You need to clean the inside of the injector. With the power on and the hopper door open, push the inject button at the same time unplug so you can access the very back of the spoon/injector. You most likely have dried hard as a brick tobacco stuck to the inner most part. Mine looked like bark. It took a knife to get it all off. Mine is back to making normal cigs. Hope this helps? During normal operation when tobacco is being injected, The tubing is let go for a split second that allows the cigarette to be pushed back to prevent tearing. Place your finger there to prevent cigarette from being pushed back. The tobacco will be pushed in more instead.
I know this is an old video, but I am pretty sure you need to replace the silicone grip at the tube injection outlet. Just get some silicone rubber tubing of the proper size and cut a new one when the old one wears out. If you don't have tubing at the moment, you can flip the old one over.

Every few months i take my powermatic 2 apart, just 4 screws and using compressed air i blow out all the dust and then spray wd-40 on the metal parts from there i use the air and a rag and blow the excess oil out. Wipe it all dry and put it back together. Works like new again. Also i take a jewelry half round file and sharpen the injector tip, also if the injector is bent or crushed in i use a 3/16 dowel pin and reshape back by squeezing with pliers with the dowel inside. Any questions please ask, these are just things i came up with.
I know you texted 2 years ago. I'm new to RYO and I've only made about 2000 cigarettes on my powermatic 3. Now it suddenly says jam. So I've used the hard bristle round brush and as far as I can see all the tobacco is out. But it still won't work. I'm not a person that knows how to take things apart. Are you saying to unscrew the 4 screws in the bottom of the machine? Will that allow me to see the injector? Please reply if you get this, or anyone else that can help me.
Did you solve it? I have the exact problem. Tobacco is not moist. Rubber that holds the tube is fine. I put my finger underneath the tube, to aid the pressure of the rubber. It still doesnt fill it completely. I'm out of answers :(
You must open and clean then grease it. If you desire it to last longer. Don’t push the tobacco when you fill the bin. It will pack itself so not too tight causing jams. Avoid over dry broken or dusted tobacco. Same reason too tight jams. You don’t want long end hold your fingers as it pushes spoon out very lightly. You would guide the process and helps it push further. No more bushy ends for you. P3 isn’t best but if you compare other machine either overly expensive or just more prong to issues. P2 has a weak plastic spoon join will break. P3 not sure didn’t take down to every bare parts. I prefer using gun grease less tacky. Good luck with your machine.
I have same problem...one thing I noticed was the rubber gasket holding the tube in place had worn out, releasing the cigarette prematurely....removed it and turned it around, and worked better, but still has problem...I notice the cigarette is too harsh when this happens...
Mine is doing the extra tobacco at the end and I'm only at 8,049. It better not be "breaking". I carefully wipe it down and give it just a small squirt of wd-40 on the moving parts before and after each use. They'll be replacing it if it is.
Can u update your issue with powermatic 3 issues? I had same issue but I switched tobacco I use ' the good stuff' that's the brand! Now my machine runs with no problem!!
I've had my powermatic 3 for over 2 years and are coming up on 51,000 cigs made--I take scissors and cut the tobacco up and also make sure your tobacco is dry and I don't have a problem--You don't want to cut it up too fine like dust but the pieces should be i/8" or so and you wont have a problem--I make 100's and I set mine on 4 or 5 and it works fine--

I have the same (with 69 000 cigarettes on it without any problems). I see on your video that there is a little part of paper who is missing at the end of the cigarettes. On mine It's because the little silicone tube who come on the cigarette to hold it is used (about +/- 20 000 cigarettes) and then cigarettes aren't full exactly like you ! If your tobacco is ok, that's probably your issue because the cigarettes are not hold correctly when injector push tobacco at the end of the cigarette. You can easily replace it and find tube like that in Radio control car shop for 1/10e car nitro. it's silicone tube for gazoline 😉

I'm not sure if I should try to take it apart.
If it was tobacco yes I did get it un jammed but unfortunately I had to buy a new one due to when I took it apart the shaft was jammed and bent, so the bestthing I can recommend is if you can buy another do so but call the manufacturer and see what you can do to have the old fixed because now I have 2 of them in case one goes down I have a backup to fill until the other was fixed.
Hi there. I live in Denmark, near the German border where tobacco is very cheap compared to Denmark. Every time im in Germany and do some shopping i bring back 1 kilo tobacco wich is the max amount i am allowed to take back across the border. So over some month i collect some kilos before i make cigarettes again. Btw, currently i have aprox 10 kilos, so next time i make cigarettes i think i will pass 10000 in one go😊

How did you get a knife in there? I've got a metat sharp stick that it came with and a stiff brush, but nothing has worked. Please help!

You can pull the injector out further after unplugging. It's really tough to stop it fully extended.

Your tobacco strands are too long & damp! I use dry tobacco! Try letting your tobacco dry then rub it between your hands to break it down!

Tobacco is too moist.
You must open and clean then grease it. If you desire it to last longer.
Don’t push the tobacco when you fill the bin. It will pack itself so not too tight causing jams.

I did have problems with this I Believed it is when you big chunks of the tobacco the machine has trouble through the tube correctly

I have had two of these one lasted 21000 and now the second one is done at 9000 no more for me they suck.
Have you tried to take it apart and check if there is a lot of fine tobacco dust inside the machine

Open the lid and press the button. It'll usually eject what's in there. Especially if you hold it down. It'll try to push it out a few times.
i had a few other machines. when they started to worn out, they did the same.
