I asked you all on Instagram to share your hidden gem makeup items, and there were so many submissions that I decided to make an entire drugstore version of the video! You should try revisiting your old monthly favorites from years back to see if they're still your favorites! I've been doing that for a few years and it's a fun way to rediscover old faves and shop my stash.

I use that Essence highlighter all over the face because Tati recommended it as a dupe (kind of) for the Hourglass ambient powder and I’m in LOVE! Seriously just blends all my makeup together and makes me look less makeup-y and just glowing in the best way.
btw you being satisfied with your collection and interested in making more videos using the products you have - id love to see more basic tutorials like your "how to look good in person" one bc i swear by it!! just a suggestion 💗
I second this. TH-cam tutorials are great, but most beautubers are only thinking of how it looks in photos/on film, and the vast majority of us want to look good to the people around us and just ourselves. For example, no matter what foundation I try (even with trying different application methods), it always looks like it's just sitting in my skin and looks so tacky in person, and I would love to learn tricks on how to change it
@@sorelyanlie2784 I have the same problem, you're absolutely right! I keep thinking it's my application techniques are wrong, or the combination of products don't work with others or from the same brand even. Plus I'm on a no buy this year, so these videos help.

it’s kinda one of those “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it,” things. if you have an eyeshadow palette that you LOVE and use all the time, don’t buy more. I think a lot of us are on that same journey, right now. love your videos and really appreciate you embracing that strategy!

Please do another video like this! These are some of my favorites. I would also love to see you focus more on tutorials and less on new launches. I love reviews, but it does get overwhelming to feel like you already need to buy the next new thing, without using up what you already have. If you know of a great cool-tinted eyeshadow pallette, I would love to hear about that. Something with greys, blues, and purples. It seems like everything leans so warm anymore. It's also love to see a video on how to develop an everyday routine that can just become a quick signature look for those days when we don't have time to play with new colors and techniques.

I love these kinds of videos! The hidden gems, your recommendations types of videos are awesome, I really don’t see this anywhere else (maybe I’m just not looking because I’m too busy watching your channel but who knows lol) but my absolute favorite videos you do are a face of nothing new!
Have you tried the Romand juicy lasting tint? It’s not like the traditional super watery lip tints, but very moisturizing and kinda glossy. The best thing about it is the price. Very affordable, like under 9 bucks! My favorite shades are Jujube and Figfig. You can apply a little then sheer it out or apply all over the lip for more bold look!
I love and prefer drugstore videos as I feel like the average consumer shops drugstore for their looks!
Walmart has a BEAUTIFUL make up section and super affordable!
They do & because of their new policies for the brands they've decided to go with regarding skincare beginning this year, I'm excited to try out some new & beneficial products!
Love *LOVE* the Shop your stash videos! I personally like knowing what you’ll tend to reach for, not just once on a review, but over and over. That’s the way the rest of us average consumers do makeup, and tends to encourage me to use what I already enjoy vs. feeling as though I need to get that “next hot thing”.

Essence Satin touch blush in Satin Love,
Cover girl Clean matte BB Cream (really is a medium coverage foundation),
Lypsyl Swedish lip balm,
Wet n Wild liquid eyeshadows (especially the shells and whistles shade),
NYX liquid glitter shadows are amazing Stila dupes but not a huge color selection,
Wet n Wild eyeshadow primer makes everything stick like a dream and I NEVER get creasing or fading on my oily eyelids.
Might be a dumb question, or my limited options in shopping in my rural area of Alaska, but where can I find the lip balm? Please & thank you!

The Clean Matte BB cream Is MY FAVE
I used to use that Shimmering Sands palette when I was in high school around 2005-2007.
Also back in the OG Beauty TH-cam days, Emily from EmilyNoel83/Beauty Broadcast used to talk about that palette all the time!

Allie! For your hands: Gold Bond Ultimate Overnight Skin Therapy lotion is THE BEST. I live in Colorado (similar climate to you) and it is the ONLY thing that keeps my hands moisturized and helps prevent the skin on my fingers from cracking. It’s in the white, blue & gold tube at any drugstore or most chain grocery stores!
I love the Covergirl Cheekers blush in Sophisticated Sable. The highlighter that comes w it is gorgeous!
Hi Allie the Covergirl eyelash primer does make your lashes bigger and better. I've used the same mascara with and without the primer huge difference with the covergirl primer
Omg I also use the Maybelline fit me foundation stick as contour and it's my favorite cream contour! Believe me I've tried plenty!
Hii! LOVE your videos and your kindness. One thing I would personally benefit from is seeing you dip into your product with the brush/sponge. Example: I have the NYX banana setting powder and tried it with a sponge and - holy wrongness- II don't think I did it correctly or had too much? But seeing you dip into the product and show us that would be helpful!!
I still have my shimmering sands eyeshadow from highschool 13 years ago. The taupe-y middle color made my brown eyes pop. ❤

Hi Allie! I'm the one who said the Revlon photoready primer! Sorry I wasn't 100% clear, they don't seem to have shade names so it's hard to say wich one. The light pink that you tried is somewhat okay... But you really have to try the darker pink one! It's the best. I used it on my boyfriend yesterday (he has big pores) and the primer worked beautifully! It erased all of His pores and he looked like another man! Definetly the best! Love you!! xx 💞💞💞

I agree completely! I love these "nothing new" videos for the highly budgeted folks like myself, but the "no brand " video she did took it to a whole other level that helped me tremendously in not feeling like I had to buy something new!

I would love to see “second impression” videos-where you try products that you have, especially those that we’re just okay on first use, using different techniques to see if you get a better result. I’ve noticed lately with cream products especially that it takes me a few tries to figure out the best application method and order (some look better when I apply highlight first, for example, or some can be applied over powder while others can’t). In the spirit of using what you already have, I think it would be fun to see that process!
I am with you as far as wanting to enjoy what I have. I have reached a point where I want to buy only items that I think will be really special. Sometimes it feels like buying makeup is more of a habit, albeit one I enjoy. I love makeup, I always will. But I don’t just want to keep adding and adding to my collection and not be able to enjoy anything! I really hope see see more videos in this style (the shop my stash/nothing new style) on your channel-they are my absolute favorites!

Love this!& all that you said for your future videos🙂some of my hidden gems are the $3 elf prime & stay face powder in beige for bronzer & the $3 bright pink blush.
I do the same contour trick, but with the revolution fast base stick foundation. Doesn't work as an actual foundation for me, but it is lovely as contour and bronzer.
Yesssss!!! The unlimited mascara is my favorite. My hidden gem is the L’Oréal True Match Foundation.

BellahStone Journey omg I wanted to love it but that foundation looked like a hot mess on my face 🤧🤧 it gave me no coverage and just looked weird and patchy
I recently started using maybelline dream bb cream, both the "pure" and the "fresh" ones. I have fairly dry skin and regular foundation just has NOT worked on mean no matter how I apply it or what brand I get, it just looks cakey. So I use the "pure" one on my cheeks where my pores are open (on top of the nyx pore filler primer) and the "fresh" one on the rest of my face on top of a more hydrating primer, then I spot conceal and conceal under my eyes with the Maybelline age-rewind concealer in the warm-light shade (my skintone is medium with yellow undertones). This works MUCH better for me than using regular foundation, and it looks like i'm wearing nothing on the skin. But it's not really a solution for long days, as it simply wears too quickly.
My hidden-gem holy grail products are:
-Milani Conceal and Perfect foundation AND powder
-ELF camo concealer (not hidden gem lol totally worth the hype tho)
-Essence Lash Princess (green tube) and Essence 18-hr waterproof eyeliner...that liner will NOT come off 😂😂😂

I like the Milani Prep Set & Glow powder & the NYX finishing powder to top off my Essence Fresh Foundation with the e.l.f. Camo concealer. I use any of my 5 e.l.f. beauty sprays to melt the powders & set with Wet N Wild Natural spray.

If you do another one please try bourjous cc cream. It's my long term fave foundation (if you can get it in the US). I have tried others over the year but always go back to bourjous as it's great coverage yet so natural 😍

I love this kind of videos from you. With the suggestions of your viewers, your completion looks soooooo amazing healthy! You may say the bronzer shades are not for you, but they look amazing on you, also the blush the combination of all the shades looks so naturally tan. I will try the suggestions too. Please post a 3rd video with the 2nd round of drugstore products. This Christmas I discover the plumping glosses from e.l.f. and I love them too. e.l.f. is new in Germany and I'm trying the products and so far most of them are great. I really think you look amazing with the combination of these products. You mentioned that you want to do more videos concentrating on tutorials. That is a great idea or project for this year. I will be very thankful!!! :)

OMG the things you said about using products that you already have instead of buying more makeup speaks to my heart. One of my goals for 2020 is to buy only make up products that I need for my routine instead of buying every new thing that comes to the market.
I strongly believe that TH-cam and social media culture in the world of make up pushes people with an overwhelming amount of pressure to buy new stuff. The passion for looks and the artistry of make up have been surpassed by the consumerism of the new, the novelty and the social pressure of having what everyone else has. It was not like this a few years ago or maybe I did not perceived this pressure.
Always like your opinion on products we can actually afford.
I love the fact that you do more interactive videos rather than just about new launches... it makes me look at different products differently when I am at a drugstore or the drugstore section at Ulta or Walmart... I would love to see a part 2 of this, it’s so fun

For your dry cracked hands, PLEASE try the Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop! Last May when it started getting cold and aircon-dependent my hands started cracking, but after putting on my hemp hand cream three nights in a row my hands were back to normal :) I work for the body shop and it's in our top 5 best sellers, I've had a customer who's said it's the only thing other than steroid creams that has helped her dermatitis, and people use it for eczema all the time.
I didn’t see this in time to submit one but for the comments, the L’Oréal color Riche matte lip liners (specifically in matte-stermind) is my big drugstore gem favorite

the wet n wild photo"something" eye primer is my holy grail. very similar to UD primer potion
The elf Primer Infused bronzer in Sunkissed is a new hidden gem for me. Also, the elf micro brow pencil in Taupe...I cannot be without it. I also apply my concealer by depositing all of the product from the applicator to my ring finger. I then warm it up between both ring fingers THEN apply to my under eye vs going right on the eye area with the applicator. I found I use much less product AND achieve the same (if not better) results.

CYO lifeproof foundation is still available on the Walgreens website, stock up discontinued or not. It is hands down, highend or drugstore, the most stunning foundation I have ever used. There is also supposedly an exact formula dupe by Soap and Glory, if Taylor says so believe it. I am shocked that Allie has not tried the CYO, it is something she will love!

Hi Allie watch out for lip products that feel minty - they may contain camphor, mint, peppermint etc which feel nice and cooling but actually dry out your lips more. The best healing lip balm that does not contain any irritating ingredients is the Cicaplast from La Roche Posay

Part 2 ! Alsooooooooo i like that bronzer on you. My fav hidden gem bronzer is the sun club matte bronzing powder by essence. It has an amazing formula and its 5 bucks for so much product ! 💞
Some of my hidden gems is
Covergirl smoothers tinted moisturizer (I do 2 layers and it never looks cakey and I use some Revlon candid concealer for the under eyes and to spot conceal )
I use flower beauty setting powder in translucent . (Makes my skin look smooth and feel really soft)
Loreal telescopic mascara.
Elf blush.
And the covergirl peach Scented blush and highlighter pallette .
And a nyx liquid eyeliner (forgot the name) but it never dries out so I love it 💛💛
And I use wet and wild rose setting spray or the coconut one.
I've always been curious about the powders, but is it the big one that I heard a few TH-camrs complain of the bulkiness? I don't mind that since I don't travel & that was their main concern.
I would love to see a part 2! My hidden gem in the NYX born to glow concealer. It has great demi-matte coverage but somehow it's SO LIGHTWEIGHT. Also I love the videos that have 'using what I have' vibes. Contentment is always a good thing to spread on the internet.
My hidden gem is the Epic Ink Liner from NYX. I found it so great. It is like KVD tattoo liner in trooper black, but 10 times better.
Allie always says how her lashes are naturally long, so getting them like that isn't too tough for. But, I would have liked to see the lashes without the primer too to be able to better assess the product.
I love these videos, and I also appreciate all the “nothing new” type videos. As a viewer, it’s impossible to keep up, so it’s always so nice to see you re-use the items you love.
The essence shadows are BOMB. They look so foiled and wet and are so affordable

The Maybelline FitMe In Toffee has been my go-to cream contour/bronzer for awhile now! It does get a little too warm on me in the winter, but in the summer it is perfection, and because it is a foundation it stays in place really well!
I’d love to see a Part 2! My hidden gems: the Revlon Pore Perfecting Primer (I know you said you got the wrong one for this video-I definitely recommend the other one, the one that was recommended. It is one of the best pore filling primers I’ve ever tried). Also the No7 pressed powder is incredible as well. I also swear by the Milani Stay Put eyeliners, particularly the one in espresso (the ones that look very similar to the Urban Decay 24/7 packaging). Can’t wait to see the high end version of this video!

Many of us who don't play with makeup for a living/don't have huge collections of palettes, do eyelooks with just shimmers. I had one rimmel quad palette for like 10 years, all shimmers, and I had so many good makeup days with it! 😊 The medium brown shimmer in it, was a great crease colour. Its nice to see you youtubers go against "the rules" sometimes. 👍😊

What did you suggest? I have stubborn brows & need a good gel setter please! I like the pencils from BH Cosmetics & Wet N Wild, I don't like it when I buy a pencil that ends up pulling too warm. Not skilled enough at pomade, but I do like the one from e.l.f.
MsButterFlySting80 Nyx fill and fluff! Its pretty thick, so if you have thin eyebrows and use eyebrow pencils to shape I don’t recommend it. I have thicker eyebrows and just need them to be filled in, so its perfect for me. For a setter, essence makes a great brow gel! They are also super cheap. They have a clear one but I’ve never tried it, I just go with the brown one.
@@MsButterflysting Almay has a brow gel that is incredible!! I have unruly brows and it keeps them in place ALL DAY.

Allie! I’ve never used the essence highlighter as a finishing powder but I have used the SUNlighter as a finishing powder. I’m like you and it’s too dark as a highlighter on me but great as a finishing powder! I gotta try that mascara!!!!!
I feel the same way about being happy with what I have makeup wise and feeling like I don’t need more, and then colourpop gets me every time. 😂😂

I love it when you do these! Looks just like something you'd have done. My winter fave staple is Honest Beauty white nectarine lip balm. Amazing strange long lasting hydration. It looks like a clear lip gloss stick but it has these shimmers in peachy pink reds that come from nowhere. But it didn't look like you just put glitter on your lips either. This stuff hydrates my lips for hours while outside running errands on a dry desert (NM) ccccold day. Nothing has ever come close to this. Just brings out my own lip color and keeps those frigid waves from sucking my lips dry. Wish I could figure out how they did this, it still doesn't look like the shimmer is in there... just plain white balm stick... odd but beautiful. Way to go Honest Beauty! Smiles and blessings...
