    I think Taylor Landfair is Huskers 'X' factor. Liv Mauch is an excellent player. These additions will get them across the finish line this year.

    I love Taylor Landfair but I wish she was more consistent so John Cook doesn’t have to second guess his OH #2. EITHER WAY Landfair always gets the job done when it matters so she’s still more than capable in my eyes!

    Jackson is unstoppable. And the 'bic' attack when they run Jackson on the backslide is an amazing play (with either Beason or Murray)

    Good job ladies and wow Merrit has 9 kills hitting .643 efficiency and no hitting errors ❤

    A lot of the Husker hitting errors are from hitting too far around the backline and side lines. They’re obviously working on using the peripheral areas of the court more. That will be very important during the tournament. So, the game wasn’t as sloppy as people think. If you aren’t working to diversify and improve your game throughout the season, you stagnate. And this is exactly the team you “practice” that against.

      I have to agree. While this wasn't the Neb that we saw at the Wisconsin game, it looks like they took advantage of this match-up as a bigger scale practice. I noticed the sets from Bergen were off, but it looked related to speed. That, for me, made it feel sloppy until I thought that they might be trying to run an even faster offense to prepare for Penn St./the postseason

      @@kycone the block wasn't really that big either which makes those bad errors. A block like Wisconsin's, sure, we can give a few. Not with Northwestern.

      @@marinah9167yeah agree. I imagine there was a little exhaustion there from the late game to early game that didn’t help much with their energy for that, either.

    Even if and when Landfair underperforms, I think it’s the good choice to leave her in. She’ll build confidence and be ready for post season.

      @liampotatoe23 - my question is... why does Allick get more reps than Layla B? When Layla filled in for Andi, I didn't think Allick was as good as Layla.

      @@michaelallen1154you aren’t seeing Allick’s talents properly. Allick is faster blocking by far. That’s why she plays against the better, faster opponents. Also, she’s way, way better at recovering out of system balls. This is stuff that’s SUPER important but gets overlooked as a skill. Rebekah is better as an entire player.

    Landfair doesn't get confidence when she plays for Nebraska .Her style and nature doesn't suit the agressive style of Nebraska team.But i love to watch her beauty of play and gentleness in the court.

    • @miaphillips2490
      @miaphillips2490 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed, she needs to get more confident. There’s a lot left this season and she has next year!

    • @kycone
      @kycone 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Disagree. The coaching staff has been working to make her more aggressive all season and it’s been working. She wants to play pro. She’ll never succeed at the next level by letting blocks bother her or resorting to tipping. Jordan Larson told her to keep swinging, she did and she improved (that was during Wisconsin). Beyond that, I trust what she has to say about her experience at Nebraska. Which is definitely different than your opinion on it.

      @@kycone She is a gifted player with height and style, when she became more and more agressive certainly she will loose her original style. Any way if she just wanted to be a good professional she may need to change accordingly.

      @@crissanchez3639 I don't believe that to be a very good mindset. Allows for inconsistence. As the Huskers say, every match is the championship match... not hitting the gas because there is 'no reason' does not align with the team's season intentions.

      @crissanchez3639 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ Yeah but what they want to do and what actually happens are two different things. The coaching staff is not going to be happy with that performance. I was trying to explain it more than excuse it. Did you catch the first round of the tournament last year, the game against LIU? Pretty much same thing happened there. That was also an ugly win. There was never a moment of panic or uncertainty and no intensity. At the same time they were consistently up 5 or more. I think that was why the bench was used more. I mean what can do you do as a coach when you want your team to play with intensity but the opposition can’t fight? This was an already weak Northwestern with injuries. I think they just have to move on, take the as expected win and focus on Oregon.
