Gotta say this: I absolutely love the crisp, precise and tight sound of your mixdown with bass and snare drum!
This is what my neighbors hear at night for about 12 seconds.
I actually designed one of these back in 1989 as part of my design class in high school. I made the pattern for the body and had it cast in aluminium.
Only difference was mine didn't have a clutch to disengage the second arm.

I lost my leg in a car crash and this gives me hope that I can get back into drumming with something like this to assist me. Unfortunately it was my dominant leg that I lost so idk how easy it will be but I'm gonna try.

It’s not easy… the heel pedal on the Sonor Giant Step twin effect pedals take a kinda weird movement to hit them, when I first got them I thought it would be easy, like doing a cramp roll in tap dancing lol (my wife’s a dance teacher) but it’s more like you have to hit the heel first THEN the toe. At least for me.

Already done with the actual world's first pedal of that kind, which is the Sonor Giant Step Twin Effect. Videos on TH-cam.
This is a great ad for that pedal when other TH-cam drummers have really struggled with it

So I remember when SONOR came out with those heel/toe double function bass pedals and I feel like I only saw like maybe the two Thomas’s use them (Pridgen and Lang lol) but this….. this seems…learnable. Much more practical having the foot switches toggle between the modes. Love that.

The Giant Step Twin Effect also had a feature this pedal doesn't have. Because of how this pedal works, you can't have it on double mode and only do one beater, as the second beater goes when you lift your foot.
When every drum session absolutely has to sound like a Slayer song.

none of them are metal drummers (RdavidR said he played in a metal band in his young, but his style hardly works for actual metal today) so i can see why this didn't appeal to them per se.
I thinks it's more that ElEstepario has solid heel toe technique, meaning the feel of a second stroke on the pedal upstroke is natural to him, so it likely wasn't too had of a stretch to make it sound decent.
It's also not the first pedal of that kind. That award goes to the now discontinued Sonor Giant Step Twin Effect.

I also saw this pedal 10 years ago and remember it as being a simpler version of the Giant Step Twin Effect, which had separate pedals for both beaters.
@@BrunodeSouzaLino yes I remember that too. It was a different pedal. It had a beater for the foot and a beater for the heel. Dualist always has had a dual spring system with the foot switching on off switch.
When I first saw the Sonar Giant Step, I thought “wow! This is insane!.” This pedal blows that one out of the water! Imagine the crazy shit you can do if you had a double bass drum setup. 😅

Man you might not realize it but with you inventing the pedal with a switch makes it so drumming can be accessible for some people who are disabled. Like a drummer with one leg for example who loves metal, would normally not be able to use both pedals but now with the switch pedal it can be done. Bravo man!!! You need to get this patented and find some investors.

I just realized I didn’t comment on the triple base pedal. I’ve been looking for one of those things for so many years. Even when they were new I could never find one. I’m already really fast with a double pedal, though not as fast as you, I wanted to give it a try. You must have the last one ever. Haha
