this interview is shot at the centre and it is one of the centre rules to refrain from all kinds of physical contact which means even shaking hands. Love Goenkaji. Metta to all
highest truth (...(in this or the next world)...in all human bodies...and in the entire world & universe THERE IS NO SOLIDITY...Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama), 2600 years ago...he has realised...to look inside (not outside!!!)..., to realise it, on your own...without apparatus (CERN) ... 3,9 Milliarden Euro building costs! Tina Turner-Song: "simply the best".
Goenkaji sits with an open hand facing outward, and it is a Buddhist mudra drawing attention to the Buddha's teaching. Shaking hands is a modern social etiquette that acknowledges an individual entity (or ego-based entity). It runs against his purpose of giving teaching and blessing.

Yes it's strange... I've been to a Goenkaji Vipassana 10 day meditation course and nobody is allowed to shake hands with the teachers ;)))
Actually he raised his hand as a gesture of blessing which the interviewer mistook for a handshake lol
Please upload the full interview video 🙏🙏
There is no ego, but we pretend to have one and thus all the noise. A path to nothing.
R.i.p

A person is not to talk either (noble talk is ok). He may have just missed the hand :)
Where can I see the full interview
