I'm glad you included the gambler challenges from RDR2, more specifically Gambler 8. I was honestly debating if going for 100 percent completion was even worth it after attempting Gambler 8. Gambler 9 isn't as bad as 8 but still painful AF.

I got so frustrated with some parts of the old assassins creed games. Orlog (dice game) in valhalla has broken me. The more you do the more cheaty the A.I get. I give up using strategy entirely and just spammed thors hammer or whatever it called. The one that does direct damage.

There's a trick you can do at the last part. You basically go behind the memory barrier but not too far behind that you'll desynchronize and you can take care of most of the obstacles without putting yourself in danger.

I remember there is actually a way to cheese this kinda. I mean its still hard but it would be useless to try and attempt by just walking around randomly. There is a certain route to follow on the map that makes a lighting bolt strike every time at the same time, still have to have perfect timing but you can 100% predict when the strike comes.
tbh the most infuriating thing i have every done in a game is the ffx chocobo race challenge.... I cant express how mad that made me lol. And i did it on the original ps2 then the remaster again for the bloody trophy!

The main issue is fatigue, in the original game it's a little easier as way in beginning of the game the boss in the Al-Bhed ruins can drop a no encounters weapon.
If you need a break stand under one of the lightning rods, DO NOT open the menus as lightning can strike when the screen fades in and out.

The 200 dodge is pretty easy, although time consuming. Just look up the crater trick. You can loop around a specific crater and the lightning strikes the same place, same time, every time. Still an endurance slog, but it removes the randomness making it a ton easier

For the Delicate Flower quest, the easiest way to do it is to figure out the path you want to go and clear out all of the enemies on it before grabbing the flower. You will still face some enemies, but the ones that don't respawn unless you sit at a bench won't be there making it much easier. Well, at least until that one stupid jump entering the last area that ended 90% of my runs. If you set a dreamgate near where you pick up the quest you can warp back there if you take damage, allowing you to retry without having to clear your route again.

Or at least until you've learned that: you need to put the right characters, with the right skill sets, on the right places on the pre-battle map; AND you need to spend some 3-5 hours leveling up your party before every "major" plot point. Then, you'll only have to go through every mission twice or thrice.

I am currently playing the game with character restrictions so each character can only be a single class, 4 random classes and Ramza as only a squire, and playing 5 different games so I use all 20 character classes, with no grinding for xp. I just went through that fight. It's a beast.
The game is surprisingly well balanced when using the character classes without mixing abilities, though. The game actually really loses a lot by allowing you to mix those classes, because you never get to see, for instance, how great the oracle class is at physical combat, because of a weapon with 2 range, allowing you to avoid most counter attacks, and that is based on magic power instead of attack power, allowing him to do incredible physical damage because of his high magic attack power, and the skill that reduces damage from physical attacks, making him quite capable in a fight.
All of the classes are so well designed and balanced that it's a shame all of that just gets thrown out the window because you just mix all the best skills together to create a bunch of super characters who can do everything.

In Final Fantasy 10, I always found it harder to get a score of 0.0 time in the Chocobo Race to get Tidus's sword. I beat the 200 lightning strikes in a row around my third try. Also, if people think that Final Fantasy: Tactics is hard, they clearly have never played Tactics: Ogre. There are so many decisions in that game, that no matter what you do will eventually end up "screwing youself" over somehow (example: "Long Live Walsta!" ending).

The reason the Witcher 3 quest is so difficult is because the enemies do almost pure elemental damage, and almost every piece of Witcher armor you can make has absolutely no elemental resistance (with the exception of 1 or 2 sets) and the armor you’re likely to be wearing at that point in the game leaves you totally vulnerable to elemental damage. It’s the same problem you run into with Caranthir in the main game and the spectral Olgierds in the painted world in Hearts of Stone. Manticore and late game Viper armor gives you the best protection from elemental damage and even that isn’t very high.

When you make it all the way to the roof of Riovannes Castle in FFT you have to protect Rafa and Malak while you fight against Marquis Elmdore and his two assassins Celia and Lede. All three of them can easily KO Rafa and Malak before you even get a turn. And this is, like, the third battle in a series so if you only have one save file and have been saving over it it's entirely possible to get into a situation where you can't protect Rafa and Malak and you've soft locked yourself. The game also pulled that kind of nonsense earlier, when Ramza squares off against Weigraf solo.

Hope to god that you can get a fast Quen shield off, maybe toss a Northern Wind bomb at the closest wizard, then run back into the archways where the statues were earlier so that the enemies sort of funnel into that area and turn the corner towards you where their pikes don't have a range advantage like it would in the wide open area.

I completed the W3 Extreme Cosplay on Deathmarch. With a very specific build, the fight is very challenging and time consuming, but not impossible. The strategy to succeed is: (1) have the skill that adds health when using stamina, in this way you heal every time you use Quen; (2) upgrade your Yrden to be larger and damage enemies inside; and (3) the tactic is to place Yrden under wizards and run away (they won't approach you). Then you take care of secondary enemies first, after which is becomes a little easier to deal with just the wizards: stun them with Aard, place Yrden, run away and just dodge their attacks - eventually they die.

Any quest in a game that forces you to use some underdeveloped aspect of the game. That forces you to not only to fulfill the requirements to pass, but has the added unspoken of challenge of having to fight against awful mechanics and/or bugs.
I'm reminded of, I think it was Just Cause 4? Pretty sure it was that one. A timed challenge mission that had you on a motorbike. Driving in that game is an afterthought as it is, but being on a bike makes it all the more unstable. I can't count the number of times I went through that challenge where everything from invisible ruts in the ground to inexplicably falling off the bike because the game decided you landed wrong even if it looks perfect, leads to you failing to get to the goal in time. It's optional, but it's still frustrating as hell when a game's own mechanics are so poorly done that it can turn an 'OK challenge' into something that takes far too long to beat (in my case around an hour, when the challenge would run its course in around a minute I think), assuming you don't give up in frustration. Incidentally, when I did beat that challenge it was with a relatively large margin of error (multiple seconds to spare). That's the only thing really difficult about that challenge, the devs just half-assed the part of the game that it relied on.
Also, every escort mission where the NPCs are stupid and/or squishy. Nobody has ever liked an escort mission in the history of ever (hyperbole, but barely). The only time they're OK (or even have the potential to be fun) is when the one you're escorting doesn't actually need you to live (they're either invincible or just OP, and they don't move at a snail's pace).

The one that wasn’t playing at the moment acted as the “navigator” giving directions, calling out enemy cars and giving potential strats. Even with that strat it took a while as you either have to drive perfectly and have the enemy AI be lenient enough or wait until the AI screwed itself badly and gave you enough room to breathe to be able to finish the mission.

Helpful tip for new Assassins Creed players:
In the tank mission, it's easy to move out of the way of the stationary turrets since their sights are stationary but don't get cocky. To take down the first enemy tank, circle around them and keep firing. Don't worry. You don't take damage from your own shots. Lastly, and this is the crucial part, when you enter the last area, pull back immediately into the desynchronization area. The enemy tanks will get close to you to fire but won't for some reason. Extremely helpful since you can't circle around both of them.
    You're welcome. 😎

For the FFX lightning dodge, there is a way to make this easier. You get No Encounter on your armour and it’ll stop random fights. • @aa-tx7th
    @aa-tx7th ปีที่แล้ว +1

    for the venus sigil 200 bolts;
    1. equip a no encounters armor (hurr durr)
    2. there is a very specific part of the map (somewhere in the NE if i remember correctly, also there may be multiple but i know of only one for painfully obvious reasons lol) that forces you in one spot and wont allow you to move while dodging. this is important for two reasons: you'll be able to immediately dodge again and keep your focus instead of watching tidus jump around and different parts of the map actually have different timings for the lightning and the particular spot i used had a rithym that was predictable, it still varied but it both gave you enough time to reset your nerves and wipe your sweaty palms after each strike and didnt take 1000 years between flashes.
    3. listen to music or youtube or whatever. no youre not gonna miss timings just because youre focused on a voice or music. trust me, youre gonna gain the lizard brain level muscle memory of FLASH EQUALS PRESS BUTTON really really REAAAALLY quickly. and if you get bored and frustrated, it doesnt matter how focused you are youre gonna be miserable and this is a video game and a top 3 or 4 of all time one at that.
    4. get used to failing and brushing it off. doesnt matter if you fail at 1 or 199. same result. its done. only thing youre doing by getting mad is hurting yourself and delaying the completion of the quest. immediately start again and before strike 2 youre already back in the zone.
    5. most importantly, learn the flash's rithym. its there in that spot. its real, its simple, and it works. youll be dodging bolts DURING the flash and not AFTER it and the brain delay/panic of having to wait AFTER the flash and already being too late once you regain control of your thumb is what gets you everytime.
follow those five tips and youll get the venus sigil very quickly and easily. dont and youll probably give up before and thats a shameful sad way to live your life especially when playing a literal masterpiece like ffx.

    • @aa-tx7th

oopsie poopsie forgot a 6th and that is of course start a timer for 23 minutes right before your first flash. dont ever forget to restart it after each failure.

freaking COUNTING them like the vid states is almost guaranteed to distract you far too much.
VERY bad idea. let your phones timer do the counting for you ffs... 🙄🙄🙄

Didn't think The President's Run(or a driving game) would make it into such a list! The mission was difficult though, since the heavy armoured limousine was very heavy and rather slow while the game ramped up the AI's speed and aggressiveness past the point of normal, sometimes you'd hear the police cars before you'd see them as they'd fly past you over the in- and declines. Watching Jimmy Broadbent try to beat it, it was both funny and frustrating.
I think I beat the whole game after it, then went on to Driver 2 and completed that as well, finally, after years of owning both. I alwways just cruised around before that as a kid, didn't have a memory card back then(yeah, I don't think I had grasped the "importance" of one back then and didn't ask for one or bought one myself) to save my progress. Maybe that was beneficial to my mental well-being xD
TBH, Driver 2 was even more annoying because the framerate would keep crashing down and nearly turn into a slideshow. The mission where you have to chase a car through traffic and then basically ram it off a cliff road was made even more difficult because of it. And if you were in a longer "session", the game would also be no stranger to hang itself up(already experienced that in free roam mode).
But hey, I like driving games so I didn't give up :)
Did I mention yet that the menu music of Driver is a banger?

Mourning’s End, Part 2: The Temple of Light in Runescape. It has the longest, most complex single puzzle I’ve ever seen in a game. Even with a guide telling u exactly how to do it, it still takes hours to do it

The Underground Pass in RuneScape definitely pulls a close second for me in terms of most hated quests. It’s a long series of sequential puzzles rather than a single puzzle, but it takes sooooooo long. And it’s a pain in the ass to leave, resupply and come back cuz u have to go through all the caves u already solved again

Seeing the lightning FFX task made me think of the similar challenge presented in World of Warcraft. In the Throne of Thunder raid, there is a section where there are water geysers that shoot you into the air by standing on them. In one room, there's a ring of them and the task is to bounce from geyser to geyser without touching ground 250 times. Its several minutes of continuous bouncing with pretty high precision required. The reward is a super soaker toy.

If I remember correctly [it's been awhile since I've played Final Fantasy Tactics] there are actually quite a few places in FFT where you can soft lock your game if you don't have backup saves. I seem to remember it happening to me a few times.

Yup, 1v1 wigraf fight, where he always goes first and often times attacks twice. Then after you beat him, he transforms and your squad joins. If ramza not set up properly for the 1v1 your screwed

This game traumatized me, now i always make multiple backup saves, even though no modern game soft locks you like that anymore

Castlevania 64, the stage where you had to carry nitro. Caused more Game overs than the first mission of dark souls for me. I was pretty young at the time, but I'll never forget finally finishing that stage.

The quest you highlight you highlight for TW 3...it's challenging, sure, one of the few battles in that game which are, but no, not impossible. I wouldn't even classify it as unfair. Refreshing in a game that goes to extremes to hold the player's hand? Sure. Tip: Manticore.

Driver - the presidents run. I loved that game so, so much and it took me probably well over 500 attempts over a few months to complete.
It's one game I'd be happy to see remade for PS4/5

In Chrono Cross one of the trophies calls for feeding the dragons 100 times in a mini game early on. I assume it's possible, but I've only gotten to around 60 in my best attempts.

Feeding the dragons is so difficult that the only way you're likely to be able to complete it is using the slowdown you get with new game plus.

Delicate Flower quest took me about a month (maybe a month and a half) to do, the best way to do it is to practice like I did every day. The right path makes all the different in the world, but I found the queen garden is where you need to practice the most. Especially the closer you are to the end goal, that last jump dash is almost heart attack inducing.

Lol when I saw the name of this video I thought about the final mission in driver. Lol then I seen you had it on here. I am one of the few people who have managed to beat the final driver mission. Going straight down the road till you reach the road your destination is on is the best path. Best strategy is to keep an eye on the cars chasing you and when they go to ram you line your car up with there's. This helps prevent you from spinning out because of the impact although they come at you from the opposite way as well so you really only want to look behind your self right before you see them moving in up on you. The next hardest part is dealing with all the road blocks. The best way to get around those is to willing slow down a bit once you get close take a ram in the ass from one of the cars chasing before trying to make your way through. After being ramed from behind as long as you avoid crashing the cars chasing lose abit of speed all of them do for just a split second while them hitting you will make you speed up. It will take a few seconds for another ram to come but most of the time the only way around the road block is on the sidewalk with not a lot of room. When going around the road block don't stay on the sidewalk to long because even if they hit you straight on your car still shakes abit and will still change the direction your driving slightly and you will crash and the very second you are past the road block cut back on the road because another ram from the people chasing and if your lucky you can trick them into crashing into the road block giving you a bit more time. If your unlucky they will hit you on the sidewalk and it's basically over. And on the only two turns you should really make you should cut in as close to the corners as you can get.othere wise it's almost a certain you will be hit. It's would probably be advisable to take one in the back a second or two before attempting the turns. Even with these tactics your failure rate will probably be well over 99% that is literally how hard this last mission is. And it's a driving game dark souls has nothing on this game.

That Driver one was absolutely infuriating, right up there with the race in Mafia for 100%. I'd forgotten about that tank in Brotherhood, Witcher ones honestly get a lot easier on Deathmarch if you start newgame+ maxed out. The one in the video was easy enough to cheese by going up the stairs then kiting them into the corner and dealing with them one at a time. If you fight them in the courtyard it's a lot harder.
