cable too
Installed mine today and it whistles and not in a good way, it almost sounds like a squeaky belt, so not cool!!! But I do feel a difference
did any body notice mpg increase with the addition of the TB spacers?
Yes indeed using it on ford and doge for years it works torque improvement too. The only drawback is yes the whistle it makes but they do work.
I’m about to put this and a dual chamber total flow on my 3.9 dakota ! So you like the throttle body spacer ? More power and mpg ?

With cold air intake free flow ehaust and a computer chip and a spacer all work very VERY well together.
all I heard was the whine from that terrible dodge transmission.
Oh really? Lol
Cody Ceynar LMAO. Sounds like a garbage truck lol
Cody Ceynar I bet you drive a ridge line
A new throttle BODY and throttle body SPACER was swapped out
Get some Harland Sharp 1.7 ratio rockers.
that thing does NOTHING! ...think about it, how is that giving u up to 10hp more? ALL THAT IS, IS A SPACER! NOTHING MORE!

If anything it's going to help low end torque it's not going to change a whole lot but it will help.
10 hp no more like 2 or 3 but it does add more torque
Took mine off and lost 3.5 miles to the gallon. Lost power too. These things work
Yeah, careful, you will be twisting drive shafts out.

i think it hit 60
Sadly the manifold is so poorly designed that no matter what you put on it, it won't help and power is all in @4000 rpm.
When you consider how the manifold is designed, there's no way that thing would help.
