I'm totally with you about not being a fan of the original. There are so many songs that Dan has covered that I really didn't care for the originals, but with his takes on them, I have enjoyed so much: this one (My Heart Will Go On), Poker Face, I'll Make a Man Out of You, Kiss From a Rose, etc...

I’m so happy you got to this one so quickly-I’ve been watching for you to post. It’s kind of interesting that you named off three vocalists that I don’t want to hear, either. I never saw Titanic, I mean, I already knew what was going to happen in the end, so I only knew the intro (I randomly chose it as my daughter’s ringtone without knowing anything about it). Because I didn’t know the song, I had to listen a few times to catch the lyrics, but I was loving the musicality of it from the first note. Dan posted hints of what the song would be as they recorded it and indicated what he thought would physically happen to the listeners when they heard it. That was a trip in and of itself!
