Well crossed legs is 0.1, so 9.9 is max possible since she always has crossed legs on dismount. They should have taken 0.1 on switch ring for lack of back arch/head release as well. What they took was 0.1 for crossed legs and 0.1 for < 180 on switch split 1/2. It's very clearly off from judge's angle (You can see in video titled: "Nastia Liukin BB PAC 2008"
Seeing Peng here made me sad😢I know she was happy at UCLA, but now she’s done with even that. I wish she could’ve gone to an Olympics because she is so incredibly talented and sweet.💖
@@mht4908She went to the Test Event to help Canada qualify for one of the 4 remaining team spots for the Olympics. At Canadian Nationals that year, she injured herself during podium training on the vault and pull herself from consideration for the Canadian Olympic Team. She was never able to make her Olympic dream come true. 2018 NCAAs was her Olympics.

WHAT A GREAT MEET! Loved seeing the younger kids like Peng-Peng Lee of Canada, Rebecca Bross of USA. I’m not familiar with Darlene Hill so it was great 👍 to learn about her story. Really enjoyed watching this competition. Thank you.
A lot of these juniors on the Canadian team are the ones who made the team. And one of the juniors on US team, Rebecca Bross was one of the contenders for London.
@@MeriPT she had a lot of injuries and had to stop doing elite gymnastics but she competed for Stanford instead after. She actually follows me on Instagram LOL
Wow seeing this makes me glad that the FIG brought the skill count down to 8, though I think it needs to go down to 6 (for both WAG and MAG). It is just so brutal on the gymnasts, especially the men, and with 6, there would be more emphasis on execution.
Yes. Sadly a broken femur in 2009 and never reached her full potential. I think many would argue that she is more talented than Aliya but sadly it was not to be :(
+Kae Kae Jones it was under a different code of points, they used to count 10 elements, now they only count 8 so the scores all dropped (normally by somewhere around 0.6)
Um, did Elfi just insult Jana by saying that she is like a dude on the uneven bars? I still don't like Elfi. No matter how many times I LISTEN to her commentating, and try to feet over it, its annoying.
Peng Peng is ADORABLE in this competition. Junior Peng Peng, so cute!
Nastia's beam was SPLENDID.
Her whole competition was splendid actually. Her beam was perfection
Nastia’s beam at this event was one of the most well executed routines I have ever seen. Should have been at least a 9.95 execution.
Well crossed legs is 0.1, so 9.9 is max possible since she always has crossed legs on dismount.

She was the best!
Seeing Peng here made me sad😢I know she was happy at UCLA, but now she’s done with even that. I wish she could’ve gone to an Olympics because she is so incredibly talented and sweet.💖
She did go to London
Boxer 2000 she also was going to try for Rio but she tore her acl i think

So sad that we didn't get to see more of Peng Peng Lee. I really really like her!
Dasha Joura has the cutest salute yet! I miss Joura!
Thank you so much! this is one of my favorite meets ever
Wow Tim has no corrections for a routine (Nastia's beam) that's a first
It's actually really funny that Alana Slater went back to the Olympics for rifle shooting lol
Wait, what?! Did she medal?
After years of commentating, Al still has no idea what’s going on lol
Are you surprised? None of them had a clue lol.
Al. is how I learned sports....I love n miss Al.

Nastia’s beam!!! Absolute perfection! 😅
Funny to think they described Nastia as the best gymnast in the room… and then see her win AA gold in Beijing. Such a legend.
They showed Komova for a couple of seconds!! Crazy to think Komova was watching Nastia on this day.
I just noticed that, wow! So many future Olympians that were there at this!
Dasha Joura is amazing and theatrical.
Rebecca is so cute as a junior. But one thing that I noticed. Even at 14, Rebecca has "The Terminator" Look
True😂
Her look is so ugly even Nastias, ugly no expression🤨☹
Jana had a really cool mount. It was so cool. A jump to handstand on low bar! Not the hardest, but for 2008? It was great and it impressed me.
Amy chow competed it
Lol I love Nastis she is a true Russian, she even brought her тапочки to a competition lmao
Bare Mac what is that?
Russia's team: Senior - Lyudmila (Ezhova) Grbenkova, Anna Myzdrikova, Alena Zmeu; Junior - Viktoria Komova, Violetta Malikova, Nailiya Mustafina
China's team: Senior - Huang Qiushuang, Tian Mengsi, Zhang Xin; Junior - Cui Jie, Guan Wenli, Huang Ying
In what world is that Viktoria Komova?
62.850 nastia liukin all around score wow

2:01 Aliya Mustafinas sister, Nailya Mustafina

I reeeeeaaaaaaally like Sam Shapiro's gymnastics! Really wish she could have continued her elite gymnastics career. (:
cristi0771 what happened to her? I tried to look it up, but couldn’t find anything

My goodness, I love Sam Shapiro's bar routine!
Is Naliya Mustafina Aliya Mustafina's younger sister?
Yes. Sadly a broken femur in 2009 and never reached her full potential. I think many would argue that she is more talented than Aliya but sadly it was not to be :(
Nastia’s routines
Vault 16:45
Bars 31:05
Beam 41:54
Floor 55:05
I love Nailya Mustafina!!! She is soooo cute!!
Musty94Komova is she the little teeny one?
I love Nastia
Nastia gets a mega whopping 16.650 on a brilliant bar set.
Baby Peng Peng Lee . . . makes me sad when Elfi said she was being groomed for 2012!!
Nastia missed the pass where she lands backwards, her ankle probably bothered her.
Does anyone know who the 11 year old at 2:01 is?
Daria Joura used the same floor music that Victoria Moors used. I preferred Moors' floor routine personally.
A última menina no solo, perfeita mesmo sem música, porque o importante foi o brilho dela 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
NAILYA WAS SO TINY
Dasha's beam amazing.
Amazing floor routine from Sam!
Lauren Mitchell looks so young here!
Brit Greely: ADORABLE!
Kristina!!
I LOVE Brit Greeley's floor music!!!
Oh how I wish Tim would focus on the positive for more a nanosecond.
I wish Jana had made the team instead of Bridget Sloan
it seems as when anytime someone sticks a dismount Elfie And Tim Seem to always say "She's Tough"
I notice pd that as well!!!!
Why wasn’t Shawn there?
They didn’t show any Russian routines...?
13:40 soooo adorable!!!
For a 14 year old like Em little, I thought a 14.450 was a good score!
same, nowadays it would be like a 13.85
I know right
+Kae Kae Jones it was under a different code of points, they used to count 10 elements, now they only count 8 so the scores all dropped (normally by somewhere around 0.6)
Baby Peng Peng!
Shawn said to the team take care of my light work while I stay back home and chill!! lol
Linebacker!
Worst switch ring ever 39:10
Lol, 7 years later and I laughed my ass off
What the? Al knows nothing about gymnastics. 13.950, even back in '08 is not ok! Sometimes I get sick of that guy......
41:40 this is what i came 4 ❤
I know they predicted big things for Samantha Shapiro, does anyone know if that ever happened?
I think she got injured which kept her out of competing for a long time
Ahem ahem. Um, did Al just call Valeri Valerie? As in the girl name?
I know it's so annoying, but he's not the only one, I've watched so many videos where different commentators have called her Valerie lol.
+kamila Ford him**
Califórnia gurls
no chinese routine

What?
Um, did Elfi just insult Jana by saying that she is like a dude on the uneven bars? I still don't like Elfi. No matter how many times I LISTEN to her commentating, and try to feet over it, its annoying.
i dont think thats an insult. thats a compliment actually because jana fly high like man's bar
@Star Tetrahedron - I so agree.
