I think they are building all NEW TRAINS entirely ! Because “Ryan the Ride Mechanic” said he thought the current ones had too weak a spine for the forces on them.
I noticed that the trains were off the track on Sunday. also that "welding tent" was gone. construction walls for Siren's Curse are up. no track is over next to Express Hotel but I did notice 2 large pieces of something peeking up over a wall at the Amazement Shop. I know they weren't there 2 weeks ago on my last visit but it's hard to tell if they belong to the new coaster or something else. one of the pieces looks like it could be track shaped and covered in a blue shrink wrap and the other thing is a very large circular shape. I couldn't take any pictures while driving past and I think it might be a faux pas to pull in the parking lot and start snapping pictures
Definitely new trains. They thought aluminum was a good idea but when it comes to the strength and durability needed for this ride, nothing can beat stainless steel.
Carbon fiber would be better and lighter. Some kind of composite of the two to really reduce the unspring weight. But it's a question of how much cedar point is willing to spend and also how much know-how zemperla has.
I was there on friday, and I was REALLY confused because I couldnt see the black and blue trains, and only the silver seat covers were visible. This explains a lot for me.
So you had a crazy picture here, I did land surveying for 10 years. many jobs along railroads. How we measured things was along the middle of the tracks. That instrument was setup like that. Something is being measured along the spike track. AND that’s a lot of work to put an instrument on plate on the track like that. Is the tower OK?
@ghostercoasters, I think they didn't remove the silver train too, is so after park closes, they can run/test more 'proposed' possible 'fixes' /mods too see how they work out. New trains probably should have smaller main wheels and lower seating to lower the center of gravity! && beefier wheel boogies! [ ref. Falcon's Flight Intimin train's boogies!] ??Maybe some track supports to stabilize the track from moving/shaking sideways ? TTD2Ron4695 (46 are tt2's)
The trains we had are gone for good..They will look the same. but the trains will be 100% different and new. Odds are if the trains couldn't be fixed over the summer they threw in the towel ..My question would be what's the relationship between the 2 companies now..Are they shoot the rapids intiman bad or
it seems like a track blending issue causing damage to the trains. They have a tone of devices out to see the grade of the track and its overall straightness. A slight difference in the track could cause excessive force on the trains causing them to break
Regardless of what Zamperla is doing in regards to the trains , I still feel this ride was an epic fail. It’s obvious their initial ideas of reimagining the ride was too much assumption and not engineered and designed properly at the drawing board .
They should replace the trains and the lsm track with Mack rides lsm and trains. Which should make it more reliable because parks seem to do great with these launch rides
My guess would be new trains. Because in addition to what everyone else has said, it was noted that these trains were a lot less compact than the previous trains, which created a lot more weight farther from the track, which is probably causing a excessive wear and tear
I heard from a friend that works there that new or revision of trains and possibly new top hat from the turns and up since the turn is making to many g’s on these trains. I’m wondering if they could retrofit the old trains from top thrill 1 and improve safety to make it work on the new version tt2. But in the end I see them having to redo more of the track as well as supporting beams. Not including train work. I think Cedar Point got one foot in the hole and will just keep throwing money at this til the park closes since it’s co-owned and ran with six flags.
new trains, these trains will probably end up on a much slower ride, its not a total loss for Zamperla. I dont see any track modifications, if they do anything about the forces I would expect a trim break either at the tophat or right after the crest. My guess is they wont have to do either as the new trains will likely be able to handle it.
Honestly. I just sit and wonder, what in the actual fuck happened to this coaster. Like I wanna know what they noticed to where they thought like, “we can’t open this shit again”. Cedar Point aint said anything but something with the trains.
Ok. Brand new trains coming. They haven't said anything. I still think Zamperla should be sued. Wouldn't surprise of TT2 doesn't open next season. Get rid of it. The ride sucks anyways.
According to Tony Clarke, TT2 will be open next year. Yes, he used the word "will". It was in WFMJ's youtube vid "Siren's Curse tilt coaster opening in 2025". TT2 will be amazing.

Stainless would be heavy as hell
Yes but sturdy @@terryheck9507
When it finally opens they are gonna re name it the big mike experiment

I feel like since they’re working w vekoma now, we could see them stepping in to help with the TT2 laucnh issues

New Trains from Intamin. Because hopefully Cedar Flags had done Fired Zamperla!!🤣

Wouldnt mind that lol

No way it took them this long to NOT get new trains
I think they spent the time until the closed for the season announcement trying to fix the trains and then have been working on new trains since then.
I agree with everyone who suggested new trains. I am wondering will they modify the top hat track, given the age?

@@eddieholt8222 Also according to Tony Clark, TT2 wouldn't be closed all summer. Sooooo.....
@@joesmith6972 Tony said he didn't foresee it being closed all summer. the different wording indicates different levels of certainty.
The logical thing is brand new trains. The more logical thing is also replacing the old track. Do it the right way, get away from Zamperla
it's an episode of "Seinfeld"....trains will be replaced, as well as track, it's why you have Sirens Curse!
😂😂 im so excited dor sirens curse
