I wished we were close by... I could do some panel work on that and get it back to perfect. Great pickup all the same. Congratulations!!! I'm on the hunt for one myself but I''m looking for the 7.
Thanks man ... I figured ... worst case scenario, I'd have to buy a new keybed for like $600 and come out with $1700 total ... which I would have been ok with still but I'm glad it played out this way :) :)
I bought mine in 2014 but after two years with very little use and without moving it from the place I put it in my house when I bought it it started to show some very serius problems. The touch buttons with the arrows only respond to up and down but when I try to go left or right they dont respond and this has made for the last three years my recordings impossible. I even spent allá the money in order to try to plug it to my iPad so I could make my recordings using garage band App but to make things worst the Yamaha motif xf sinthezisers seem to be about the only ones that need to be configured in order to be recignized by an iPad!!!! Therefore by not being able to move left or right on my screen I was never able to get my iPad to recognize my motif. I am frustrated and very dissappointed with this sinthesizer and I wiuld not recommend it to anyone.
Hey David! thanks for watching! I had a problem a while back where mine wasn't making sound either. It turned out to be the power board ... I had to take it to get replaced. The keyboard would turn on and the buttons worked, shoot Midi worked over ethernet, but the faders didn't work + no sound. If that's what you're experiencing it might be the power board.
@@johnimusic12 The power board i used to replace it was a: LDC60F2. The sound wasn't actually broken. The power board gives 2 sets of voltages: one for the buttons and another for the sound generator ... one of those sets (the one that goes to the sound generator) was broken so all the buttons worked but not the actual sound. It was weird. Otherwise, honestly i'm not sure exactly which board deals with sound.
@@JDMusiq my motif is making a cracking noise when I play it in the mono output and the headphone jack and now two keys won't play when I touch it sometimes they play but the sound is late. What do you think is the problem?
just be thankful and don't make anyone feel like an idiot for giving it away to you, the seller is probably happy for you.

My Yamaha motif xs8 goes on but does not boot up, it just freezes after a fee seconds. Does anyone perhaps know what could be the problem?
May be the motherboard. Mine has similar issue. Goes all the way to home screen. No sound no faders or buttons responding
My Yamaha Motif XF8 changes voices on its own. Any help or fix suggestions, I would appreciate thanks.
Probably the button that changes voices is the problem
My Motif XF8 is not bringing out sound. Please what could be the problems and how can I fix it.

JD Musiq Thanks.
@@JDMusiq do you remember which board inside it was which generates sound?
