- Olga left her small Russian village at the age of 14 to join the travelling circus, and at 16 was brought to America to perform in the Ringling Circus' Greatest Show On Earth! Used to watch Olga's videos a lot, and I'd kind of forgotten how interesting she is as a person.
FergusPateman this is the first I've heard of her, but she seems to have had a really cool life
I never watched her channel but I know I've seen her collab with other people but I can't quite place it. It's bugging me.
Watched her around the time she collabed with Jacksfilms and Tobuscus. Must've been like 5 or 6 years ago now :0

Well the guy's not wrong, he doesn't seem to have an issue with carnival itself, just the treatment of the animals involved. Seems harsh to use that quote in this context.

Justo Lanuse If someone specifically asked, probably, but he's so humble I doubt he would just start talking about it out of nowhere.
I think he was trying to explain that he was not someone with a news channel or the likes. Many people would respond differently to a reporter for a main news network than they would a youtuber regardless of prestige or scope.
Burnie doesn't like explaining his job to everybody all the time, that is why he probably just says TH-camr.
He also isn't the bragging type.

Except talented. It was weird that I read it as she was walking and juggling and couldn't put my finger on who she sounded like. One in maybe 20 words has a Slavic twang, the rest just sounds like Meg.

EchoMarauder Highly recommend Rhett and Link's Earbiscuit podcast with her (it can be found on iTunes or SoundCloud). It's an hour long but really interesting and they go very deep about her past.
I love that Burnie took the time to spread that message, even if he may not necessarily agree with it by attending these shows.
That initial drone shot with the coffee, bag, and camera was fantastic!
That's a crazy life story. There's the thing in cartoons and movies where kids run away and join the circus, but to hear such a story in real life is mindblowing.
That look Bernie gives the camera at 10:04 when she says she was 17 and didn't sleep with anyone is priceless!
this format for interview is kinda amazing. I think the juggling just really did it for me it was amazing. This could be such a new and cool format unless someone is already doing it, interview + vlog

I love Olga so so much. She was one of the first TH-camrs I watched way back when. I have so much nostalgia for that time of TH-cam, but I'm glad that it's evolved enough to see a video of Burnie and Olga together. ❤️

Olga has always been super inspiring to me! I started watching her videos a few years after started making them and at some point I learned that she juggled, which inspired me to learn how to juggle and now juggling is one of my favorite things to do

I could smell the breakfast in this video. This was super interesting, props to Olga for sharing!
She is brilliant. Listening to her talk about just doing things, despite having no skills related to those things in the beginning (Jugging, TH-cam) is super motivating.
I really loved how Burnie placed the camera while they had breakfast, it felt like we were part of the conversation, a bit like what they tried to do with the binaural mic
This is the most I've ever been interested in Olga. That breakfast talk was the most humanizing way to learn about a person. I want a series of Bernie talking to people over breakfast.

I went to a ringling bros circus when I was a little kid, one of the coolest things i've ever seen! Got my book signed by all the clowns!
This was honestly one of the coolest vlogs to date! Hearing Olga's story is really cool!

Wow, I used to watch Olga's vids all the time, back when I was really into vloggers like 5 years ago. I used to watch Olgakay, Shane, the Shaytards, NigaHiga, etc.
I can't remember the last time I've seen a video from any of those guys, I mostly just stick to the gaming side of youtube now.
I'm glad to know Olga is doing well, I've always liked her the most.
Shaytards are still going on, my niece randomly came across then on TH-cam kids. It was a weird trip down nostalgia lane.
i dont throw around complements much and especially not to rooster teeth but that interview part at the end felt really well done, the camera was framed up in this way that felt involved unlike most vlogs where its framed uncomfortably close to the speaker this just felt like i could be sat listening to them talk.
its that same feel you get whilst watching 360 vlogs you just feel the presence of being there.

I think it's the word "TH-camr" that he has a problem with, which he absolutely didn't call himself in the video. Saying he's filming for his TH-cam channel is completely different and totally accurate.
I loved how Burnie got awesome connections.

Wow, that was really interesting and fun to watch.
I actually rode an elephant at a RB show when I was, I wanna say 6 in Minnesota. I don't remember much of it but I kept a little stuffed elephant that they gave me for several years.
While juggling food, "Let's get some food." hahaha ironic...

That was a sad day for my father and grandmother because they were performers for Ringling, my father was trapezes and my grandmother was the big cat trainer and we didn't go to the show because my father didn't want to see because it would have been too hard on him to see something that was a part of his life end. Almost everything we watch the movie The Greatest Show on Earth, he would talk about each person in the movie that were actually performers they actually knew very well like Emmet Kelly and tell us stories about them and they were as people and my grandmother last time I visited talked about her stories and the stories of her mother. It's sad to see something that impacted my family so much, disappear.
I never watch these kind of videos but this one was a good watch :G

I'm honestly really enjoying Burnie's vlogs at the moment. Something about the editing style (very reminiscent of Casey Neistat's videos with the jerky angles and unconventional framing) seems so visually appealing and just the content in general being really engaging and different. I always look forward to watching these (p.s. does anybody else think that Burnie would be perfect as a University professor one day or is that just me?)

God Burnie was 15 minutes from my hometown at nvmc! I wish I could've met him.
Not knocking the protester's cause, but I am curious why they were protesting the LAST show. I mean... they won. The circus is ending. Is it like a victory lap?
I suppose they're protesting these sort of shows in general, and the last show of this particular circus creates good publicity.
Jack Carlson you could argue that but the tigers for example are being shipped to a German circus so they are not getting to retire.
Having supported this kind of cause I can tell you that people were worried that this closure would seem like a victory and that other remaining causes might be forgotten. It was a way of showing other organisations what public pressure can do, and also a way of reminding people that this is only a victory for this particular set of animals. Unless the pressure stays, the animals will just end up in another, possibly smaller crappier circus under similar (or worse conditions).
Pretty sure people protest the circus every day.

pennypals15 I agree with you, but then it struck me that I should maybe change that to "exotic" animals. Seeing the horse and dogs acts made me think "hmmm I'm weirdly okay with this" because like the protester said it's sad that animals don't get to go home to loving families like human performers can. Well surely those dogs and horses have loving owners that provide for them just like any other owners of horse and dogs would? I'm interested to hear what you think.
It's sad that that circus ended. ...the protester part, um interesting, but hey Burnie is a nice guy and lets others voice their opinions. :D That looks awesome (the circus stuff). As usual, this was a cool vlog with amazing filming skills by Burnie.
I personally don't agree with the protester but it's nice to see people with different points of views without being aggressive or hateful.
