Sadly Gary beat Dan at the race to one million subscribers 6 days ago.😔 It was such a close race too. As of today, Dan is less than 24k away from one million.
And the silver lining…. apparently we get a new song from Dan. It doesn’t even matter that it’s a silly song calling Dan & his man bun ‘gay’. Dan will ROCK IT!💪 Dan is always #1 in our hearts anyway, and we must be humble and have grace, as Dan did…. and congratulate Gary. I love this to an insane degree - the most gorgeous, versatile, and powerful voice on the planet, lots of smiles, tons of energy (I thought that Dan was going to pop out of his skin at a few points), fabulous guitar work, and,as you say, not really a cover but a total reimagining. Kudos to Dan and @GabrielBelozi for the epic arrangement. Thank you for sharing your thoughts,and for the gracious words about Celine. Dan Vasc is super skilled and turned an iconic song into something completely different yet, like you said, doesn't lose the original feel of it. Dan is a visionary musician and of course singer. Garret was amazing on guitar!! After a while, I couldn't stand to hear the original version, as legendary as Celine is, not my style, but now, this version may be my new favorite!!
