I need to do this. So far I just put the ones I don't use as much into a drawer and ignored them. * I have the Tarte unicorn powder brush and it's so good. I use mostly Rephr and Luxie as I have hooded eyes. I have a couple of super old real hair MAC brushes that I love and Bobbi Brown ones.
Lovely collection! I found your channel years ago when you did a brush collection review. I love my Rephr brushes too, they have good prices for natural hair brushes.
I have hardly any brushes so this chick got such FOMO 😂❤ I’m not putting makeup on too much now that I’m chronically ill but hoping one day I will again
I used alcohol on my RT brushes but now I am thinking maybe Parian Spirit might be good too. I hate how they go sticky like the Smashbox packaging. :0) x
💜💜💜TFS💜💜💜 Sorry Chris, time for a bigger house... or lose the garage? HAHAHA, teasing.. I'm so glad your head went away long enough to finish the project, I hate when what I want to do and what my body is going to allow me to do don't align...
Hahahaha I think I just need to go back to the drawing board on the room layout and perhaps invest in a better desk, the space works but it's not great and having limited storage makes it feel messy all the time because I have nowhere to put the overflow of things I'm working on, it'll have to be a project for the future lol
Exparament on the RT brush you are decluttering to see if rubbing alcohol, vinaigrette, or googone works. I feel like something should lift and remove the degrading plastic but also the wrong thing could make it worse.
I've tried that on mine and it doesn't work. I then started putting sticky tape over the ends to cover it up, but now I just bin them when I find a brush has the issue. I asked someone about it years ago (either RT customer service or just one of the many makeup artists here on yt and they basically said it's just the brush "aging")
I just used isopropyl alcohol to get the rubber off my Real Techniques brush handles once the rubber started to break down and get tacky.
I used acetone-free nail polish remover, and that worked, too.
I was going to bin my brushes today thanks for the tip
Would love to have from you an in depth tutorial of how exactly you use a lot of these brushes!

I think you should put the brushes you don’t use (but want to keep) in a separate area. Then just put ones you use frequently in the tubs
Yup that's what I'll do :) xx

Listened to this while cleaning my brushes. Thanks for the morivation and company!
Where did you get those clear containers?
From Amazon, they are the Jabykare 28 PCS Clear Drawer Organiser (I bought two sets), they are a bit cheaper now too because of Prime day :)

i used nail polish remover with acetone and it was really messy, but it removed the sticky gue very well.
oo useful! I've been on the hunt for some decent liner brushes
In the eye brush section. Whats the brand with light lavender purple handles?
They're Ela Cosmetics brushes, great synthetics at a reasonable price and their makeup sponge is probably my favourite :)
@@HaileyO thank you

I threw out my real techniques brushes because that gunky stuff ruined the lacquer of one of my other brushes. awful.
Yeah I throw mine when it gets to that stage.
Hey do you have any makeup brushes you not going to use it can you help me please
Just because you feel like you "don't have a whole lot" of high end brushes, didn't mean they didn't cost a whole lot! 😜🤣🤣❤
Oh they cost me a WHOLE lot 😅 worth it though!
😊❤
